Wow, a long but cool story :-) The F14 is shaking a lot, I plan to add some more filter/threshold that you can control if you like every cockpit shake translated to the seat or not... But one thing I would like to get straight: This is not true. My software is freeware! You need the get a license from Andre for his SoundModule.
-
I do not use the G-Feelings effect in planes. So I've no experience which threshold is good or not. But you can change the threshold in the settings tab... SSA reads the data and calculates the effects and then send this data to the sound module: https://simshaker.com/guides/cases/
-
The software updates automatically. You can adjust the effects for the soundmodule and the seat independently. PS: The latest stable is 1.3.13.0
-
Since the seat uses small vibration motors, everything has something to to with vibration. I can change the patterns of the vibration but I can not produce some kind of single bump. That's the reason I also use a buttkicker in parallel. Here it's easier to feel/produce single bumps.
-
When you hear the effects in your speaker, than your setup is wrong. You need a second soundcard only for your buttkicker. There the effect sounds are played... As motioned before, the F18 constantly moves the flaps/slats, I'll add a threshold slider to add some kind of filter... However, the F14 is constantly shaking as you can see in the cockpit frame... Maybe I'll add there a threshold filter aswell...

Could you please start DCS, SSA and the SoundModule. In the SoundModule Test tab you should see the waveforms of the effects. Enable afterburner and you should see something. If so, the connection between SSA and the SoundModule is valid. Then it has something to do with your SoundModule and voicemeeter settings...

Strange behavior. I just checked it on my side and everything looks good. Could you please verify that SSA produces the correct effects. There is an experimental Effect Monitor under the View entry. There you should see the strength of AB effect while changing thrust... Did you test in singleplayer? Otherwise, if you using the soundmodule, you might have selected the wrong soundcard for the effects... PS: All jets use the same afterburner file...
-
The F18 constantly moves the flaps/slats. In the future I'll add a threshold thus it should only play the effect if the flaps are moved for a longer period...

Hmm, looks like something blocks the execution of the application. You could try to launch it from the installation folder. It's somewhere located in C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\... best is to use the search from this folder and search for "SimShaker for Aviators.exe"
-
Strange, what anti virus software do you use? Any other error message?
-
Yeah, the helos are a bit tricky to get them right. For plane I use the suspension of the gear to detect landing. For skids I try to use the flex. We need to go this way since DCS does not report a 0 AGL when landed on a building. Maybe I need to revisit the Gazelle... The link can also be found here in this thread... I personally did not open FB for months...

Maybe you should ask this question in the soundmodule plugin thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=144060

Ground Roll is more or less a constant vibration. Ground bumps, are played roughly every 6 or 12 meters (not sure right now). I'm personally also not happy with the roll effect. It should have some variation inside... Maybe I'll find some time in the future to tweak it...

Thx for the feedback. I'll have a look...

SimShaker for DCS World Sound Mode Expansion - Discussion

Are you using the same sound card output for effects and your headphone? Are you using any kind of software mixing like voicemeeter? -
Sounds to me that you're using two different versions of SSA. The cat shoot effect is currently only available in the latest beta. You can only import settings from an earlier version.
-
Catshot => !Airborn && Launchbar extended && G.x > 2 WireTrap => !Airborn && Tailhook extended && G.x < -2 WireTrap is hard to test since my flying skills are currently very bad :pilotfly:
-
I just published a new beta: Version 1.3.12.3 – beta release - Support for XP11’s fixed turbine engine added - Catshoot launch effect added for F14/18, please give feedback. - WireTrap effect added for F14/18, please give feedback. - Launchbar effect added to F18

Yes, the new SSM is currently only supported in the recent SSA beta. I've another beta ready for release soon, after that, I plan to release a new stable...
-
Ok, so it looks like that you have 1 beta version of the Sound Module installed and one stable. SSA looks for these shortcuts. But you said, that SSA only lists one entry? I had to change the speed threshold until the effect is played. Otherwise, when your on the moving carrier, SSA thinks that you are sliding. (from the data side).

I mean the folder in your user document folder. For me it: "C:\Users\olaf\Documents\SimShaker for Aviators"
