  1. Hi all got a question.. So I decided to down load the files for the Panels at the beginning of thread. I contacted a cnc shop and asked them to review the files and give me a price on making some of the panels. For myself I was looking at the DXF files thru Freecad 0.15 and notice that some of the letters where the machine would pocket out the material for the lettering was missing. In corresponding emails with the cnc shop they mentioned the same thing that he would have to redo the lettering on the panels cause they were incomplete. So I guess my question is to be able to view the panels where they all look complete what program does one use for that? I am thinking that I need a specific programs that was used to view them? Thanks Brew
  2. Hi, I had FOV issue where I was too close to the dash when I got three monitors. If your using TrackIR my problem in the controls setting of the game TrackIr the z axis wasn't in there. Some how it got deleted.
  3. Ok I didn't think about that ill inquire in the forum if this doesn't pan out thanks!
  4. Nice! Congrats on the new stick. But I need your help! Since you found your broken warthog stick everyday I type in looking for defunc and broken warthog stick and don't find a darn thing. I was wondering what you use to search for it. My goal is like you to get the stick someone thought was broken or is broken retro out with another after market board of some sorts and reprogram it. I currently have a throttle I am bidding on not going to say for fear someone will try to out bid me but its older throttle and looks like a warthog handle and I am going to retro that throttle to my own board. So I can get the dual throttles. Thanks!
  5. Gloveone has got the idea make it seemless with games! " We are willing to be a “plug & play” gadget for any platform in a transparent way. Just put on Gloveone and enjoy the haptics with the existing games."
  6. That is way cool.
  7. FiestyLemur Thanks! DTA is cool I just thought it was a good option. In my back ground I'm shy on the programing side, I can figure out a lot of the wiring stuff but to look at programing it requires a lot concentration which comes easy for other people. Thanks for confirming that it works.
  8. Hey Patriot nice panel! I was wondering what are the measurements on the power panel. Thanks
  9. Nice panel!!! ah ok that makes sense auto hot key, after I posted I emailed them and asked about DCS world he said "We do not have a copy of DCS, but I was told that flight functions associated with DCS require keyboard inputs, of which our boards do not support, except for the KBD01 keyboard emulator:" So I didn't realize not all functions or buttons are only bound to keyboard. he did say KBd01 will work its the keyboard emulator. Thanks
  10. Hey all thought I through this in the ring, just found this website selling toggle switch boards that emulate a click SO there is no code messing with in DCS controls. I am thinking it sounds good and probably gonna try it. Anyone try it with DCS yet? It looks like just another connection to windows. They got acouple of different boards too.. http://www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Model_2120/ LOL! Nice catch Thanks!
  11. I Congrats Pappavis.
  12. Nice work Asticher.
  13. Heres a pic of the new and improved 3d pro with the new pot on it. I call it the repurposed joy and the actual pot is the bottom pic. So the ebay listing Sokol1 found might be pretty close minus the nub on the side of the pot.
  14. Pappavis, that looks like a stout base the Chinese 3040. I would say the problem would be is how much play it would have once it started moving. I think the idea everyone getting at is for precision once it started moving in different direction where it held a square 90degree turn or alittle slop and it kind of blown out corners. Like this guy. Looks like he built it out of run of the mill angle pieces at the shop.he talks about the slop in his drawing the first 3 mins I think. [ame] [/ame]
  15. Nice I think its doable. But you learned and that's the idea. Re-engineer I like that word. So I can see the point of I have no time to research and figure out what the best design for me is, I need this now I can earn a living or get my project done next week. That makes sense too. Its what works for you. I am just in to learning why. And like you said re-engineer to make it better. Thanks
  16. Hey so I have a 3D Pro that one of the axis was jittery. This joystick has potentiometers and so I thought mine was bad so I took the joystick apart and solder some jumpers to a new one and hooked em up to the plug of the defective pot and recalibrated the axis in the joystick properties and it function normal. So the pots in the joystick are small and have a plastic housing. So I think they wear out quick. Especially the twist I found when I was in a dogfight or a tense moment I was always twisting the stick with out knowing it. Good luck.
  17. Hi Warhog, I like Pappavis has been looking at building my own cnc machine. I ran across this kit on ebay was wondering if you have heard of anyone that has any experiences with it. I thought even if the power box and controller board are junk there still Nema23 motors. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261814829330?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82 And then I kind of like this site the have alot parts. And motors are not that expensive either. http://www.openbuilds.com/ http://www.openbuilds.com/ I thinking of building a setup to do cnc machining and maybe away to convert to a 3d printer. I have been trolling the web a lot for DIY cnc machines. Like Openbuilds there are forums out there that are all about the DIY. With people tons of knowledge in the diy cnc. Anyways I wanted to share a few links I knew of and thanks for your expertise and time.
  18. wow nice I like your set up! So the tactile buttons are they solder to pcb boards?
  19. Hey Headwarp so just a side note I have hooked up the 3 westinghouse's 1 via dvi port with vga adapter and the other 2 are plugged in to 2 displayports to vga cords. the Tv them selves only have VGA ports. The funny thing is I have a old vizio 37" with a vga port in the back. I used to run that tv with a custom rez thru Nvdia's control panel 2560x1440. which was awesome for the games and im not quite sure how it worked 1080p timings I guess. cause I can't get these Westinghouse's to go there at all it comes up setting not supported. I think the older TV's controller boards were not sensored so to say. there was a post in the ATAG IL2 CLod forums a guy posted about the custom rez's. Technically when I look at the specs of my card on Geforce webpage the highest res over the analog VGA port for the GTX970 is 2048x1536. Which I thought was interesting. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-970/specifications
  20. Thanks Miles appreciate the reply and good job on the retro fit..
  21. Hey Miles was wondering so you didn't have to mess with the joystick code any to you just flopped potentiometer with hall sensor and the joystick code see's it the same. You get full motion still?
  22. Yes iam technically it's 5760x1080 got 3 of them. Side note I did have another 40 inch that allowed me thru the custom res section of nvidia control panel to run 2560 x1440 . And then looking at my card specs nvidia states that the VGA port has a max res of 2048x1536.my card is a GTX970
  23. Hello Andre, I was wondering in reference to the separated left and right setting in Simshaker. Is that for the Gametrix seat only or can I use that setting with my buttkicker. I am researching on how to make surround feeling with small puck tactile Transducers. What channel on my separate sound card does shimshaker use to separate the sound center/subwoofer channel? Thanks for your help! Brew.
  24. Hi, SO i run 3 40inch westing house LCD Tv's via the vga port. It max res if i could make it go that high for vga ports is 1920x1200. currently I am runing at 1920x1080. over a GTX970. There is nothing wrong with the VGA port it works better then the standard HDMI 1.4 port. I have tried multiple times to use HDMI but i have the eyecandy syndrome. And the colors are off and the desktop looks horrible. The Icons are jaggy. So its the cheap option until the make cheap HDMI 2.0 tv's.... The 40in is pretty good size for gaming. my 2 cents thanks
