No, they shoot them down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL9_Tldmrhs

Tbf, if the enemy plane has a laser that can shoot down missiles... I don't think I want my plane getting near it.

I believe so

Leatherneck Simulations Mini-Update - SEPTEMBER 2015

Keep it up! Can't wait to hear what this "larger project" is. -
I think what discredited him the most was Aurora

Which aircraft are you most interested in?
Bullfrog_ replied to Griffin's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I'd love to have a night fighter. -
I haven't seen any hints on the Viggen from LNS, maybe I just missed it but I thought it was just a community theory. Even if LNS did hint at it, they've hinted at a lot of things. Unless they announce it, it's up in the air IMO. Anyway, I don't see why the F6F-5N or F4U-4N would be drastically different than the standard model, outside of having radar and slight performance differences... Personally I would love it over another WW2 plane that is really just a 'standard' WW2 plane... I've feel like I've played that game all ready. And it didn't take me long to find information on the F6F-5N or it's radar and I'm not even trying to develop it. tbh, it not anymore crazy/odd ball than the Viggen in my opinion. Specially when the F6F-5N production numbers are comparable to WW2 planes all ready in game. also, who said it can't be both ;)
-
I wonder if the F6F-5N qualifies. AN/APS-6 could detect land/sea as well as ships. Same with the F4U-4N.
-
One of the planes supposedly has air to ground radar right?
-
I'd love to have the PBY Catalina

P-47D-** Top speed without wing Pylons?
Bullfrog_ replied to DSR_T-800's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
That's all it says. I've seen 45-50 a few times but never the throttle settings for it -
P-47D-** Top speed without wing Pylons?
Bullfrog_ replied to DSR_T-800's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
It depends on which pylons, the initial under wing pylons that came with the D-15 cut 45mph off the top speed, the later more stream line ones cut 15mph off the top speed. I believe these came with the D-20 According to http://www.aerofiles.com/JBrepub-p47dg.html In my book American Hundred Thousand, they quote "My P-47D-16 was exactly 50mph slower with the same throttle setting due to the monstrosities(wing pylons) they used on it" I didn't see anything about the more stream line pylons in the book, though I may have just missed it. -
I agree, a single module is nice and all.. there's some real merit to just wanting to fly a plane, I will be getting the F4F for that reason alone. But I'm not going to buy every module just to fly it. I don't see myself getting the F4F and F4U, I see myself getting the F4F or the F4U. If there's period correct opponents/allies and theaters then that changes everything. The 'replay ability' goes threw the roof, more content, more scenarios. If there's structure, then I do see myself getting what ever fits the period/theater. Specially with it being early/mid war planes whether than end war overclocked aircraft. When it's all said and done, I do hope we see less WW2 aircraft and trainers and more cold war aircraft though.
-
I agree, personally I prefer modern aircraft. But there are planes that simply don't have any structure to them. It's all ready there with modern aircraft, even with the MiG-21... it fits right in with the F-15, F-14, MiG-29 and the Mirage 2000 and A-7 are coming from Razbam. The P-40F and F-4F have what though, over clocked 1945 Germans to fight? I'd think it would be better if they got an opponent.
-
I believe RAZBAM has announced that the A7 is coming after their Mirage
-
I hope it's a early Axis, ideally Japanese aircraft, Ki-43 or A6M. I'd love to have the Hellcat or Corsair, but more so I'd whether have something to fight against with the upcoming P-40F and F4F. If it is the F4U, I hope it has the bird cage canopy. The other canopy has that metal visor thing right above your head.. horrible for rearward visibility, specially in a climb.
-
Surprise that he's still making videos.
-
That's to bad, for a second I had hopes for a potential north Africa setting with the P-40F, Spit V and maybe some day.. a 109F/190A
-
I just noticed the title mentions the Mk.V as well. I thought we were only getting the MK. IX?
-
It does, and if your going to ask for something... it's better to avoid it.

If the F-16 and f/a-18 had a baby.

I'd love to see the F/A-50 and Scorpion fly together in a low cost hi/lo kind of thing. -
I agree. I would of loved a flight sim that modeled work horses in their average configuration, but it seems everyone and their mother has to tune their planes to the best possible settings. I would of bought a 109G6 in a heart beat, but I struggle to bring my self to be interested in buying the k4.

The F-35 has Chines instead of LERX.

Rather see the F6F-5 personally.
