  1. well if anyone could enjoy the video im glad it's the devs who actually made the module haha, keep up the good work!
  2. ok well seeing as i made the damn video here's my two cents i really never thought it would be necessary to state this but i 100000% went into this knowing how crazy the concept is, i mean there's a REASON im using an ace combat livery. you guys really gotta cut razbam some slack because they obviously have more pressing and reasonable tweaks to attend to, it's not like this is a game breaking thing that everyone is going to try in multiplayer , it was just, if you could possibly imagine it, me having fun, nothing more than that, i did the maneuver for FUN, so that people could watch and have a good laugh, is it such an absolutely mind blowing concept that you can just goof off in a simulator sometimes?? is it realistic? of course not, but why should razbam go through the tedious task of fine tuning such a ridiculous thing, it has literally no serious application in the sim, the only way it could possibly be used is for just messing around, nobody could possibly go into a serious scenario with a top gun mindset of using this in a real dogfight, you will die, plain and simple, this is a big bomber that i modified to ignore my presence and just fly straight and brain dead and guess what, most of the time i tried this i ended up falling out of the sky at this point i might as well delete the video because what was supposed to be me just sharing a good laugh is turning into everyone tearing into each other. razbam has done an incredible job with the mirage and i have the utmost respect for their work, and the work of ANY of the third party devs who bust their asses to bring us these modules, let them focus on actually important FM tweaks that apply to simulated scenarios, this was not meant to be a simulated scenario, this would never have worked and at no point did i go into this with a serious mindset, nobody in their right mind is going to fly a simulated scenario with the FBW system off and if they try they find themselves in a crater 99.9% of the time like i did when i was doing this
  3. [ame=https://vimeo.com/177655683]here's the video[/ame] after about a half hour of messing around with the mirage which i now dearly love i was able out-hollywood hollywood itself with the coolest kill ive ever gotten in my years of playing dcs, :P track is available for download! whatshouldinamethismove.trk
  4. Thank! I'll probably write this down to help remember it haha
  5. I'm still trying to figure out how to properly operate the RPM handle in conjunction with the throttle, I generally keep them relatively in the same position but is there a better way? Should I have the RPM handle in a certain position for most operations? And where would the best place to keep it be for certain situations like dogfights? Would it be bad to just keep it full forward and only work the throttle? :helpsmilie:
  6. Oh, thank you! I might just mess around with this because it seems pretty cool :P
  7. The other day I was digging through some files for fun and I came across the betty for the Russian aircraft and found some files I had never heard before, such as "Launch authorized" and "Shoot, shoot", and, personally what I find to be coolest, warnings on a missile launch as well as its aspect (I.E. "Missile 3 o'clock high"). Is there anything I have to do to activate these, an option or specific scenario that I have to be in?
  8. i mean wouldn't they just have to record the names because of how the audio is structured? nothing is fixed everything such as callsigns and numbers and everything is stitched together depending on the current situation to form one sentence
  9. classic wolfpack all the way especially the helmet
  10. so is the saber a better turner? i notice that its sweetspot appears to be in the 400 knot range, however maintaining that is pretty challenging. what's the best way to counter the mig's greater climbing advantage? for example when i play in the mig i always loiter high above the sabre, using my superior thrust and energy to always maintain the high ground, while in the sabre what would be the best thing to do while being circled overhead and pounced on? i feel like the sabre would have an advantage in turning especially with the g-suit but i could be wrong
  11. how did you make it without the PSD files??

    ECM help request

so the mirage has plopped itself up their as my new favorite module, but there is a severe lack of depth in terms of avionics. the manual isn't very helpful at all, most of the time it just names buttons and switches with no explanation at all (i understand they tried to get it out as soon as possible so i can understand) but anyways to the meat of the topic, i heard jamming was one of the mirage's strongest advantages, which is very welcome considering the very limited AtA ordinance and their even more limited range, however i wish i could have some explanation as to how i can operate the jammer to its fullest potential. not only is the manual vague about it, it is inconstant, saying that the dial on the right of the ECM panel is a countermeasure mode selector, while the ingame tooltip says it determine jamming strength. also there are two modes for the jammer, you can either move the switch to the middle position or full forward, what differences do these present? the most ideal thing would be an in depth rundown of the entire ECM panel but these are my main questions for now, and again a huge thanks to razbam for this wonderful christmas gift
  13. you guys are the best! i cant wait to see what else you bring to dcs :)
  14. i was just wondering because im trying to clear space in my HDD and having 70+ gb worth of two DCS worlds isn't making things very easy :helpsmilie:
  15. does anyone know the mirage's corner speed(s)?
  16. so in 1.2 and now in 1.5 whenever i try to view a track it seems that what happened in reality is different in the track, for example if i take off and land and then go to watch the track, it might show that i crashed on takeoff or landing. it's almost as if it's reading my inputs but how they translate over to what happens in the track is wrong, because i can recognize movements and actions in the track, but the outcome is different. for example if im in the 109 i can see that i increase my throttle on a takeoff run but instead of taking off like i did in reality, the track will show that i just flipped off the runway and blew up. it also seems that speeding up or slowing down time changes it even more drastically. :helpsmilie:
  17. the ZA will be free to those who bought the C correct?
  18. i think a high speed interceptor like the foxbat would be amazing, maybe even...... an SR-71.......
  19. now i haven't spent much time with the mission editor so this could very well be user error, but whenever i spawn hostile AI aircraft they just don't take any aggressive action against me unless i spawn myself literally right in front of them. i've tried setting commands for them to respond to my presence but whenever i start the mission with me behind them they just ignore me and fly straight and level, if i attack them they just book it with their tail between their legs. i've tried going against 5 advanced AI Su-33s in an F-15 and picked them all off one by one, i feel like they didn't even try and get on my tail and instead just scattered everywhere while a couple tried to abandon the fight completely, is this a bug or am i just not looking into this enough? it would be nice to find a solution because it can get boring trying to pick a fight with an aerial punching bag :P
  20. guys please F-14 + topgun soundtrack has been done to DEATH there's so much more potential out there like what about fire youngman from the ace combat 2 soundtrack?? also this e (yes the video is cheesy but the song is fantastic) is very fitting in my humble opinion at least that's just my two cents, but please for the love of all things holy can we move out of this danger zone tomcat phase that's been going on for the past 20 years
  21. the fishbed is one of my favorite modules and i love practically everything about it except for the key commands. i feel like people like myself who can't stand the thrustmaster target software would very much appreciate having more toggle commands, not to mention it would probably help organize them a lot better. it's just a big pain having to bind two separate switches for something like the landing gear lock or switching the radar to fixed beam, which honestly takes away almost half of what the joystick has to offer in terms of switches, plus it's - a hassle to originize the switches in the correct position all the time. i know it's probably something that won't be changed but i really hope this could be taken in consideration for future models, especially the F-14 which will have way more commands than the fishbed
  22. is the track clip pro honestly worth the 30 dollars? is there a difference with the two? my biggest problem with trackir is when the clip exits the tracking field, does the track clip pro help with that? im also reluctant considering the fact that i've lost count of all the times i've heard "my track clip pro broke" :P
  23. well alright then, thanks for your help guys
  24. i seriously need to send it back? there isn't any way to open up that little button housing thing?
