  1. Outremer for the M-2000C, you'll find it in the downloads section. I had big fun testing all the missions, I hope you have it as well flying them :joystick:
  2. Available in the downloads section. For those of you who have already flown Outremer in other aircrafts...yes, it is a port but I had good fun testing it. You might have fun too, who knows? :joystick:
  3. Killing the AI Mig-15 CAN be done but like I say in my description - some luck was involved :joystick:
  4. Spot on! Maybe I should take that into consideration...but then again, maybe not. Making a campaign that suits as many as possible is a balancing act. The Outremer campaign's first mission is one of those that made people give up. Same thing with Bay of Hogs mission#2...too demanding. But you gave me some more ideas nonetheless :smilewink: EDIT: The location! Yes, I had to look very hard at the map to find a somewhat remote location, with enough forest (jungle) and not too close to the high mountains...this to avoid showing how slackish my semipro mod really is ;)
  5. Ah! Well why not? Testing/exploring things...it ain't bad :)
  6. @Thisdale Those were some BADASS pics! And yeah, as noted by rge75, did you change the time or did you fly the old DCS engine? I mean that was like semi-darkness whereas on my DCS it looks like daylight.
  7. UPDATE: New "lighter" version of mission now available in downloads. The initial version I released was just bonkers and I'm the first to admit it. I believe and hope this new version is better suited for regular non-mental Huey pilots. NOTE: It's not for children though, you still need to hit with them rockets! Please comment on the download page, makes it easier for me.
  8. UPDATE: Just tried it myself and aced it on the first try. Now I DO have some training on this very mission as I've probably flown it like twenty times or so. But the bottom line here is that it's fully doable.
  9. Sorry for not attending this thread in a while - the first "test" in mission #1 is tricky for a lot of pilots so you're not alone. But you gotta go all macho on this: Get some altitude, use that to dive in and fly into that blue smoke, below the altitude stated. If you can't ace it, report back and I'll try it myself. EDIT: Here are some highlights - compare the flying to yours and let me know where the glitch is.
  10. LOL - and yeah, about that hook: tried it prior to this vid and it did NOT work. But a chute is always useful ;)
  11. Use emergency governor for initial speed pickup and get over that ledge! That mission is a kick in the balls :)
  12. I've noticed that too. As I don't use the embarkation feature, I use trigger zones instead for troops to enter - in order to "embark". That way I can make their entry path "avoid" getting too close to the chopper. Also, if in a pinch, you can go Nam on them and hover 6ft above the ground for debarkations.
  13. Same thing with the Mig-29A, look at 12:20.
  14. I would like to have an easy way to place custom sounds on certain points of the map and/or at certain altitudes. Just like map objects but instead of having physical shape and form, all I want is to be able to choose which sound (wav or ogg) and how loud it is. Oh, and make it loopable. So why this idea then? Well, just think of the possibilities: 1. Alien infested part of the city, like a certain building or facility. When you get closer you hear their vicious screams 2. ZOMBIE infested all of the above 3. More nature sounds one can add for added flavor (like cows or pigs near a farm) 4. Enemy infantry shouting at you when you fly past them 5. Enemy loudspeakers blaring out propaganda 6. Alarm sirens (Disaster Zone? Bank Job? ZOMBIE OUTBREAK?) Now of course some would say "you can't hear anything when inside a jet". Well yeah, but if you're in a chopper real close to the ground, you can at least hear the engines of vehicles. And finally, some might say "It can't be done". Well it CAN be done, at least in the mission editor for "IL-2 1946". A ten year old game or something. Anyways, I feel if we had this option we could really max the immersion. Another solution is of course to just add sounds that get triggered when in a certain zone. But they don't fade away when you move away and secondly, they get aborted as soon as there's another sound getting played.
  15. Installing DCS on an SSD really made my day! Hell, it made my year...and what a fool I've been!

  16. Now that was AWESOME!
  17. The hook didn't work so I used the drag chute instead ;)

    DCS: F-5E!

Let's all pretend it won't come out until christmas, then all we got is a pleasant surprise in store for us. I hope ;)
  20. Well damn, this seems like trouble :( "SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK" is what gets me...something with the connection to the internet. Maybe you've already tried this but I'd try the following 1. Port 80 and 443, are they open in your firewall? If not, try opening them. 2. Plug your computer directly into the your internet socket (no switches or routers) 3. Turn of anti-virus I'm just guessing here but it seems something on your end prohibits getting the certificate.
  21. For me, it's either bombs or rockets. They will not work together. And I use the bomb release button for the rockets.
  22. Dude, you found it! The internet is strong in you :)
  23. Maintaining speed during rapid descent saves you a lot of trouble with the vortex. Or rather, you don't get any vortex at all. When down low in ground effect, you can start "braking". The Gazelle can pretty much stop on a dime.
  24. I'll have to concur with the positive remarks here. Everything I needed worked from day one and even though the flight behaviour isn't my "style", it feels very real. You can't slack off for even a second :)
  25. Yeah, I felt they fit in here :)
