  1. DCS recognised my X-52's long/short presses correctly - there just aren't enough switches etc to configure 1:1 with the A10c HOTAS in DCS.
  2. thanks guys, these steps didn't fix it but I have now solved it. It was something to do with monitor/display setup because when I hovered over the mouse over the far right of the display (outside the cockpit), it flags up the APU fire T handle. Looks like the cursor was out-of-sync with the display. Disabled full screen (which I didn't know I'd enabled), it's sorted and got me a clean controller install to boot!
  3. Thanks Razorback; I'll try that. I have changed joysticks about three times since I did the install, so would be good to revert anyway. I've got no other mods installed and all input devices so far has been plug & play - joystick, throttle, pedals and trackir.
  4. I have a yellow mouse cursor (cross). double clicking the scrollwheel makes it mouse look. Double-clicking again turns it back to a cursor; but can't left or right-click on anything, even the pause menu options!
  5. Guys, think I may have changed a default or deleted a mouse assignment? Once I'm in cockpit, I can't click on anything - even the 'fly' button on the briefing or the menu options in the pause window. The cursor moves over the screen, but doesn't let me click anything, left or right buttons. It was working fine yesterday; all I think I changed was putting a zoom axis on my Warthog Slider. Tried two mice, and they both work fine in the DCS menu and in windows, but not once I'm in the cockpit.
  6. Like it; I've been thinking about an unsprung base for my warthog, but was stuck on how I could build a robust gimbal without ferrous metals screwing up any magnetic effect, and how I could provide some kind of damping so there's some resistance without springs. I will follow this thread with interest!
  7. I think you need to do the mission from LH seat and it won't progress if you don't hit M anyway, but the RH sight can be bought down and lit with RALT +M and RSHIFT + M or something like that. Try on the ground before you get airborne.
  8. I had an X52 pro for many years; after returning an X-52 std because one of the hat switches didn't work. I wouldn't hesitate to get another Saitek stick, but have a Warthog now. Sold my X52 for a reasonable price, even though I'd removed the throttle detents.
  9. Glad you had a good experience; I didn't:mad:
  10. Awesome!
  11. Rudder pedals AND a good stick. Twist rudder is useless because there's always interaction with the roll/pitch. I thought I flew OK, until I replaced my X52pro with a CH Fighterstick - suddenly a massive improvement in my hovering stability!
  12. Just sold my X52pro. Will have a CH fighterstick for sale when my Warthog is fixed.
  13. Maybe your wifi? I had a lot of trouble with glitching playing Zombie gunship on my ipad via Apple TV, until I moved my Wifi router to a better location.
  14. Are there any other alternative bases for the Warthog stick, apart from the Real simulator FSSB R3 or have others modded their own? The stock Warthog stick base seems to be the weak link of the whole setup but I don't want a force stick, especially for €450 I'm thinking about setting something up with a gimbal joint and using dampers rather than springs to give a non-centering stick.
  15. Mine has suffered a simliar fate, but is still under warranty. Awaiting their response, but they have indicated parts aren't available.
  16. Maybe, but the design for fixing the grip onto the base relies on the same twisting force to secure it. If you're holding the base rather than the grip, it may have the same effect.
  17. Got a window or lightsource nearby? Mine gets spooked by daylight from a window to the left in my office/pit reflecting off my clip - I just close the curtains. Easy way to tell is to shade your clip with your hand.
  18. I'm currently running 14.4, but the updater says 14.9 is the latest available to download (for Radeon R7 250).
  19. Do the X55 throttle/stick have separate USB connectors, or are they linked and use a common USB like the X52?
  20. So following tjhowse's guide here, I dived in, and found that the inner ball has broken up, and the magnet had come away from stick base and was stuck to the hall sensor. I guess it's the inner ball that prevents twist.
  21. Dismantling Warthog Joystick base Is there a step by step guide to dismantling the warthog? Lots of photo's in this thread, but nothing seems to describe the sequence.
  22. It was cheap, but not that cheap! I'm waiting for the seller to respond........
  23. Thanks for the replies; no the grip is properly fitted, it's the gimbal that is twisting in the base.
