So what happens now? Any confirmation that this bug is being tracked, worked on, etc?

I'm seeing a weird alien looking blue fog when flying with heavy cloud cover and low visibility. I'm unsure of how long I've had this because this was my first time flying in a thunderstorm. See the attached screenshots for my graphical settings, weather settings and of course the blue fog itself. My system specs are: GTX 1070 (no VR), 16 GB RAM, Core i7.

I'm waiting for the EA Hornet to become available in the stable release. Where should I be looking for news related to this? Will ED post a weekend up letting us know when this happens? This week they posted an update saying they released "DCS 2.5.2 Update 4". Is that for the open beta or for stable?

Found it in the log book (main menu). Log book has a pilot profile where you can see you pilot profile, rank and medals.

Does anyone hear a weird pulsing sound inside the cockpit when flying at high speeds, especially when supersonic? It sounds almost like a very fast heart beat.

ok, figured out what BALT is. if my understanding is correct, it's one of four autopilot modes available to us and is found under the A/P menu on the UFC. the UFC is the console in the middle with the num pad, and the A/P button is found directly under it.

what is Balt and how do I activate it?

i didn't take the day off, but i did install teamviewer on my home computer so that i can start the hornet download and installation process remotely. that way she'll be ready to go by the time i get home. ;)

rewatched top gun after a long while. it helps with the wait.

Sorry if this question has already been asked before, but how long do new modules stay in beta before becoming available in the stable release? In this case I'm referring specifically to the Hornet module which is slated for beta release on May 30th.

Wikipedia says the F/A-18 is limited to mach 1.8, whereas other aircraft of similar size such as the F-16 can go up to mach 2. Why is this? I couldn't find any other aircraft with the same thrust/weight ratio to compare with, but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the aircraft being heavier due to reinforcements + equipment for carrier ops. Not that I'm complaining; I'm sure that for me at least, going from the slow flying A-10 into an F/A-18 is going to feel fast enough regardless.
