  1. not a big one ..but takeoff with open canopy will result in the same broken canopy like ejecting .
  2. @Cibit These checklists are not useable for the DCS Mi8. They used the Mi-8T , so no APU etc.
  3. Nein glaube ich nicht. Du könntest höchstens dir eine Prepaid Visa besorgen, diese mit Geld aufladen und damit zahlen.
  4. There's already a box in the setup. Just go to Mig 21 specific options and check the custom livery support box.
  5. It's fixed. And there was no FM problem after rearm. Just check Cone switch ;)
  6. Any news on the liveries ?
  7. It's easier when you climb throughout Mach 1 at a about 6000m.then start continuos climb. You should get Mach 2 at about 10000m. Some more hints - check nose cone switch - check weather ,maybe too much drag in 8000m to get faster than m1.6 ( don't know if DCS is simulating that ?!)
  8. Test the auto startup ..But it should work, I think you forget one switch.
  9. A10 engines have less EGT I think . But I don't know if thats simulated in DCS. The seeker has a +/- 20° view, so it should locked the target.
  10. You pressed the button for stabilizing ? It's above the NPP. Before landing you should repeat this to increase precision.
  11. Group 2 is feeder tank. Main fuel pump is inside. So this is the last indication light before engine will shut off.
  12. Here for german speaking users http://www.mig-21-online.de/Aerodynamik/aerodynamik_6.htm http://www.mig-21-online.de/Aerodynamik/aerodynamik_5.htm The second one shows the typical climb diagram. If you want to I can translate it a bit.
  13. It's the Mig 21 MF I guess. So BIS should do it better. There's good German page about Mig 21. I could translate this with some interesting diagrams.
  14. @turbohog No but EGT depends on airflow and fuel flow. Fuel is a fix component, air is changing continuously.
  15. Post 2 From ex Mig pilot Without AB: After takeoff best climb speed is 850-900kmh. You'll get about 60 m/s climb rate. This will decrease. After reaching tropopause engine power will increase a bit. When reaching 10000m you'll turn on AB if you want continue climb. This will be with Mach 1.8 . Then climb to max ceiling alt should be possible. With AB After AB 2 cutoff continue with about 150m/s. Same acceleration to Mach 1.8. Max alt for Mig is mostly 58400 feet. But I think this is a dynamic gained altitude.
  16. I think EGT cames from cone. It controls the air for the engine depending on speed, height, elevator movement and pressure difference. So when airflow is changing the volume of air is different and then the Temperature will rise or get lower due to rich or leaner "mixture".

    DME?

It's like main switch for starter . Mig is started with combined starter generator.
  18. It's auto on.

    DME?

There's no Apu on this plane. You have only DC Battery Backup and I don't know exactly what is driven from that, gonna look that.
  20. Next Time you can change the Pitot static source. And don't forget Pitot Heat. But when you takeoff with 26° and go up to 7000m there's a good chance for icing (Dewpoint would be interesting).
  21. You don't have to turn on the oxygen. When you hermetized the cabin its ok. There's a emergency oxygen and 100% oxygen switch. Both uses more than normal flow. I've tested a mach 2 flight to 18km altitude and after landing about 1/2 rest of oxygen was avaible.
  22. No if you're make the cone switch on its on. But after rearm, refuel, the canopy will open as a sign that all liquids etc. have been refilled. Then you will check the cone switch. Otherwise the engine will not produce enough power. So please make new test :P
  23. 3. Target Size is changeable and you could make Fixed Beam Radar mode for target range.
  24. I noticed that after Rearm and Refuel the Nose cone Switch goes off. Check this. And so youve less power.
