I just got word from Amazon.com that the Black Shark release date has been moved from March 20th to April 7th. That is the information they got from their distributor. Yes - please convert and post. I'm waiting for the boxed version but am collected all the user made mission that are being post for future fun.

This was given by Matt in reply to my question as to whether the patch would be incorporated into the boxed version back in January: We hope to release the 1.01 Black Shark patch in March but it will not be ready in time to integrate into the international DVD version. __________________ Matt Wagner Producer, TFC/Eagle Dynamics

There will be a bunch in the first patch that comes out about the end of February or maybe by the end of March. You can also look at http://www.lockonfiles.com where some are for ModMan and other require manual entry.

I am getting ready for Black Shark - yes I may be one of the few waiting for the boxed version but hey! I already have ModMan 6.3.0.1 that I am using with LOFC. Do I have to unload all the various files before I upgrade to the most current version? Has anyone had success without unloading their previous files? For point of reference I am running XP not Vista. Whenever I enter ModMan for LOFC it asks if I would like to upgrade abd I am not sure what it will do if I say yes. :doh: Thanks!

I'm holding out for the boxed version but I have downloaded your mission as well as many of the others in great anticipation of this sim. Your idea and mission should be very helpful for training target regcognition. Thanks!

The v1.01 patch came up in the mods area as ED is asking people for various country skins to be included in the patch once they have been approved. Check the threat in the mods section for more info. Thanks for the response Matt.

Will the English boxed version of BS include the v1.01 patch or will it be the basic download version only? :smilewink:

I have downloaded several of the user modifications but they were all NON-ModMan ready. Have any been reworked so that they can be used with ModMan 7.00.1? This was suce a handy program for LOMAC and FC. Thanks! :thumbup:

Matt, please post Producer's Note #10 on the DCS video site. I have all the others in hi-rez and would like to download this one. They all make for great reference material. :pilotfly:

Check the threat new KA-50 Skins. I believe Mitch shows you what to do to get his new skins into the sim and I'm sure you should be able to figure how to add yours too!

Waggs - are any of the items going into the patch going to be incorperated into the boxed version since it hasn't gone gold yet? Also, any idea yet on the USA cost of the boxed product?

Yep - I was just funnin'! I forgot that on this forum "two weeks" is equilivent to "when it is ready". ED just take your time and get it right like it sounds like the Russian version is - no crashes. I could buy the Russian version but I can wait another few months for the English version, especially if the demo comes out later this month (hopin' & wishin')

Okay so the title says it all. I was just courious how close us poor English simmers are away from getting at least the promised demo of Black Shark? :pilotfly: Any ED person willing to take a stand? :joystick:

Thanks for the inputs! I shall take them all into consideration. I was concerned when I read a review over on Newegg when the guys new graphics card wouldn't work with his WinXP system. But it may well have been the cpu, not the graphics card. He put it into a different machine that had Vista and it worked fine. Again the main thought here is "a different cpu".

I guss that is what comes of all the "two weeks" waiting! LOL! Great job - now only if I could get it and play it - the English boxed version that is!

I currently have a GeForce 7900 GS 256 MB video card but am thinking about upgrading in lieu of Black Shark. I am running Win XP and have no desire to move to Vista. I've noticed that the current Nvidia 512MB - 1 GB video cards are made for DirectX 10.0 and also state Vista in the specifications. Does that mean that they will not play on a Win XP DirectX 9.0c machine? Any recomendations? Thanks!
