  1. Exactly Yurgon! +1 for that... oh wait :D
  2. I don't think ED should make any of the units listed above. With an exception of the tankers even then we already have tankers in DCS. These other units are useless in terms of supporting the module. Keep in mind that making these AI aircraft costs money, a nice/ well-done 3D model of any aircraft above isn't very simple to make. And they would take resources for no reason. The Hornet already has the E-2D Hawkeye aircraft, plus the E-3 in case you need something bigger, we already have the KC-130 and KC-135 which can also support the Hornet.
  3. Someone from the U.S Navy told me they would have to redesign the Super Hornet wings in order to remove the canted pylons and replace them with standard pylons that are not going to cause the drag problems that the SHs have.
  4. With an "old" option in case we want to return to the original one (i.e the current skin).
  5. Yup! and it would be interesting if the system was based on IP's too. Just to prevent, or at least, reduce the chances of abuse.
  6. I don't like this idea, please no... Hoggit/Reddit is ALL about downvoting others you don't like. This would be a mess. It's so easy to downvote others without posting a comment or giving the person that is receiving the downvote something like "Vitor downvoted your post" or something, the person will never know that you downvoted his/her post. It's so easy and it will be abused all day long, seven days a week. Just like Reddit.
  7. To be honest, the old system was good enough, as I said it could be improved in many ways. And the old system is much better than nothing really. But with the old system, in case someone gave a reputation to you, it would show you the exact post. So I don't think that would change that much. You're still receiving a reputation from a post.
  8. They should be punished for their actions, not us. This affects the entire community I believe. As Cibit said, people here and I am included took years to build some rep in the community, I mean, some green boxes and a random number might be nothing to you, but I have received many good comments from people I like, it was a pleasure, it was an honor sometimes. Just because a minority abuses and uses the system in a wrong way, it doesn't mean the entire community should be suffering from it too. I believe most of us here are adults. A label explaining how you must use this feature wouldn't hurt, a rule enforcing that too. I thought I was done about the topic, but sorry, I am disappointed. I agree with Cibit, I feel like everything I "made" was taken out of me because a small part of the community used it in a wrong way.
  9. Thanks, it doesn't have to be now obviously. But as long as it comes back in the future, that's fine. Will it be missed? hell yeah, but I can get used to it :) I love this community and I am not leaving it just because of that. Of course not. About the forum upgrades, oh yeah it definitely needs a few, such as a mobile version for our smartphones (ED is aware of it I think). This community is full of ideas, so don't hesitate to ask us. ;)
  10. Exactly. Banning or removing something from a specific group, people, community or whatever it might be isn't really the solution. There are many ways to solve the issue, I could make so many analogies here from real life. But that would be a topic for other thread. IMHO removing the rep system causes more than it solves the abuse issues.
  11. That's kinda sad, it's good because there will be no abuse, but it's bad because I no longer can give a feedback on people's post. To me, abuse is the only one cons here, there are many benefits of having a reputation system on a forum like this. This is a forum for discussions, and having a way to see if someone has a good or bad reputation helps a lot. In theory, it works almost like a democratic system, if the community likes what you do, you have a good reputation, if they don't, it's the opposite and it is in fact quite simple. Without any reputation system, you no longer can give or receive a feedback, you no longer know if you were too rude, too aggressive or something similar. If the community does not like the way you talk, the way you treat others, you'll have a terrible reputation, I don't think anyone here wants that, therefore you need to be polite and respect others. Obviously, there are rules covering that. I've been here for a few years and I like the system, so if you could, please consider bringing it back. Please. Removing it completely might not be the best solution, perhaps improving the system will make it better, and we will not feel the lack of it. It's important! So if I had to say something, it would be; bring it back with improvements, labels giving you instructions on how it must be used, and a rule covering the system, in case of abuses. Thanks.
  12. Being a huge fan of paintings, I gotta say that Super Hornet looks amazing! Nice job. How many days does it take to make one of those?
  13. That means if ED ever decides to make a real GPU for DCS, we would have two noisy generators around the Mi-8 in case we need AC and DC at the same time for whatever reason :D Thankfully we can close those windows...
  14. Make it happen, that's all I have to say! You already have a slogan made by Skate :D
  15. I agree, but if you had to buy the NS-430 again for the Yak-52, that would be a big nope.
  16. Close this thread, please. Nothing else can be added to this thread. Otherwise, the discussions here will be endless.
  17. Yes, please. Looking forward to that!
  18. NineLine is a cool nickname but he will always be Sith to me with the Stars wars avatar (it was a bit scary though) :D
  19. I think we can move on now. What's next? :D
  20. Maverick, with all due respect, I appreciate your knowledge about aerodynamics, and being technical is a good thing, but you were wrong about the Su-27 FM in DCS, it perfectly matches the real life charts. Are you sure about what you're saying regarding the Eagle performance in DCS? Saying Belsimtek (which developed the FM) added an extra performance for the Eagle on purpose is a bit too much. Just be careful with this kind of affirmation. What's your source for this? Are you just guessing? Otherwise, that's not a valid argument; Saying the X shouldn't perform STR better than Y isn't helping. See, someone pulled up some charts from the manual and we checked it, they match each other. Let's do that with the Eagle too. I'm aware that we don't have ITR charts though.
  21. 8G at 740km/h and 23.3 AoA seem be be pretty solid results to me.
  22. So that was actually correct? Using IAS?
  23. I was using the override in the first case (following your instructions), 550km/h 8G. The other two were done without the AoA/G-Load override (Y key).
