They have not set a date, because they are still working on it. As soon as they know, they let us know. I understand we all want these items as soon as possible, but if they are not ready to release them, then them I’m happy for them to keep working on them.

Hey Guys, So in several of Wags’ tutorial videos for the dogfighting and AMRAAM operations, he mentions the controls will be different than from what we expect. Does anyone know, generally, what the differences are?

post a track file showing the issue in game, make sure that you are not running mods. This issue was a problem a few weeks back in the open beta. make sure you are running the lateset version.

This will be entertaining to try out. I wonder how manouveravle it will be compared to the other missiles and furthermore it’s effective range. I can imagine it will be a poor manouvreable weapon

Can the Harm track air radars? Is this simulated in DCS?

Also, try a start on the runway, engines on, in the mission editor. It’s not likely, but maybe if you do s cold start you are doing it wrong.

Have any of you just sat back and appreciated how user friendly the F/A 18C is compared to a steam gauge cockpit or older generation combat aircraft? Is it just me, being a millennial that finds the UFC and DDI’s revolutionary, simple and intuitive. In the A10C for example, to change the radio channel we have to look down, find the right switches, rotate them, etc, now, in the F18, we just select the radio, enter into the frequency we want and enter it in! pronto! Same for Tacan, in front of us. You lose so much Situational awareness digging around in your cockpit for the right switch for this or that, its so clever how the F18 puts almost everything right in front of your nose whilst still enabling you to keep an eye out of the plane. The only negative I can think of is if you take a round through a crystal display from AAA then all those functions are lost, compared to only one steam gauge being hit. But maybe this isn’t a concern? Perhaps a modern AAA round wouldn’t leave a small hole and would rather be the end of the plane if it went through the cockpit.

Is the TAMMAC included in the FA/C Lot 20? Then it should be simulated eventually.

to sum up: 1) it is used on the Mirage2000D 2) it can be used on the Mirage 2000C, as it is a pylon attachment on the Magic 2 IR missle pylon; 3) it is not used on the Mirage 2000C because of the role the 2000C plays in the french air force at present and the lack of a threat of IR SAM missiles to the 2000C 4) It was incldued in DCS world for players who like to use the Mirage 2000C in a ground attack role; 5) it is highly likely that it would be deployed by ingenious french airmen and technicians should the risk of SAM IR missles increase in a wartime theatre.
