Just a hint: If you don't like the size of the pilot texture file, all you need to do is shrink the size of the image by 50% or more and then save. 50% of 4096x4096 would be 2048x2048. Shrinking a texture file not only makes the texture smaller but it also shrinks the size of the file itself leaving the computer able to read/buffer it faster. The 3D model is configured to still use that same texture by name but in-game it will just show up as slightly lesser quality.

Glad you are enjoying it. I have already added the Su-33 and Su-30 models by combatace but everything is currently on hold till FC3. However, FC3 is both good and bad news. Unless the authors of the models update their work and export them as EDM, they will not work in FC3.:ermm:

It is rumored that both smoke and flares are getting an upgrade. Is that true? If smoke is getting an upgrade, can it also be configured to be able to toggle it while on the ground?

I really hope the flare does get a total fix because it needs it, especially the trail. It took a bunch of tweaking but this is probably the best flare effect you can get with what we have to deal with.

This right here simply tells you this "threat" to Israel is fake. I especially like how they display a picture of 3 HAWK missiles and not something designed for long range surface to surface. Iran has to import gasoline because they can't make it themselves. Do you really think they can launch 150,000 missiles simultaneously? I think somebody fell asleep when typing the number "150".;) :D

Because when you installed FC2 it looked for the registry key of LockOn 1.0. FC2 (and soon FC3) are stand-alone installations that only let you install them if they see you own a copy of original LockOn or already have the registry key information in your registry.

You will only need the original Lock On 1.0 CD. It will work the same way as FC2 did for install where it will just look to see if you already have a legit copy of the original (full) version before installing the expansion pack/unofficial addon.

Well than don't get FC3 because that is how it will be set up, just like they did with FC2. Flaming Cliffs (series) is the expansion pack to Lock On and Ubisoft owns the rights to it. You can't just install expansion packs to a program if you don't have the full version already installed.
