BF3 is cod-like? You are mistaken. Very, very mistaken...

5850's are DirectX11 too, and 256-bit! The 5850's are great cards but if you want a better power punch, get a 5870. The 5870's have lower clocks than my factory overclocked 5770 but they have twice as many stream processors than my card and is 256-bit, mine is 128. If you choose to go with a 5870, make sure your case can fit it first though. If you want a 6xxx series than you're talking more money, larger size, and higher PSU requirement.:smilewink: Also there is no point in going with a 6xxx series if that is your reason because all 5xxx series are able to run the same exact drivers as the 6xxx series. Catalyst 11.5 is working just fine for me.

I would say both but the CPU would probably be the stronger. Are you planning to overclock right after you build it? Of course. To run most present games I recommend making sure you get a card with DirectX11, is 1GB or higher memory, and is 128-bit or higher.

Civilian or military? If civilian than I would say there are a good amount of them within the LO/DCS community as well. Military on the other-hand are a bit harder to find.:P

Simulating pilot workload is impossible, get used to it. Just because certain individuals may have spent a few hours trying to learn how to use most of the systems in the A-10C cockpit does not make them the professional they think they are. I'm sure DCS: A-10C is programmed so you still couldn't just walk out on a flight-line and "hi-jack" a real A-10. Real A-10 pilots have spent countless hours in classrooms and reading books on everything that you believe you have learned in a few hours or maybe minutes. You might also be forgetting that you are flying a commercially made version of an official simulator made to train real transitioning A-10A pilots into the A-10C. Chances are Eagle Dynamics probably removed certain features like helmet functionality simply because it is for military use only or HMIT in general just can't be replicated in this simulator without the use of 360 FOV and/or the actual helmet. My word of advise, just join the Air Force if you want to be as "hardcore" as it gets. That said, I wouldn't use the word hardcore so loosely because in reality speaking, the only hardcore pilot every one of us is a hardcore wannabe.;)

They are dubbing down BF3 for consoles, not PC. The PC version is the main original version which has been promised by DICE to be the ultimate experience to fully take advantage of the latest PC hardware.

Nothing comparable to. BF3 > Everything else

I think an FC3 has definitely been an option but the only problem is ED doesn't know what to call the combined pack, since Gold and Platinum have already been taken. Time to go check out the periodic table for attractive names.:book: :D

Skip compatibility with A-10C and go straight to compatibility with the next DCS. Assuming after release of the next DCS, both A-10C and Ka-50 will probably be receiving patches to the next DCS as well, why waste time patching to a product already released when you can set FC3 up for future compatibility.:smartass: Also, add another vote to a track rewind ability. PLEASE!

Did you Alt-Tab out and then came back into the game? And is your Visibility range setting on High? What you are getting is flickering from random objects since you must have alt-tabbed out then back into the game. Just restart the mission or something and it should go back to normal.
