Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
tovivan replied to Milene's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Su-30. Dual-cockpit, thrust vectoring, avionics and weapons good enough to put us back on equal terms with the flood of Western high-tech planes to come (Eurofighter for example) and it's been exported happily to many countries around the world. No doubt enemies of Russia have also secretly bought at least one example so they know it's secrets, thus there can be no "it's details are still classified and nobody can ever find out about what it's capable of" reason for not making it. That last reason is why the Su-35, PAK-FA and maybe even 27SM3 are completely unrealistic wishes, they're still classified (first two are not even in service yet). This is a thread for RUSSIAN planes. ;-) If you want to request an American plane, there's a Wishlist thread for US planes on the same page... -

Has anyone tested this? Are we back to square one or some middle ground? -
Russian missiles - usage, bug, problems, advantages
tovivan replied to tovivan's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Just a little, eh? :P On the level of Vesuv in 79 AD. xD Random freezes, random and very frequent CTDs... I would go back to 1.2, but sadly my connection is too slow to make it sensible, so I'm holding on and hoping for fixes before New Years. -

Wow, this thread has certainly taken on a life of it's own. :) In regards to MP servers... yeah, the deathmatch is a big problem. A problem though that I think could be in big part fixed with this simple script: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=110837&page=2 Not just that, it would give incentive/motivation/reason for people to even fly choppers and incentive to PROTECT those choppers... which would mean more teamwork than now. So, would help prevent deathmatch on two fronts. Lose all choppers = lose the game. This script would maybe temporarily fix the issues stemming from the missile-issues until they get fixed (if they get fixed?). Btw., 51st guys, any idea when your server is going 1.5? -
Is deactivation really necessary with the new system?
tovivan replied to tovivan's topic in Payment and Activation
Thanks for the reply! Do I have to follow the old instructions on deactivation or is it enough if I go into the module manager and click the checkmarks/boxes to disable module? 619 -
[REPORTED]Windows mouse cursor overriding DCS yellow cross

Good to know, thanks!562 -
Thanks for your efforts, derelor! Hopefully this'll get fixed in one of the coming updates, cause that switch needs to be clickable. :) 556

If I understand the new system correctly, when you log into the 1.5 game it connects with your database on the website, checks which modules you own and registers/installs them automatically. Cause when I updated to 1.5 and entered the game, the game itself asked me if I want to download L-39 which I bought in August without me ever trying to do that before. Then it downloaded the module and then did automatic activation, without me having to do anything, not even type in the cd-key. Anyway, I just got my new hardware (cpu, mobo, ram) and will be formatting C: and reinstalling windows because of it. Do I, in view of this new automatic activation, still need to deactivate the modules I have installed? Is there still the system of limited number of activations going? Or are all activations and module registrations now handled by the in-game system? Thanks for help! 530

Thanks, quick reply much appreciated! That's just a patch and a very expensive one (not everyone will spend 500 eur for a gaming accessory, some of us come from poor countries :P ). Thankfully the team now know about it and will fix it. 532

My thanks as well! Words can not express what being able to fly in this skin means to me. Though that number on the fin interferes with the star... ;-) Thanks!

Latest update Firefox, PC, Win7, no sig. Two possibilities come to mind: 1. virus 2. Firefox issue I definitely didn't have it a few weeks ago when I was still using ancient version of FF. Tnx! 391

It's not clickable in cockpit and it's "forbidden" to bind it to a keyboard shortcut. 374

Okay, this is interesting. Apparently I'm not the only one. There are numbers at the end of your posts too. Or am I suddenly like that kid from X-Files who saw hidden binary messages in the static screen on TV? In that case they could very well be messages, Tone. Maybe I'll decode some top secret communications if I dedicate myself to this problem. :D 39

I've been having REALLY weird issue lately. Whenever I post a post there are suddenly some random numbers at the end of it that I didn't put there. They seem to appear during the posting process. What do they mean and how do I get rid of them? Thanks! 63

i5 4670K w 16gb or i5 6500 with 8gb?
tovivan replied to tovivan's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ordered the 4670k bundle. Thanks for your input everyone! 53 -
Right now I have 2x4gb of 1333mhz, noname RAMs. I'm getting some new hardware, among which will be 2x8gb g.skill at 1600mhz. My question is, if I put all of the ram into my new mobo, thus have 24gb, will they be hampered by 1/3 running at only 1333mhz instead of 1600? Will that force the 1600mhz RAMs to work at 1333mhz? Is it possible I'll get less performance than if I have only 16gb, but that running at 1600mhz? RAM has never been my strong side, so I have no clue. Thanks for help. 46

Haven't yet. However, as soon as I check out the file structure I'll be enabling Starway's. 210

Very nice performance increase noticed here as well, but am I the only one who feels the graphics look a bit washed out? As in very bright, not a lot of contrast and so on? Or is it because I am used to Starway's excellent texture mod that looked so much better than stock textures, plus Sweetfx? I've put my graphics to mid-to-high on 1080p, but I'm getting far from the effects that were shown on Wags videos. :( PS: and what's with these random numbers showing up at the end of my message sometimes? 135

On the other hand the 6500 is brand new, mobo (of the brand that I loathe to death) will be (hopefully) able to support future CPUs. But, according to cpu comparison websites, 6500 not much more powerful than the 4670K (CPUboss comparison 4670vs4690 not much difference and 4690 vs 6500 not much difference either) and can't be OC-ed (which I always end up doing). Talk about dilemma... Tnx!
