  1. Hey guys Just wondering how I can remove the canopy scratches, which glitch out when using anisotropic filtering? I've tried the "Canopy without Scratches" mod by Xuantam_vOz, but it greyed out the canopy on my F15 (I'm also using the 3 in 1 plane pack for FC2, which replaces the F15, A10 and SU27). I've tried a forum search and found folks who had removed the scratches, but couldn't figure out how they did it...
  2. Fantastic news - thanks Breakshot! Looking forward to giving it a shot.
  3. Hi Fahh I've tried that mod - it totally removes/breaks clouds in FC2. =(
  4. I'm having the same cloud stutter issue: I've got a relatively decent PC: i5 750 Quad Core @ 3.8GHz (100% stable) 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz 4870x2 TrackIR 4 Pro 2 x 128GB SSD for OS and game installs Win7 Ultimate 64-bit edition I'm running at 1920 x 1080, everything maxed except water at normal, mirrors off, 4xAA, 4xAF. The game generally runs very smooth, but overcast clouds bring the frame rates plummeting. Performance is fine when I'm above or below them, but as soon as I get within about 200 metres of the clouds, my frame rate starts going all over the place - dropping down very low then increasing, then dropping, increasing, etc until I pull away from the cloud layer. It happens on any mission I've flown with clouds (F15 campaign mission #2 and SU25 bad weather solo mission) - while the rest of the mission stays around 60fps, as soon as I get close to the clouds the jerk-fest begins. I remember this was a problem with the original LOMAC, but a cloud mod fixed the problem. Unfortunately I've just tried Bobocop overcast cloud mod 3.1 and it doesn't work with FC2, removing clouds entirely. Any suggestions or overcast mods that work with FC2?
  5. Thanks Exorcet - unfortunately that fix has no effect. My frame rate goes from 40-50fps down to 20ish as soon as I get close to the clouds.

  7. Answered my own question - installing the SST software fixed this. Thanks for your fantastic guide!
  8. Hi Sarge I've followed your instructions word for word, but the ministick doesn't control either the TDS or the external view. However, the mouse does. And when looking at the X52 Pro's control panel in Windows, the ministick responds fine. It appears that for some reason, FC2 isn't recognising the ministick as mouse movements - any idea why? Is there a way to activate ministick as mouse on the X52 that I've forgotten all about?
  9. Hey guys I'm running the gorgeous "A-10A, F-15C & Su-27 Joint Pack for FC2" mod - the models are absolutely breathtaking. However, I'm having a few issues with it: 1.) When flying F15 campaign, it uses the Aggressor skin as default. I can change my skin before each mission, but why can't I change my wingman's? 2.) The A-10 skins appear a little mis-matched for the environment. I've just installed the SIMMOD A-10 Live to Fly, Fly to Kill skin pack using modman 7.2, but none of these new skins have showed up. Any ideas? One final question while I'm here - should I use the TOM's JetPack-LowRes as well, as it states that it replaces many of the old models with shiny new ones. Any thoughts on this mod?
  10. Interesting - I'm running at 1920 x 1080, everything maxed except water to normal and mirrors off. I lost about 40 to 50% of my frame rate with this mod when flying the A10 campaign, parked on the runway, mission #2.
  11. I downloaded your mod - looked great, but my performance (frames per second) dropped a lot. I'm running a 4870x2 so maybe that's the issue?
  12. It seems to show up in a few of the single A10 missions, yet not in the A10 campaign. Weird?
  13. I checked the readme, and it states: "This mod will remove flickering shadows and dancing shadows on the horizon in DCS Black Shark. Backup your original CLOUDSHADOW.TGA file before installing. You will find this inside the \[Ka-50 directory]\Bazar\Terrain\Surface\LandTexturesTGA.cdds file. This mod is based on the Teka Teka mod from Lock On." I can see the cdds file... but how do I see the .tga file within this .cdds file?
  14. Awesome - any chance of a Modman pack to enable this without fiddly manual config edits?
  15. As somebody who doesn't fly FC2 online, how do I make these changes for my client in singleplayer?
  16. How do we install this? Hating the shimmering shadows!
  17. Just a quick FYI, this mod broke all clouds for me... they simply stopped appearing after I installed this mod.
  18. Hey folks I've been a very happy customer of LOMAC, FC1 and DCS Black Shark, and am about to whip out the credit card for FC2. One question before I do though - how are the new campaigns? I read that there are two new campaigns? As somebody who is too busy (cough lazy) to build their own missions, I need a large number of existing missions to justify the purchase. Looking forward to hearing your replies.
  19. Dang, if only I'd known this a few days ago, I wouldn't have ordered from the Eagle Dynamics lads.
  20. Perfect info, thanks guys. Can't wait to get my OS wiped clean to see how she runs on a fresh system!
