I can imagine that to have tree`s with collisions is not a trivial task, not only for performance reasons but because of the different vehicles (air and ground) in DCS. - will ground vehicles get stuck by a single tree? - can AI vehicles drive around such obstacles? - tree collisions only for aircrafts? - what about the LoS for AI? When thinking about all the ifs and buts I doubt we will get a reasonable solution.

  4. Ja, könnte man meiner Meinung nach weglassen. Es hat keinerlei Auswirkungen auf das Spiel. Und wen interessiert es schon was man in einem Spiel fürn Dienstgrad hat...;)
  5. Nicht ganz, die P-51 war eine Spielerei von ED Mitarbeitern (oder nur von Yo-Yo?), die dann irgendwann Nick Grey (von TFC) gezeigt wurde. Nick war so begeistert davon, dass ED (nebenbei) weiter an der P-51 arbeitete und schliesslich gab es ein GO! für ein P-51 DCS Modul. (Quelle: Sicher gibt es einen großen Markt für WWII Flieger und die P-51 zeigte, dass auch Props in DCS gemacht werden können.
  6. Ich verstehe sehr gut, dass einige misstrauisch gegenüber Ilya sind. Ich bin es auch, ABER mitnichten ist er allein an dem Clodo Disaster schuld! Man sollte dem Mann einfach eine zweite Chance geben! Gepledged habe ich für WWII:Europe dennoch nicht. Erstmal abwarten und dann gucken wenns fertig ist...
  7. Seems http://www.leroni.net/ isn`t reachable anymore. Don`t know where one can buy the original campaign now. But you can use BBQ`s updated mission files one by one, without the campaign structure though.

  16. +1 AFAIK, last word from Luthier was they are not sure yet if tree`s would be obstacles. I would like to know if the difficulties are still the same like with the old engine. - performance issues with a such high amount of trees and it`s collision models (seem`s so, Luthier wrote about that) - AI isn`t aware of the tree`s, so if they where obtacles AI vehicles would get stuck on them (and cannot follow the route anymore)
  17. EDGE Terrain is not released yet, so that could be the problem.:P Seriously: We have nearly same sys specs. The GFX could be the problem, indeed. What is youre loadtime when starting a Mi-8 Training mission?

  20. Since no one from BST said anything about that topic back then I really had no hope they would do it different with Mi-8... I´m sorry for you guys.
