  1. See if this still works https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=136046
  2. You might want to post this question on the mod thread linked but, if you’re using OvGME or JSJME you can test the mod with impunity,
  3. Cargo Indicator workin last I checked. Remember, a cargo has to be selected for the indicator to appear. The Cargo Camera was decommissioned but revived in Holton181's mod https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3622861 If you use it, remember it only comes on when you're airborne. Also, check out "Cargo View" in View Category. The vanilla version of this view can be disorienting. A fix for this, however, can also be found in Holton's mod. Have fun.
  4. If you’re asking how you “tune that in” with R-828, the answer is through the ME. The only R-828 tuning you can do on the fly is with the Channel Selector. So, you can create your scenario with up to 10 FM freq options. Did you watch the vid I linked?
  5. Homing in the Mi-8 is done with ARC-UD in conjunction with R-828 Note that R-828 freqs are preset in Mission Editor then “selected” on the R-828 panel. No other way to dial freqs. For procedures see the DCS Flight Manual (117-119, 126-129) and Chuck’s Manual (95-97). And this
  6. Cargo Indicator appears but doesn’t work. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=202837 Hmm, apologies if this isn’t a ‘cockpit’ issue.
  7. With Simple Radio set up a hat switch to to select radio and serve as your PTT simultaneously.
  8. Could you expand on this? Thank you.
  9. I find that if I’m in game I can turn on TrackIR and unplug/replug ANY usb device and T-IR will work in DCS.
  10. A no frills small accessory monitor is incredibly convenient.
  11. Using VoiceAttack’s cursor moving functionality, you can navigate those menus without involving any key bindings. “Leave Server”, “Exit”, “Resume” etc... with a single voice command. One can also actuate all the icons in the f10 menu using same modality. I do it in 2D. Pretty sure it can be done in VR as well.
  12. Is this behavior independent of the position of the “Route Mode” switch?
  13. If Mile’s rec doesn’t solve your issue, keep in mind that with VoiceAttack you can center the mouse cursor and restore focus on DCS with a single voice command. It sure helps me when these old eyes can’t find the cursor on my 65” 4K monitor. Can’t even imagine managing VR without VA.
  14. I don’t believe DCS dropping TrackIR is the issue being described. It’s realizing that Track IR was not operational before getting in the game.
  15. Try disconnecting/reconnecting ANY USB hub. Track IR should become recognized without coming out of game.
  16. Check out track file in F2 view. But yah, Hilton and Ramsay prob right.
  17. All the above recommendations will get you right. I’d like to add another. I call it the pinky grip. The pinky positioned as shown allows you to manipulate most buttons/hats with your thumb without losing fine control of the cyclic inputs. What you can’t see in the photo is that my forearm is almost completely resting on my thigh. Stay with this new setup. It will soon become second nature and flying more fun, particularly the heli’s.
  18. Check this out https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215573&highlight=fm+homing&page=2 Park a Huey on board.
  19. Not if Route Mode is disengaged and you reset trim after repositioning (or held down trim during repo).
  20. Check out “Route Without Task” in the manual (10-29).
  21. This can be an issue in 2D with monitor and game resolution mismatch. Not sure bout VR.
  22. If you’re using VoiceAttack, you can program the button to center the cursor, or place it anyplace you like.
  23. Resolved. DCS uses DDM (degrees decimal-minutes) instead of DD. Thanks to tom 19d.
  24. Yup, did not recognize DDM. My Man.
