  3. Napalm is fully doable and same goes for oldschool AAA with big puffs. We don't have any of that right now because either there's a lack of will or lack of competence to do them. Anyways, this is what it looks like in a modded form on a flightsim made 15 years ago.

  6. Thanks rge75 :) I'm glad you liked it and you're learning the flying part the toughest way ;) Having a story and some characters probably makes things more interesting. About the skin, it's in the zip-file for the campaign. Just downloaded the campaign to check it and there it is(!). Are we talking about the same thing? The Huey skin for the Bay of Hogs campaign? I hate to ask this but did you read the instructions?

I have a confession to make: I'm an idiot :) I tried the mission with the regular textures and it was damn near impossible to find both APCs...and yes, they ran out of ammo...and I couldn't get the tank with my last few rockets. So yeah, I survived and could go back to base for repairs and more rockets. But what the hell?! It was borderline impossible. Seems the Nam textures are a LOT less dense and that's pretty strange. Anyways, back to the drawing board :) And rge75 - you got grit!
  11. Good one, I believe there was something with the clock getting changed regarding the sun. A LOT of my old early morning missions went to being VERY early morning after the correction in the stable version.
  12. Nah, I'd just mess it up bigtime - I never play multi so I wouldn't have any sensible feel for it. But you know, you can edit it yourself. I have no problems with that.
  13. FastForward: Mission is set at dawn, have only tried it with jungle textures so far. But the light shouldn't change because of different textures. Are you using the standard edition of DCS?

  15. I'll fly the mission tonite for second impressions. Maybe it's bonkers or maybe it's just right. Armor out in the open might help but then again, no sane APC/tank commander would park himself in the middle of a clearing. But like rge75 says: "It's always a question of the balance between realism and gameplay".

  17. There are two APCs that needs to get cleaned out first. After that, a tank "suddenly" emerges and if you fly close to it, your gunner Chuck will mark it. He will actually mark it on three separate occasions so you should be able to do two repair/reloads after intial battle. So am I right in assuming you've knocked out one APC so far and the other one has no more ammo?
  18. rge75, if you've NEVER repaired before, no wonder you gotz problems. That first attack really gets the Huey mauled. Repair, repair, repair...and go get some :)
  19. rge75: -Repair works on my part, have you shut down everything before asking for a repair? If not, you can't get any repair. -Gunners, yes they are totally useless right now. I think they've managed to kill ONE VietCong so far when I've flown this mission. AND I have them set to 100% accuracy. Anyways, it's a known bug if I understand things correctly. -Running out of ammo?! Well well, you've been at them for a while then. I've not come that far ;) Conclusion: I'm beginning to think this mission is borderline impossible for some, but I won't change it unless the votes point me to it. And I promise some "breather" missions as well :)
  20. I think it had something to do with waypoints for the infantry. Like you have to make a separate waypoint for the regular disembark. Assign the regular disembark action to the separate waypoint. Or something ;)
