  1. It would be helpful if you mentioned your CPU, RAM, and video card data???
  2. (1) Are they posted anywhere beside on YouTube? (2) What is the topic of the next note #3? (3) When might we see the next note? (4) I see the sim is being updated for DX11. Will it play on DX9 and how good/bad will it look on DX9?
  3. These missions and charts may help. I did not create them but downloaded them at some point. The ID charts were taken from the mission editor library ID missions: http://www.4shared.com/file/_rEu5Tnz/Vehicle_ID.html ID Charts: http://www.4shared.com/document/mf5CF0Vc/Vehicle_ID_Chart.html Hope these help.
  4. In the US, tower and pilot's use from. At least it's nice to know that there is a reason for the difference. I guess I will just have to readjust my way of thinking when flying FC and Ka-50. Since the A-10C is strictly a US aircraft, will this change in it's mission editor???
  5. Has anyone else experienced this? I did post it in the "bugs section". I didn't go through all 34 pages to see if this was reported although I did skim several and didn't see it. There is a problem in the mission editor with the wind direction. I set up a mission at Nalchik airbase. The tower wants you to takeoff on runway 06. I set up the wind (which should be listed as a "FROM" condition) as 5 m/sec FROM 065. It shows up in the mission description as surface winds 3 m/sec 060 deg. But the tower announces them as 3 m/sec 245 degrees. When I went back into the editor and set them up 180 degrees different, the tower now reads correct but the mission briefing and mission editor are incorrect. From my days in the USAF, the pilot always gets the wind direction as the direction that the wind is blowing from not the to direction which makes the mission editor setup incorrect. The other thing about this airbase and mission is that upon return the tower has me land on runway 24 opposite the tower takeoff. That occurs even with any wind data. I'm not complaining about this as runway directions do change while in flight - but it is based on winds.

  7. lennycutter For FC v2.0 it appears you need a wingman with the same target but for FC v1.xx you can get the target diamond without a wingman when you desgnate a target. I prefer to think of it as being lased by ground troops.
  8. Kaiza I simply mean that the laser target symbol be available to a single aircraft. Ground troops could be the source of the laser for that matter, it doesn't have to be an aircraft.
  9. I'm hoping that when A-10C is first released it will be released on DVD fairly quickly like Ka-50. Is this planned to be the case? Also I saw the thread on training with the interactive capability and am hoping that all the training "missions" will be on the DVD and not be huge multi-gig downloads. Is this too much to ask for? One last question....(for now) after playing with the mission editor a while, will the A-10C sim allow target diamonds to be set up without having to have a wingman present like in FC v2.0? This capability was much better in FC v1.xx! Thanks!
  10. Okay, I found something else out. I had downloaded a SimMod A-10A for FC v2.0 package with a April file date, that was the one that didn't seem to be working. I redownloaded the package from Lockonfiles.com and this time it was file dated 6/4/2010 (when you load it into ModMan 7.3). This one appears to be wokring but the skins and skin names in the mission editor do not seem to match up on some skins. First of all three of the skin selections all end up with a light gray skin with SP tail marking, the 104th, Desert 2 and Snow 1. Desert 2 is a darker gray skin w/DM tail marking. The 23rd Current is a gray skin w/BD tail marking The Flipper skin selection is a desert camo with warthog tusks. The 52th Fighter Wing is a green/brown camo with warthog tusks. The Jaws skin is correct - green camo with shark teeth. I forgot to check the European Skin Did someone screw the pooch on this package? I also loaded Ruggbutts Weathered SimMod A-10A Skin Pack and it parallels the basic SimMod selection vs skin above.

  12. There is a tutorial in the mods and apps part of the forum now. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=55753
  13. I believe this was brought up before. ED said that it would not be fixed but that the new DCS A-10C simulation would read the correct values regardless of mode.
  14. Combatace Yes, I stated in my initial question that I installed via Modman 7.3. Are you not having any problems changing AND SEEING the various skins in FC v2 with SimMod A-10A installed?
  15. Although the F/A-18 is limited to a few countries, I vote for some good carrier ops. Janes F/A-18 is still on my hard drive and a "study" version of the "18" would be awesome in my book. Besides, they are still producing that aircraft until the Navel version of the F-35 eventually takes over, several years from now.
  16. Thanks! Thanks for the tutorial. It does make me wonder though if the makers of SimMod for FC v2.0 did their homework or tested the various skins, or if it is a problem with the modman install in which why didn't THEY catch it???
  17. I seem to be having a problem with various skin showing up when I mod my FC v2.0 sim with the SimMod A-10A mod. I can't see many of the skin selection types that are supposed to be available in the mission editor. Without the SimMod I can select Desert 1 (Warthog) skin. When I install the SimMod A-10a for FC2 the skin changes to a light gray weathered skin. I installed via Modman v7.3. Also I tried Rugbutt's weathered skins for the SimMod A-10A and get the same results although I can see the various skins in the .rar package. What is the deal, am I missing something? I could use a few suggestions. I did notice that the skin files are not in the Temp Texture folder of the sim but I assume that Modman keeps them elsewhere??? :joystick:
  18. No Comments No one else having this problem? Or, is no one else trying to change skins? The version for SimMod works fine for skin selection in FC v1.12 it is just the version for FC v2.0 that seems to be causing me problems.

  20. Does upgrading a video card require a deactivation for Black Shark and/or Lock-On v2.0? I don't recall it being one of the listed hardware changes requiring one in the LO manual.
  21. Twilight zone....my head is spinning!
  22. Patch...? Just Wondering The patch is titled 1.2.1 but the simulation is v2.0! Shouldn't the patch be v2.01 or 2.1? Or was Flaming Cliffs 2 really 1.2? Uninformed minds would like to know. :music_whistling:
  23. Thankyou, I thought I had checked everywhere but I also thought that the Black Shark folder was for those items making the game compatable with BS. Live and learn.
  24. As for your stick, did you go to the axis commands and make an adjustment to the axis curve shape, i.e. put in a 10-15 dead zone. I had to do that for my Couger system because of the sensitivity. Options, Controls, Axis Commands, Fine Tune You need to highlight which axis and go through them one at a time for pitch, roll, and yaw (rudder). And, the way it looks it is set-up you might need to do that for each aircraft. I don;t know for sure as I only made my adjustments to the A-10A so far.
  25. Where in LC 2 folder is the pilot's information found (Logbook)?
