L-39 jets are spawning on fire in Hangars. I wonder if it's related?
-
In 1940 yes British ground radar stations were mainly large fixed arrays. Some early mobile sets existed though as some were captured at Dunkirk. By 1943 my Dad was operating a mobile set out in Burma. Radar coverage was spread out to as much of the area of operations as possible.

I can resize it smaller but the scale only changes for the cockpit/kneeboard picture. The input panels stay large scale. Opening Kneeboard Settings on my 2nd monitor reveals a "little" more of the input panels

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that IS with the Window Maximised... :(

Since the last patch the L-39 has been spawning on fire for me if it is in a HAS. If spawning Hot or Cold on an open spot then it's OK. Just in case I've run update/repair but it's still the same. Other people are getting this too so I don't think it's me. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=164562&highlight=fire

SNAP!!! That was happening to me yesterday. I have a couple of Mission files that let me test out all my modules. Basically the same miz file but one for each of: Cold on Ramp, Hot on Ramp and Hot on Runway. The L-39's used to spawn in their HAS's just fine but yesterday they spawned in on fire as per the OP. Editing the .miz's to spawn them on the parking ramp, in the open, sorted it. Of course that's not going to help on an MP server... Update bug shenanigans methinks ... Oh! and Hi Justin

Overscan Hi I just started using your Kneeboard Builder after seeing it on Bunyaps YT . It updated itself to ver 1.6.7.4 right after I installed it. It all appears to be working fine as it should ... except... When selecting "Kneeboard Settings" the window that opens is oversize. I don't know by how far. I don't know if there is anything below "Kneeboard Colors". I'm on Win7, screen res 1920 x 1080 This is what I see:

A couple of us are still getting this too. Mine manifests both as a stuttering over the current engine sound when my head is 90° either Left or Right. I also get a problem when looking straight ahead if my Manifold Pressure drops below 32". I get these problems on vanilla sounds and with sound mods installed. I've run repair to no avail. It appears to be mixing sound files according to various parameters but it's over sensitive on the head position and has completely lost it in regard to engine pressure. It's the same with or without TrackIR. Needs looking at. N.B. Audio Slider settings appear to have no effect.

I have TrIR commands moved to: Centre on a Joystick Button. Pause on Alt+ F9 Precision on Alt +F10 Keeps it all nicely out of the way of DCS. -
Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
Kozmyk replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Nice job. Worked for me on the Mi-8 I tried the same logic on the Huey... it almost worked but the co-pilot view was a bit to the right. I must have missed something. -

Have you checked out the note on Post#1 ? "Note for 1.5 openbeta users.txt" That VAICOM_fetch_data.cmd file has to have the right path to work. -

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
Kozmyk replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
JSGME Proper Neck toggle This is a great Mod but it doesn't work in my Mi-8. In my Mi-8 Seats 2 and 3 are thrown way back behind the cabin. Huey works fine though. EDIT Ermmm no it doesn't, copilot still not working ... I came up with this: I've rigged a separate install of JSGME up in the C:\Users\"My_Name"\Saved Games\DCS folder. It then plonks the two Proper Neck files into Config/View. Lets me use PN for most aircraft and pull it out easily for the Mi-8 or anything else that doesn't work with it. Had to be a separate JSGME install because my DCS installs are on another drive. Makes it very easy to switch Proper Neck on and off. Lets me use PN for most aircraft and pull it out easily for the Mi-8 or anything else that doesn't work with it. -
No MP Server List in 1.5 Release but there is in 2.0a
Kozmyk replied to Kozmyk's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
I could stand it no more. Uninstalled then reinstalled. MP Server List works once more :) Brute force prevailed ... this time ;) -
When I go to MP in 2.0a I see a list of available servers to choose from and I'm able to join. With my 1.5 Release Multiplayer there are no entries in the list and I cannot join a specific server via IP either. My Firewall is open to DCS but for some reason DCS 1.5 is not communicating with the Master Server. I don't know when this changed as I have been concentrating on SP module training recently Any ideas for a fix for this ?

VAICOM 2.0 for VoiceAttack

Well done that man  -
I use the Rudder Rocker on my old HOTAS X throttle for yaw control. I don't like Twist rudder either ;)

I came back to Eagle Dynamics products BECAUSE of the WW2 aspect. I'd had my LOMAC and FC#1 experiences many years ago and jets alone would not have had me spending money in their shop. I Do now enjoy the modern stuff once more with the added complexity that modern computing allows but I yearn for a thoroughly populated and mapped DCS WW2. Hopefully that won't be too far away .

Front line fighter of a major power vs export only plane. Not really equivalents are they ... The lack of the F-4 Phantom leaves a big hole where suitable rivals should otherwise be. The fact that the MiG-21bis didn't make it to Vietnam. Entered front line service with USSR 1972, makes it's matching against the F-5E even less appropriate. Don't get me wrong. I think the Freedom Fighter and it's variants are lovely looking aircraft. I'm looking for front line equivalency in a Combat Simulator.

I don't consider the F-5 to be a true counterpart of the MiG-21. Although F-5s were used in Vietnam, it was more as a showcase to potential customers, intended as they were for foreign sales. Proper Vietnam era counterparts would be the F-4, F-105, F-8, planes that had more than a passing acquaintance with the MiG-21.

VAICOM 2.0 for VoiceAttack
Kozmyk replied to Hollywood_315's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
As whartsell says it mostly works in 1.5.2/2.0a. I've not noticed any problems, except perhaps for a duplication in the \ Options dropdown list. Viacom doesn't appear to mind though. -
Except for Leatherneck's MiG-21bis which is still having problems with activations ... :music_whistling: Sorry, couldn't resist a gentle dig ... :gun_sniper:

HNY 2U2 I'd be happy to support your efforts. As someone (not a programmer) who never got past Conditional Statements in Voice Attack programming I really do appreciate someone else doing the hard bits ... ;) p.s. Looking forward to a VIACOM V2.0 MiG-15bis.vap :joystick:
