Will the Nevada also include the addition to the ME of camo colored vehicles, etc.?

Nevada Terrain Questions Two questions comcerning the upcoming Nevada terrain which is in work. 1). Can the same download be used for DCS A-10C and DCS Black Shark 2? 2). Will there be a ME addition with desert camo vehicles, objects, etc.? Question 2 was never answered in the Nevada Update thread.
-
Just uploaded a single player mission for Black Shark 2. There are two versions: ramp start and runway start. This mission should give you practice coordinating with your wingman and using the data link if you choose. It's fairly basic. Unpack the missions from the RAR format. Recon the town of Aosyrhva for insurgent activity and shold you find any your orders are to engage and destroy. Have fun with it!

There appear to be several missing items either in the simulation which are in the encyclopedia or in the enyclopedia but not avalilble in the mission editer. For example: Ships: How did I get the Ticonderoga out of the encyclopedia and into the selection list for USA ships (or any other country) it isn't there? Objects: Where are the two type of infrantry in the encyclopedia? This is true for both Black Shark & 2, plus Warthog. Has anyone checked the mission editor list against the encyclopedia items and visa-versa? :helpsmilie:

I moved my JTAC as Nate suggested but I also used 30 and 45 minutes and the problem (JTAC) dismissing me after the first attack has not reoccured. I'm beginning to think it must have been using only 5 minutes play time. Although with the old JTAC position, I did get a couple of aborts but that was also when JTAC told me it was Type 1 rather than the normal Type 2 attack.
-
Nate.................you hit the JTAC???? I haven't done that..it makes me feel much better about my skills! LOL! I trust you were using all sensors to targt???? Thanks for your help, I'll post if the problem went away after I move Warrior 1. Oh one other comment, it may have happened because I told JTAC I only had 15 miutes of play time. Does the program actually look at that to make target assignment decisions? I may have used up my 15 minutes taking out the first target and repositioning???
-
Nate, did you run through the mission a second time, that is when it appears that the JTAC will only offer up the first target, or it did for me, twice. I'll mod the position of the JTAC and see if that solves what I was seeing. Is there a maximum or minimum distance associated with the ground JTAC? I may be wrong with what I said about the number "1" defulting as I was looking at the advanced waypoint-edit sub side box number which I thought needed to be advanced with each command which is what I set but then upon reviewing each advanced waypoint command in "edit" it had reset back to "1"..
-
Nate, I just rechecked and without even flying the mission just opening it again in the ME appears to make all advanced tasks default to "1". When you look at the EDIT of each line. You may have to change the suffix to .miz if it doesn't download correctly. I just reset the advanced tasks to 1-9 and saved the mission. http://www.4shared.com/file/hR4IQOK9/SB_JTAC_Live_Range.html

Nate, I just uploaded the mission to the user files. The first time through all seems to go well. After that it seems JTAC only tasks you with the first target. As I said when going back into the ME all advanced waypoint data seems to have defaulted to "1". I wans't sure which forum to use for this as I am not sure it is a bug or my ME programming.
-
I set up a mission with multiple JTAC tasking, i.e. multiple targets. When setting up the advanced data, the tasks are in numerical sequence order, 1-9. After flying the mission and going back into the ME I've noticed that all advanced tasks now ALL bear the sequesce number 1 and when flying it again, only the first task is accomplished then JTAC tells me "No further tasking" and releases me. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

My rudder pedals sit about 15 inches from the wall under my computer desk. I made two two wood braces that fit between the wall and the pedals. That stops any movement forward when pressing either the brakes or rudder. Think about something like that.
-
The thing that hasn't been mentioned is that since the rudder pedals also control the nose wheel steering when turned on, and uneven pressure will cause nose wheel deflection and then engaged, the nose wheel is very sensitive causing you to vear off one way or the other.

EXACTLY! SO NOW ITS SAID..PLEASE PIPE IT, CAN IT, ZIP IT, LAZE IT, BUTTON IT, SHUT IT DOWN, CLOSE IT, END IT. You forgot....TWO WEEKS!

Okay guys...my head is exploding! One final time as I have read through 40 pages of comments: When the Nevada Terrain is released who gets it free (not that I am not willing to pay for it): (1) Those who bought DCS A-10C in beta (any level of Beta) or (2) Those who bought before Beta 3 (at which I think the old Nevada had been removed before Beta 3 release), or (3) Some mysterious point? You name it! I would appreciate a response from a ED person.

Rather than going through 24 pages of comments, i don;t know if this was posted or not but here it is! http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3370714.html

Try this................. http://www.4shared.com/document/qcA9d045/Mission_Editor_Conversion_Char.html I also uploaded a copy to this sites User Files and it should be there once it gets cleared.

luckybob9 thanks, I just wanted to see that work was on-going. As for those who wanted "other worldly terrains" with a little imagination Nevada will allow desert combat. You can create live-fire training missions just as real as bad guys around the world shooting at you.

I know that the Nevada database "may" be released by the end of the year (last info I've seen) but how about an update from those who are creating it. Maybe a couple of current screens and/or a status report on how things are progressing? Thanks!
-
You wouldn't get a Purple Heart from a score. Maybe you got a paper cut after the flight filling out all the forms! Better yet you got a finger bruise from holding down the trigger.
-
CEPEGA you most likely were flying too low over the target when your weapon exploded and you caught some flack. Consider yourself lucky and enjoy your medal? LOL!
-
Thanks....I've been looking for those since the initial thread said they would be posted.

Check the News Update section of the forum...several countries already have it available, like Austrailia.

I had uploaded the joystick and macro files I used when I had my Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS. However I had edited them to remove some personal information and renamed them. In the old zip file the joystick file refrenced a marco file with an incorrect name so it wouldn't complie under the Foxey program. That has been corrected and a new zip file sent to the User Files section and should appear after being reviewed by the site. Sorry for the mixup. http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/59627/ The files can also be found: http://www.4shared.com/file/CV3ZMtgW/Foxey_Cougar_Files.html

Saw Matt's newest post....consider my socks blown off! How many "two-weeks" questions are you going to get now as the end of theyear approaches?
-
Matt's patch update v1.1.0.8 and the follow-on patches is great news. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71156&page=2 Any comment on the Nellis database work? :D I didn't purchase DCS A-10C until Beta 3 so I missed out on even trying that database! Bummer!
