  1. The trees are really ruining it. Hope for a solution soon.
  2. The dials are perfectly readable on my end and they have a nice contrast to the background. When the sun hits hard..well..it's just like in real life. You can go back to flying in the old cardboard matte painting sim of a sim cockpit then:pilotfly:
  3. Wait...the dials look painted on while at the same time they cast a shadow??
  4. WOW! Congratulations Bartek! Extremely well done...the fields are the best I've ever seen, really convincing and the noise texture is also gorgeous. I particularly like the darker forest substract! Please continue adding other seasons
  5. Disregard the alliasing..I force it trough nvidia and DCS doesn't recognize it while taking screenshots.
  6. I really don't understand what some of you say that the cockpit is a let down and not like in the video. The cockpit is georgeous, all the dials are in 3D, all the detail in the gauges is scribed in and can clearly be seen when the light reflects at an angle. Everything in the cockpit interacts with the lighting, having a proper satin black finish. Also all the different materials have the appropriate surface structure which is again clearly visible when at an angle to the sun. The hud has that slightly rough and grainy surface, the leather hood for the dashnoard has these small ripples and each ripple interacts with the lighting. All in all I am absolutely stunned how the cocokpit looks and at least on my end it is exactly like in the video. Looks like the real deal and nothing like a cartoon. The time of baked in shadows is gone with pbr and even the smallest details are made to interact and appear like 3D (just take a look at the placard with the serial number on the right top side of the pit). Maybe some of you have shadows disabled or textures not set to high?
  7. It would now be really useful to have separate controls for flood and instrument lights. The new lighting in 2.5.6 introduced exaggerated interior lighting in all modules. The MiG needs a fix desperately.
  8. Cockpit shadows are still corrupt after updating to 2.5.6 despite what the change log says it being fixed. It was also supposed to be fixed in the update prior to this one.
  9. Su-24 and Su-17/22 cause a lot of stir whenever mentioned. And remember the two Su-17/22 mod projects by SVKSniper and aw33com...mybe one of them got to the license agreement. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=248221 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=247137
  10. Thank you very much for this! You sir, are a Gentleman.
  11. I can check that later when I'm home. I have specific FOV for each module in the cockpit. The screens were taken with default f2/Rctrl+f11 FoV.
  12. I have two uncropped and unzoomed screens showing the problem. The screenshots were taken with visibility setting 'medium'. Since then I have turned the visibility distance to 'high' and while there is an improvement in the lod distance changing, still it is not quite as it should be. Still can see low poly treesfrom my cockpit from time to time... https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4175455&postcount=3724
  13. Any progress on this issue? I would really like to fly the A8 more often but the fps issue prevents it.
  14. That's what I am using ;)...But there is an effect and it works and I use it from time to time but FXAA is a safe bet that there are no FPS issues for me. You set your Nvidia control panel option to Override application settings and choose a desired Aliasing (2,4,8) and then in the sim option you must select MSAA on to mininum 2. The thing is, it is necessary to activate MSAA within the sim so that Nvidia control panel has something to overwrite. If the MSAA option in the sim is left OFF, there will be no enforcing from Nvidia side.
  15. Tried with high, much better now and no performance issue as of yet..tnx Mustang. Mods, sorry for derailing the post:music_whistling:
  16. I'm running MSAA trough Nvidia inspector and while taking a screenshot DCS disregards that setting since in the sim I have it off. The settings are actually all on high except water and heatblur, no clutter, preload radius is set to max, trees visibility 100%. Anyway, everyone can check it for themselves on Gudauta. I am not bothered by that actually since you really only observe these objects from a certain distance.
  17. Trees I am also seeing the same as Nikola...The previous trees looked way better in my opinion. I know about the lods but the transition from ugly 2D 'cardboard' to modeled tree is very apparent and way to late. You can't not notice that. Cleaned, repaired, fxo and metashaders2 deleted, no mods..all the usual post update stuff.
  18. Some new structures and vehicles were added..but it is a bid debatable about the improvement...below are screenshots with old models looking better then new ones..
  19. Sadly it seems the fix did not make it in the update
  20. Talking about downgrading...I would absolutely love a 109 G6 series :)
  21. Guess I also join the club..since the last 3 updates (counting todays one) performance has gone bust. I have tried every and I mean EVERY trick in the book and I know quite a few of them since my specs are not so grand and nothing even made the slightest change. No matter what, when a bit closer to the ground stutters and fps drops start. All was fine up to the 3 last updates to Open beta.
  22. Thank you NineLine, appreciate the info
  23. I really wasn't expecting this sort of outcome...it's hard to believe that this is true and if it is, it is really disconcerning and sad. I'm really dissapointed by ED because I dissmised this option of nerfing right from the start and was convinced in EDs integrity regarding this matter...guess I was wrong.
