  1. Can't agree more Cake. One thing that I always thought it could be improved is the landing gear lights. Not the effect itself, but the range at which the lights reach the runway, how far it lights up the runway. I think that's a great point that Cake made. The effect itself is amazing, I love how they look now, since 2.2. But the range isn't enough. It's very clear when landing at night, you'll only see the runway on touchdown. It shouldn't be like that, you should be seeing the runway way before the touchdown, that's what lights are for. Anyway, the night lighting definitely needs more than a few tweaks indeed. PAPI lights and everything.
  2. Sirius, do you know the reason as to why we don't see restored Tomcats flying anymore, at airshows and stuff? The government simply won't let you do that, regardless if you have the money or not. That's out of the question.
  3. :megalol:
  4. Thanks quinncidence!
  5. Running the engine outside the aircraft might not be the the best option. I am sure they can find a great set/gallery of engine sounds floating around on the internet. I doubt they would be able to find a working F110-GE-400 anyway.
  6. Interesting, it seems to be better indeed. I assume the moon is still not working right?
  7. @firmek, Explain the relation between a module being in early access state and communication with the community. During the development of the Harrier everyone kept saying "RAZBAM is this or that, their PR is really good, other third parties should do what they do", and see what happened. Zeus said they were going to make the thread sticky over a month, and we are seeing something now from CptSmiley, finally. Regardless the state of the module, keeping a good relationship with the community is the ideal situation. Always. Doesn't matter if the module is alpha, beta, early access, finished, whatever... really, they should at least answer some of the questions on the forum. Anyway, if we keep going, it will get off topic. That's how it works nowadays, facebook is excellent at marketing :) Thanks for the update CJ, looking forward to it.
  8. What about night lighting? It's still dark black?
  9. Finally! Nasty fog is gone! Can't download the update though... :( No internet on my pc.
  10. They can't do that, they can't find an F-14 and fire up the engines. Unless they go to Iran? But that would be the TF30.
  11. Yes, RAZBAM went from the so known "best communication - PR" to completely silent.
  12. Yes, you can't change the temperature to a winter temperature without changing the month. :) Minimum is -12C as Mustang said.
  13. Classified doesn't mean nobody has access to it. Just saying.
  14. You sure about the Su-24? You don't know what's under development though.
  15. LOL Good lucking finding F-14Bs!
  16. Same here. They work just fine.
  17. Yup, Matt said this in an interview that he gave to a website. Which I forgot the name. That was a few days before the pre-purchase.
  18. Yep I do need to improve that. But it definitely needs a better approach to the runway. Otherwise I will have to use the stick due to the changes I need to do, which are considerably high due to the poor approach! So a nice approach will give you less work to do once you are aligning with the runway I believe.

    F-15E?

Yes there is a study by NASA flying around on internet about that.
  20. Maybe you misunderstood what I said but I have no problem landing the Hawg with near to or zero visibility. It's quite easy once you understand how everything works. But I've never been a fan of doing perfect patterns and all that stuff when landing so that's why I said that :D although IFR has been one of my priorities since I started learning the module. I just don't have patience to do the patterns used in real life.
  21. That's 100% correct. I am using the trim in order to control the pitch attitude, but that's because I am using auto-throttle. Just checked it with a buddy, and the procedure is backwards compared to the standard one, without ATC. Trim for AoA and throttle for altitude/glideslope.
  22. I can do the entire approach in the Su-33 with just trim and roll input. Pretty easy. The A-10C is a bit more complicated, but it's also easy and it makes 100% sense. Just follow the instruments. In the Su-33 you're following a ball, no throttle at all. I.e; keeping the aircraft datum in the middle of the Nav mark.
  23. March would be great. My BD was a few days ago and having the release of the Hornet at the end of the month would be very nice! Something tells me it's not the case though. I guess we will have to wait and see.
