    Hydraulic System

Ok, the Hyd 1 has a subsystem, right? Which can be isolated in case of leaks so the aforementioned can be utilized. The EP keeps the Hyd 2 alive for flight controls and emergency breaks and landing gear in case of pressure below threshold. But what happens if Hyd 2 has a leak? The EP wont be able to keep up and you will lose flight controls. I know that wont happen, but how is it constructed?

    True and Magnetic

Mmmm no, true north is meridians north, we are trying to find out if dcs still sees true north as grid north which is wrong. Thats why my large post before. What is an inside cockpit map for you?

    True and Magnetic

Hi Esac, thanks for taking the time for this. However we were discussing grid vs true rather than magnetic dev. We need to know if the ruler extended through the ils in the map shows the same heading in order to determine if it follows meridians or cartesian grid lines (just vertical lines). First it would be tracing a vertical line and see what the ruler says. Then tracing a line through the ILS white arrow and see the reading. Then trace a line along a meridian near the airport you are testing and see the reading. Make sure its not the center UTM meridian every map has. Next, with the data you found out in your first time, we find how the map was projected and if it suffers the same error as the caucasus. Thanks so much

    Hydraulic System

If I read this, then the manual gets invalid and viceversa. There are 3 pumps, 1 and 2 for systems 1 and 2 and EP only for system 2. There is no such thing as subsystems. All of this is according to the manual. So I still dont understand anything from your post. As a pilot I depend very much on manuals to operate.

    Hydraulic System

Wow, nice pic! Why is our bird in dcs so different than that photo? And why do you have a switch with the same labels as the dual needles? Thanks

    Hydraulic System

Perhaps reading the thread next time is a good idea :) So now I can be flying with a lot of damage to the plane but all systems are perfectly good. Its so unrealistic. If thats not important for you in a simulation you are free to leave the thread. But for us real life pilots its a deal breaker.

    Hydraulic System

What? Are you saying that I've been flying nothing more than a game level module where no system can fail? Nice!!!

The needles do move, for instance if you put parking brake I love the Mirage, but it has the world record in bugs and things not working.

    True and Magnetic

Could someone check this? I dont have NTTR nor the money to get it. Its just placing the Mirage on any runway with ILS and see if the true heading matches the one that the mission editor has in the ILS white arrow.

    Hydraulic System

I still dont get your explanation though, sorry about that.

    Hydraulic System

Well, the switch is not working or its a bug

    Failures

Are failures implemented? I cant get them to work.

    Hydraulic System

Is it just a guess or based on documents? There is no such thing as ancillary (auxiliary?) and emerg brake subsystem, but there is an Emergency Pump which pumps fluid to the System 2 where the breaks and stuff are. So back to the original question, is that switch actually change the pumps measure?

    Hydraulic System

I see there is a dual needle pressure indicator for both systems, but there's also a system switch "for gauge display" according to the manual. What does that do exactly since there is already a dual indication?

    True and Magnetic

Wait! So the ruler in a straight line upwards shows 0°??? So the NTTR was modeled in the same wrong way as the Caucasus??? That's some bad news folks.
  16. Thanks Baltic!

    Engine Off In Flight

Hi cpt smiley!! Thanks so much to take this time and check this. We look fwd to see.

    True and Magnetic

No, the Mirage uses grid north when set to true. But this also raises the question of whether it does because the caucasus is wrong or because the Mirage was modeled with this issue. Pls check if it shows true North in NTTR and then we can find out.
  19. Ok, it doesbt work on 1.5.6. I used LGB all the time in 1.5.7 and now this. Bombs land in the exact same spot every time, so the jtac is alaways lasing offset to the target. Thanks for your replies.

    HSI ILS

And Ive never seen an ILS without DME. I have been flying for 13 years and never seen a single one. And I live in a 3rd world country! They are just not constructed without it, its embebed. As for the needle pointing to the ILS, no, it does not exist, it was my mistake.
  21. can anyone pls let me know if you can hit the target here? is a very simple mission of 2 minutes. WP2 is the target, JTAC lases the target but the LGB points to somewhere else. thanks everyone! m2000c LGB not working.miz
  22. Yes, I rolled back to 1.5.6 and they are two different games. One runs almost perfect, and the other one runs like I would have an Athlon 64.

    Engine Off In Flight

I dont think im gonna be able to in the next days, so if pls someone could do it would be nice.

    HSI ILS

As per the manual: Operational Modes The HSI has four operational modes: INS/VOR Navigation (NAV), TACAN/VOR Navigation (TAC), TACAN Offset Point/VOR Navigation (VAD) and Ground Controlled Interception (TEL).  NAV (main INS/VOR navigation mode): In this mode, the HSI connects with the INS and displays waypoint navigation information along with bearing to selected VOR/ILS station. This is the only mode that allows to select between true or magnetic headings, through its two sub modes: Right now, if the airport where Im landing is not a waypoint and has no TACAN or VOR then there is no way to get DME anywhere; nor in the HUD or the HSI. The thin needle should point to the ILS station and provide DME as all ILS do but all it does is stay there and do nothing. The thin needle flag if off so it should work.
  25. Yeah, came to the wrong post. sorry everyone
