I can't wait to get home and try the Dora out for myself but for those you who already have, what is your opinion of player vs player in the Mustang vs Dora? It the FW 190 by far the superior aircraft or is it a fair fight?
-
Good for you, I already have a job though thanks. I simply offered to help and you decided to chime in about me being unqualified to write English. Do us a favour and take your trolling somewhere else.
-
Fixed in 1.2.10?
-
EDGE? lol, jk.
-
We just love to point out errors!
-
Stick to Latin, you're still the best at that.
-
You're right Flagram. Reading and found are not the same tense. Our resident grammar expert had been dethroned by a foreigner no less! What was that about stones and glass houses?
-
"I am reading a book, and have found something which puzzles me" is correct grammar, as it is all written in the same tense. Actually, it isn't. Found is the past participle of find. "I am reading a book, and I am finding something which puzzles me" is all written the the same tense, but you wouldn't say that would you? Nice use of an Oxford comma there too. Some people would argue that was incorrect grammar.

Pedantic - adjective excessively concerned with minor details or rules; overscrupulous. "I am reading through the product page is grammatically incorrect too, because you were actually typing in the forum" If you're not a pedant, you're at least a bad comedian...
-
The issue here Neil, is that you're being pedantic. I'm not saying that the product page needs to be in the Queens English, just tweaked slightly to read less like a google translation. Nobody here doubts your superior grasp of the English language, but that doesn't mean that statements like "I don't need to rely on you, or anyone to establish a reputation here. Your views are irrelevant" don't still make you look like a douchebag.

The Sabre seems pretty response to me at altitude. Quite pleased with how she handles. With less air to bite into up there it's difficult to put on the G's without the wing exceeding the critical angle of attack.
-
Airframe stress damage is not modeled yet. I'm sure we'll be able to rip the wings off eventually! It looks like less than a foot of movement to me anyway. In fact it took me a while to spot at all so I wouldn't say the effect is particularly overdone.

*Shhhhhh!* :no_sad: I like my climb angle scale!
-
Try and do something nice and that's the thanks you get! Just trying to help guys.

I wish I had access to more videos/documents but unfortunately, short of actually jumping into a real F-86F and playing around with the nosewheel steering I can't conclusively prove anything. At the end of the day, when it comes to flight dynamics and ground handling all we can do is take a best guess and hope the guys at Belsimtek got the maths right. Thanks for reporting the issue though.
-
Yes, I noticed this as well. There seems to be an issue with the nosewheel 'jumping' back to the previous position it was in when the NWS button was last held, instead of it 'activating' when the button is depressed and the rudder pedals are aligned with the nosewheel's current position.

I would not expect ANY aircraft to have a 1-2 second delay between a control input and response. Also, hydraulic systems are usually very responsive. Look at the other control surfaces and air brakes for example. There is no perceptible delay between input and response. This is definitely an issue, please acknowledge it.
-
At 7:37 in the video you make a sharp right turn, evidenced by the controller window. There s a good 1-2 second delay between your input and the aircraft beginning to turn. This is the lack of responsiveness I am talking about. It is much greater than any other aircraft in DCS.
-
There is a perceptible sluggishness to the F-86's NWS in sim that is not present with with any other aircraft. Try making some faster, snaking turns and you can FEEL it.
-
Try this: - Begin to taxi forward - Hold NWS button - Apply full left rudder - Release NWS button - Wait for aircraft to straighten out - Apply full right rudder - Hold NWS button The aircraft will swerve left again BEFORE beginning to turn right. Very strange behaviour.

I am reading through the product page on the DCS website and noticed lots of grammatical errors. As a native English speaker, it seems to be written by someone for whom English is a second language. I would be happy to go through and correct it as a favour to Belsimtek. Due to the quality of the product I feel the product page should be of the same high standard! This is not intended to be an insult to whoever wrote the product page. It is simply an issue of word order. For example: "The sign of upcoming stall may be developing" should be "The sign that a stall may be about to develop". Please let me know if you require any assistance in this matter.
-
Yeah, this is an awesome effect and absolutely not a bug! It also happens on both wings and at altitude. It seems more common lower down where the air is thicker though. Fantastic transonic flight modelling!

Brilliant! ED fixed my $1-$19 reward overnight after I opened a support ticket. Got myself a shiny new FW 190 key now. Thanks for the help and communication SiThSpAwN and thanks to ED for resolving my backer woes.
-
Already opened a ticket. They just sent me another link to the backers page *sigh*
-
I'm in the $1-$19 backers group discussed here as well: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2115814&postcount=2 The problem is my only reward on the new backers page is listed as "Bronze Backer credit in manuals" like the post above. No mention of any P-51D or FW 190 D-9 in sight. I did not receive a P-51 key from RRG either (not that I mind, I already bought it and want the FW 190 instead).
