Not too sure about that, but I would expect that trees and bushes would have needed some time to grow up to what they are, instead of growing up all in one season and then gone, only to appear again next season.

When flying around NTTR, it looks like there is hardly much vegetation / trees around some of the areas where there should be vegetation (as can be seen from Google Earth). I have my trees setting maxed out, but NTTR seems modelled almost all in desert only. Did I miss out on anything?

When flying from Nellis, it seems the ATC comm menu does not always show the Nellis ATC, depending on which ramp the flight starts from. Instead, McCarran shows up sometimes as the first option. Is this correct? Or is there a bug?

Starways Stability I am considering of trying out the Starways terrain replacement for World 1.5.x. I understand the way to do it is via JSGME. Are both of the Starways and JSGME safe to use with DCS? Especially for the Starways, does it or will it cause any stability issue to the original DCS World install? That is a primary consideration I am concerned about. Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks Snoopy. Just downloaded and looked through those charts. Just what I looked for. Fantastic. Am hoping to get similar charts for the other airports as well though.

Thanks for the good stuff ...

It could well be radio static after all, though it sounds somewhat different.

Does anyone know are there approach plates/charts for airports in the Caucasus region? I have the complete ground as well as Visual Approach and Departure charts, but there isn't any showing for example TACAN or ILS approach profiles. Would be good to have these.

Thanks Dangerman. Going to try figure that out.

Thanks again for all the helpful advice. Totally agree this method good for short legs only. Trying to nail even close to it is hard enough.

From time to time midway in flying, i would hear a hissing sound that last for a few seconds. Sounds like some compressed air being released. Anyone knows what that could be?

Thank you PiedDroit for your wonderful post. I know about Tacan Vor tracking. What i meant is how in real world a pilot could track through various waypoints that each is defined by a bearing and distance from some Vor or Tacan a distance away. One could dial in the correct Tacan and bearing course and head towards the waypoint, but crossing it at exactly the specified bearing and distance from that Tacan is really a hit or miss guess work, further complicated by wind and visibility. Give a simple example here - takeoff and fly heading 30 degree then turn to 350 then 280 then 210 degrees, with all waypoints defined from one single same Tacan. Can that be done precisely in planes with only one Tacan device?

Try lifting off only when speed near 200 knots. Seems to have less tire blow-out at higher speed lift-off (assuming proper trimming). Still, I feel there definitely is a bug somewhere given such fragile tires. If the real F5's wheels were to be that jelly, air forces the world over might have wasted off several jets by now.

Hope this is the right place to post this :- When navigating purely by TACAN tracking only, how does one keep to each precise track along a planned route? (with only one HSI and no other VOR/TACAN indicator). A good example is following a specific departure or arrival route, where there are a series of specific heading turns, with each segment crossing a certain TACAN bearing and DME distance. Gets extra challenging when done with cross-winds or in low visibility. On a separate but navigation related issue, after creating a mission with several checkpoints, is there a way to output print a table showing the various flight plan headings and distances of the created route? Like that in MSFS? Any advice much appreciated.

Any news yet regarding the deployment of GBU-12 in the F5? I'm referring to the delivery procedure. Is it possible to assign lasing without an online buddy helping to do that?

Been doing quite a fair bit of flying in the F5 in World 2,0 NTTR from various different bases. I can confirm that tire blow-outs seem quite random at times, where rotating at prescribed speeds or delaying to higher speed, though lifting at higher speed seems best option. All settings accordingly done. Sometimes even while just rolling straight down runway and waiting for rotation, the tires could just pop. Never encountered this in other DCS add-ons. Surely the real F5's tires can't be that fragile, right? Could the developer look into "strengthening" the tire value? It can be rather frustrating to have a popped tire after having set up everything and about ready to rock in a mission. Please look into fixing this. Thanks.

Any fix yet for this issue so far? The landing light just would not light up when the plane's wheels are on the ground. The only light up when wheels leave the ground, as shown up during replay. Also, any fix for the gear emergency release issue?
-
Have experienced this for several years now, across different PCs and systems and patches. Only in the A10C, not in other add-ons. Pretty sure there's a bug somewhere. Rather frustrating as landing is always a nice moment to savour. Will the developer help look into fixing this soon?
-
Okay will look into that, thanks.

Just bought this couple of days ago. Due to time constraint, I would like to jump to specific missions instead of starting in sequence from first mission onwards, is this possible?

When cruising at constant altitude, it seems the F5 needs almost non-stop trimming to stay level at fix altitude. Is it supposed to be like this in the real bird?

I did mention in my original post that Nav position lights had been switched on. NTTR map. Had not installed into World 1.5 yet.

Hope this is the right place to post this :- When I load myself up as F5E to face off a AI opponent (F5, F15, 16, 18, Mig, etc. each under Excellent Skill setting), often times after a few turning fights these fighters would turn tail and run off, with me chasing. Is there any way to make them put up a more courageous turning fight with me, instead of running off?

I too had been experiencing main tire bursting on takeoff if I attempt to lift off at 160 kt or so (near full load). Trim at about 8. Then I tried delaying lift-off to 200 kt and most times it seems to avoid tire bursting. Is the above correct? Could the main tire bursts when lifting nose up at 160 causes too much weight to be transferred to the mains, and coupled with all those slight bouncing on the ground, resulted in burst tire?
