  1. That's a good way to put it, yes! Except it needs to be pushed open.

Thank you, it's good to find this won't affect as many people as I had expected. Still, it did lead me to identify and fix a legitimate bug in the code! Thanks for that.

Rowan, I have identified the source of the problem, and it has been fixed internally. The issue was in the way the capacities of the oxygen storages are declared...it seems they aren't always declared properly. In this case, a DCS Repair will not help you. Please go straight to editing config.lua as stated above. I apologize for this bug, and thank you very much for your hasty report.
  4. Please report any bugs you find related to blacking out/hypoxia with the new ECS system. Thanks!

This is odd, Rowan. I have no problems when I run your trackfile on my updated OpenAlpha. It seems you are starting with no LOX? If your issue persists, you can disable the oxygen calculations: Navigate to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\FM\config.lua Scroll all the way to the bottom, and set disable_built_in_oxygen_system = true

Hey Rowan, Can you please give me some more details? Can you send a track file? This would be the hypoxia simulation, which happens when: A) The cockpit pressure is below about 25 kilopascals...is the canopy there, closed, and sealed? B) You've run out of liquid oxygen LOX (which is highly unlikely, as the 5L bottle can last up to 30 hours depending on altitude.) C) You've switched to your emergency supply, which will only last a few minutes depending on altitude, and have exhausted it without realizing it. You say the oxygen indicator stays at zero, do you mean the LOX meter, or the flashing oxygen flow indicator?
  7. You're mostly correct. The canopy is pneumatically assisted (not actuated, an important distinction), a cylinder behind the pilot holds it up until the valve is opened (pulling the lever back), which bleeds the cylinder and lowers the canopy.
  8. It's just lowering/raising the pilot's visor in the external model, guys...just something fun. We're toying with the idea of adding a filter to correspond in the 1st-person view, but it is not a priority.
  9. Our sympathy, apologies, and best wishes to Jim's loved ones from the RAZBAM team. Blooze is just one of those names we've heard/read for quite a long time, it is almost shocking to find that something has happened to him. It is a fair reminder to us all that everybody here is a human being, it can be easy to forget.
  10. Yes, this has been fixed
  11. Fixed (hopefully for real this time) ;)
  12. Quite odd, I am unable to reproduce. I'll keep looking!
  13. And I assume you're using the S-3B?
  14. Yup, this isn't an M-2000C bug, it is DCS.
  15. Sorry about that guys, my fault (a misunderstanding on my part). I've re-added these controls today along with some general controls cleanup and such :)
  16. No problem, the logic was corrected and I imagine there are plenty of confused people. Hopefully they will read this thread :)
  17. It's good to maintain realistic expectations. He said he couldn't understand, so I explained :) this goes for anybody: the M-2000C is still a beta release.
  18. It's almost like the Su-25T is an older, polished aircraft managed by Eagle Dynamics, and the M-2000C is an incomplete beta release by a third party...
  19. To clarifyz, Zeus means it's been fixed internally. You all will get it in the next patch.
  20. This will be implemented in due time, it is not currently a priority.
  21. It is unlikely that it will come in the update this Friday, but never say never. I hope I am wrong. The issue was with the initialization (or rather, uninitialized) char pointer for an RWR type. Basically we just needed to change the way it was initialized.
  22. Planning & initial setup has begun on the M-2000C parachute. It shouldn't be too far off.
  23. Please check other bug report threads before creating your own. We are getting a ton of duplicate reports that we are unable to police and clean up at the moment. In many cases, the bug which is being reported has been fixed, and is mentioned as being so in the existing thread. It can save us all some time! Please also check CptSmiley's pending update fix list as well. Thank you!
  24. The premise of this campaign is that there are American pilots flying the M-2000C. This is why their accents are American...because they're American pilots, guys. The French roles have been voiced by French people, and the American roles have been voiced by American people :)
  25. We've been doing a LOT of tweaks to ground handling, rudder authority, gear stiffness and strength, etc internally and are very happy with its current state. We'll be curious to hear some more once you all get to try it out.
