  1. I didnt have any problems in 2d, only in VR.
  2. I noticed the FPS degrades over time, sometimes to the point is turns into slideshow. I have oculus rift S and good machine. I don’t have this with any all other modules, only with Apache. Tried to replicate without VR but then the Apache runs as smooth as silk
  3. I figured it out. The VR handgrips were set to “handgrips can controll Flight stick” in the options menu.
  4. For some reason i cannot move the stick when inside the Pilots position preventing me from manouvering the aircraft. Rudder works fine. Only when i enter external view the joystick reacts. Checked my Joystick in Joy.cpl and was all configured as well as perfecly centered, Checked in DCS and joystick is also centered and perfectly configured. What gives? I assume is some sort of bug, but its completly broke my Apache module.
  5. To whoever composed the last couple of soundtracks/menu music, and in particular the Apache & F-16 model, i gotto say that the music is really good. Especially for soundtrack for the Apache exactly captured the masculinity, deadlyness & highly spectrum action that the AH-64 lives & breathes. I allways listen on 100 % in my headphones when starting up DCS. Well done me lads
  6. Given the fact that we have no training scenario for Hellfire employment yet i had the same problem with Hellfires missing the lased target. But i had figured it out, when you launch the Hellfire the lase is dumped because of it and you must reengage the Laser range finder/laser marker. For best results is Best to keep target lased after launch for the hellfire to zero in on bringing some serious hurtin.
  7. I dare say the first days of this module possibly allready acceded the Total flying hours I logged with Janes Apache longbow back in the days But this module and a decent apache Sim has been so long overdue that I played for 26 hours without sleep lol. This module totally got my weekend upside down, and after some rest, food & beer i show no signs of calling it a day anytime soon. Untill offcourse I must start work again Mondays. Personally i think what makes this module so even more awesome, and it is in itself a true digital masterpiece, is the VR aspect. Man i was working on a my custom made awesome realistic NTTR live fire range for the Apache today? And flying low over the desert sand to the range in the early morning on the NTTR map? And I was like, wtf, im seriously having a hard time distinguishing VR from reality as I could have sworn for a second there I was flying a real Apache over the Nevada Desert.
  8. Hey what’s up gents! Hey ever since i got my hands on the Apache there have been some weird issues with the controls or Flight model. Offcourse stuff like that is to be expected in an early release title, but is kind of a hassle that I just can’t seem to avoid struggling with from time to time. But here is what the problem is. The Apache often seems totally out of trim, often resulting in some dangerous close calls or even crash & burns as a result of it. For starters there is allways, and I say allways a massive jank & The tendancy for the Apache to pitch nose up, not surprising it is slightly less when in lower tork values, but nonetheless i still have to maintain a permanent push down on the cyclic in order to counter balance it in order to prevent a angel sick half loop that more then usually results in eating the dust. I doubt that the real Apache has this dangerous characteristic. But to rule out all possibilities that can cause this I double checked my stick calibration in DCS & windows, perfectly centered. It seems to me it’s a trim issue or bad trim or something that causes this, but for the love of god there is no way to properly trim the Apache it seems. It turns out the force trim commands don’t do anything at all. What gives?
  9. Wtf?? I played the Apache module approximately for about 26 hours straight lol. Came back from work Thursday couldn’t play it because the syria map update & my SSD couldn’t handle a 63 GB update. So removed the map and waited for 2 hours to the Apache module to finish downloading. (Managed to install Syria map after luckily) But by that time I had to hit the sack to get through the workday on friday But then when i got home friday and really got my hands on the Apache I’ve been playing for 26 hours non-stop or so. Its highly addictive & one of the best modules and most badass weapons platform in DCS history. I think i may have broken a new world record lol.
  10. I wouldnt be so sure about it since good old George crashed me into the dust on more then one occasion when i told him to lower to about 500 feet. But for some reason Georgyboy felt like going all the way...
  11. Found this awesome mission generator for heli ops specifically to get started with the Apache module. https://www.helisimmer.com/news/take-a-look-rotorops-dcs-mission-generator?fbclid=IwAR0qAHQ52bKs561hToNlsZRTCx_hpxZzicyLviI6AEcXZRy71VXBPvfF9yY
  12. That being said, what are the training ranged for life fire exercises on the NTTR map?
  13. + 1
  14. Im thinking of making some training missions for the Apache on the Nevada NTTR map. But I’d like to know where are Apaches based here? On Nellis? Also what free fire ranges are used which I can use in the DCS Nevada map?
  15. While we wait till we can take the stick in DCS ourselves, check out this awesome close up HD footage of The Royal Netherlands Airforce AH-64,s performing a "Brown Out Landing" Here is more hardcore Apache porn

  16. So uhm, i woke up this morning with a craving for the Apache module like a heroin junky strung out & in need of a fix, which was offcourse amplified by the lack of a decent Apache Sim, of which there were practically zero since the days of Janes Longbow & Digital Integration,s Apache Longbow. The wait has been over 2 decades, so now the last 2 weeks are excruciating…..
  17. Two weeks for sure, maybe next week. Release this week is allready confirmed to be not happening sorry…
  18. You mean the quick start guide? If not please where can I find the manual..
  19. I’d say 3 weeks is more realistic. So March 31st at best
  20. What is all this talk about “eminent release” I haven’t seen any indication that release is “eminent” Wags videos haven’t even completed to the cold start video. Looking at the rate Wags releases videos being about one or two a week now, I’d say we are about 2 to 3 weeks before release of the Apache…
  21. That being said, just imagine the next level immersion in VR.
  22. There goes the neighborhood
  23. My bet is on Steams December 1st date simply because it needs to be
  24. I came out of the “woodwork” long ago with Janes Longbow & digital integrations Apache Longbow… Apart from the B-17 & B-52 that id love to see flyable in a in depth sim (hopes are high for Microprose’s B-17III currently in development) the Apache ranks right up there. And it’s been long overdue for a Apache sim. And what better then one in DCS can we expect?
  25. The only module I can think of is the Huey & Hind. I don’t have those so can’t say anything about if they are functional in other modules.
