I named the AI huey as transport1. I had two ground units: extract1 and extract2. However upon starting the mission I would always get the message after 5 seconds that the AI helo has loaded troops (even if the helicopter was airborne). I've tried placing the AI in a pickup zone at startup with and without troops near it, I placed a dropzone on the carrier and setup waypoints for the AI. I can't make the AI landed on the carrier. I also can't load troops on the AI helo. Another problem (which is most probably belsimtek's concern) was that unloading while resting on the deck of the carrier caused the troops to sink into the water and they were running (yes that's right, running) in the black sea instead of swimming. Also the helo seems to be skidding slightly while on the deck of the ship.

Hi, I'm relatively new to mission building. I did use the CTTS script in the past but reading about this one really got my attention. I want to make a transport mission comprising of 2 UH-1s (1 player and 1 AI) in which I'll be using Turkish hueys to transport US infantry to a carrier. I would like both hueys to unload their troops upon landing on the carrier or at least the AI huey should unload its troops automatically while I unload them manually. The mission starts at Batumi. I have already added a USS Carl Vinson carrier battlegroup off the coast of Batumi. I have MIST as the initializing script for the mission and have used the DO SCRIPT FILE command for CTLD.lua as shown in the screenshot on the GIthub page for CTLD.lua. If have no idea what to do next and I know very little about using the editor. If possible, I would like the troops not to be pre-loaded at mission start for both choppers. I would like the troops to load after both choppers have started up. It can be automatic for the AI but manual loading for me.

Will there be a professional flight model for the su-33?

- To enable a UNIT to use the transport script set its UNITNAME in the list of transports names or use any of the predefined ones in your mission - To manually define a GROUP as extractable add its GROUPNAME to the list of extractable groups or use any of the predefined ones in your mission How do I do this?

Ok I have found the c:\users\(username)\Saved Games\DCS folder but there is no script folder. I have extracted the edited script file into this folder. I set up a mission with 1 huey (player) and 6 infantry men. I made a trigger zone and in the "Set rules for Trigger" I loaded the script file. However, in the mission I do not get the radio option for "other". Alright, I give up. I need someone to give me step by step instructions to make a mission with this script. All I want is the F10 option in the radio menu so that I can manually load/unload troops.

I couldn't find a solution in that thread but thank you.

I've downloaded the game from steam. Which folder should I extract this script to?

1. Can the stock campaign be modified? 2. Is there a way to change alliances of countries, for example, like Belgium without corrupting the campaign?

1. I heard that troop pickup had been disabled. Has that feature been restored or not? 2. Will this affect the campaign also? -

Cold Start: How to make the FM radio set work?
irfanahmed1979 replied to irfanahmed1979's topic in DCS: UH-1H
thanks Yurgon, what about the horizontal flag on the CDI? I just remembered something, at the start of the elbrus rescue mission if I set up the FM to Homing and dialed in the ELT frequency there would be an audible pulsating tone (and it wouldn't go away), I used the hot start option for the rescue mission (never tried the cold start on any mission except this one till now). According to the manual whenever the FM set is tuning a tone is audible and it goes away when the set finishes tuning. I get no such tone when I change the frequencies after cold start. -
Cold Start: How to make the FM radio set work?
irfanahmed1979 replied to irfanahmed1979's topic in DCS: UH-1H
Do you mean the INVTR switch which should be set to off before engine ignition? After the engine startup I set it to ON Main. Is there a compatibility issue with any of the 2 Navigation sets? It's not just the flags on the CDI I can't even communicate with the tower using the correct frequency (41.80 MHz) even though the other two sets work fine. I even turned the FM set of and then to T/R and waited for roughly 3 minutes because the manual says that it has a warm up time of 2 minutes (I think). I've tried the Transmit Button (Radio and also ICS) keyboard commands but nothing. -
I made a small mission in the editor for practicing cold start and free flight. The mission starts at Tbilisi-lochini and the player is flying a Turkish airforce Huey. I can get to talk to the ATC with both the UHF and VHF sets but the FM radio just doesn't work. Furthermore the CDI has a horizontal flag on it which according to the manual is related to the FM circuits not working properly.
-
With cold start my FM radio also doesn't work. I can't contact tower no matter what I do and the ILS will have one horizontal flag on it. According to the manual the flag "Disappears when homing circuits are functioning properly. Remains in view when FM homing circuits are not functioning properly. NOTE: Do not use if either OFF flag is in view." My vertical flag disappeared but the horizontal one remained. P.S. I was flying from Tbilisi-Lochini

Both of you thankyou, that was very helpful.
