  1. First mission was really challenging but totally fine once you cranked the gamma, looked good too. Gave me a completely new appreciation for the flying these guys did, "Parish lantern" or not, no idea how they pulled off what they did. Just finished the 3rd mission, very challenging as well but really rewarding. Fantastic work Reflected.
  2. Happened to me as well as soon as I dropped my payload on the guys near the bridge. Next time I flew the mission it was fine - no changes on my part. I did notice that when the flight lead turns to engage the ground troops at his 3 o'clock, numbers 3 & 4 go a bit squirrely and turn left instead, they do however show up a bit later just before the bounce.
  3. I'm having the same problem but with BVR practice against an ace Su-33, Once we've both launched the ai pulls inverted and dives to defend but at the end of its dive it reverses and instead of pulling out of the dive it lawn darts into the ground. Tough to get any practice in when gravity is stealing all my kills
  4. Running into the same bug. Thanks for the update Reflected, I tried your method of solving it but couldn't get it to work, I probably deleted the wrong truck or something. I'll wait patiently for the update, maybe crank out a bit of Zone 5 in the meantime. Speed & Angels is great by the way, I can't begin to tell you how educational it's been, it's not only changed how I fly (and think about flying) the F-14 but it's improved my flying as a whole, regardless of aircraft. Would recommend it to anyone.
  5. Thanks for the reply, sorry to hear it's haunting your other campaigns as well. I'll keep my eye's peeled for an update.
  6. Hey Reflected, I'm running into an issue with the second mission where I taxi behind my flight lead and we queue up on the taxiway but no one takes off. All of the other spits that have yet to take off taxi up behind my flight (gotta be close to 20) and they just sit there as my flight blocks them. I tried advancing time, waiting, etc. No joy. Also tried to fly this mission a number of times and have run into the same pattern of behaviour from the ai each time. Might be something worth taking a peek at (unless I'm being an idiot and missing something obvious) but could be an ai issue caused by the latest update. Keep up the great work by the way, love your campaigns.
  7. Having the same problem, hope ED fixes this sooner than later, would assume it's fairly high priority.
  8. Sounds like you're missing a few items. The TF-51D is a free aircraft, you'll still need to buy campaigns and flyable aircraft, here's a list: Campaigns: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/p-51d_tbnob/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/spitfire_the_big_show/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/p-51d_charnwood_campaign/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/spitfire_operation_epsom_campaign/ Aircraft: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/dcs_p51d_mustang/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/spitfire/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/kurfurst/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/dora/
  9. Does anyone know if this is planned to be fixed in tomorrow's update?
  10. Looks like a cool get, inexpensive too! This got me on a bit of a goose chase hunting for a comprehensive encyclopedia that covers every type of aircraft flown in WWII. Does something like this exist? Anyone know of a one stop, go to book that covers it all from a technical viewpoint? If you do please let us know. Thanks guys and thanks for the info on the Spit manual ;)
  11. Seems like a quick restart of DCS solves this. At least it did for me, happens on and off randomly.
  12. No sweat, thanks for the update NineLine
  13. Haven't had time to check but has the fuel bug in the P-51 been fixed with latest beta update? It's not in the notes.
  14. I'd recommend the Hornet, Baltic Dragon's campaign for the M-2000 is excellent but you'll end up spending twice the campaign length just perfecting your carrier landings in the Hornet alone. Lot to digest with the F/A-18, more than enough to hold you over until a campaign launches.
  15. F/A-18 But after March that will change to the F-14B
  16. I just don't understand what happened, the OG canopy glass looked great, why they replaced it with baked on textures that broke it altogether is beyond me. Hoping they fix it soon as I'm eager to jump into Reflected's Big Show campaign but I'm holding off pulling the trigger on it until this gets sorted.
  17. Anyone figure out how to get rid of the map yet? I swear I did it once by just mashing the buttons but I can't seem to replicate it. EDIT: All good, I just set the left ddi to hsi and set the mpcd to checklist
  18. 1) How is the damage model for WWII aircraft coming along? When do you expect we'll get to see it in game? 2) Will we see WWII aircraft included in your next batch of Flaming Cliffs style (non-clickable cockpit) aircraft?
  19. While I agree with you, I was commenting more with the thought of the less computer savvy among us. Don't forget about the time spent troubleshooting before jumping to the forums and hunting for the correct info here aaaaand then trying to figure out the whole terminal thing. It wasn't a big deal on my end and shouldn't be for many of us but I'm sure there are people out there still trying to figure the whole thing out as we speak. Either way, not the end of the world for most of us. Mine's running fine now and doing an excellent job of waving its arms while jumping up and down, yelling "it's time for a new PC!"
  20. Wow... I know it's alpha and everything but needing to open a terminal window in order to install/update the terrain pack is beyond unacceptable.
  21. Hey Phil, if you do make that vid, maybe include some footage from CloD so people can see the comparisons between the spins you're describing. Looking forward to watching your take on all of it!
  22. That's ok, just hover your mouse over the brake handle and use the scroll wheel to set it at around 15%, it will stay there so you don't need to worry about mapping or holding it down. Not sure if we're allowed to link vids here but this one by PhilStyle explains what I'm talking about, changed my landings in a huge way. Let us know how it works out for you!
  23. I didn't mean to insinuate that clouds and weather are on par with tarmac as far as development goes, I fully understand that it's an entirely different nightmare and super difficult. I only wanted to demonstrate that different game genre's hang their hats on different terrain according to where the player spends the majority of their time.
  24. I 100% understand that clouds and weather are difficult to simulate in a digital environment but I'm still surprised at how not great the weather/clouds are in pretty much every flight sim on the market. Crappy looking tarmac in a racing game or ugly water in a naval sim are no bueno because those genres live in those spaces. Clouds and weather should theoretically be a hallmark of flight sims and something that flight sims specifically do better than any other genre out there, both from an aesthetic and a gameplay/strategic perspective.
