LOL, I'm sort of with you on this one but I won't say it publicly ;) I'm getting Viggen simply because of the great build quality on the Mig-21. Tailhooks...a thing that we've yet to experience in DCS. I mean sure, one of them toybirds in FC3 has a tailhook and it does work but it sure doesn't "feel" right. Hell, the tailhooks in "IL-2 1946" are more realistic and that was made over a decade ago.

LOL, I do the exact opposite. Full boost when diving, ease off when going skywards. Don't know which is better, we can surely discuss it for hours ;)

Correct, I for one can't get it to work and I usually get shit done.

This is probably old but it would be awesome to have AI-piloted Hueys having AI-door gunners fire their machineguns. Same goes for the Mi-8 door gunners, they just sit there and stare out into nothingness if the Mi-8 is AI-piloted.

For me, it just happens automatically. Not for you? The chopper goes out of control if you switch to door gunner?

DCS is a flightsim, balancing is for the Battlefield-series.

Art-J, I use roll&pitch autopilot pretty much always. But in the latest vid, my damn autopilot got shot! So I like using the roll&pitch autopilot, makes the Mi-8 a smooth ride. But without any autopilot whatsoever...things get dicey and I start sweating ;)

I've fired a Dushka in broad daylight, full auto, the whole box in one pull. I couldn't see any flash. It was just very loud and I felt happiness :)

To me, the damn bird wanted to dive all the time. And yes, I broke the tail section right before that repairing session. Tried fixing things with trim...just got worse so I turned off all trim. Tried turning off the autopilot (that vertical thing I guess, the default "light" autopilot) and that sort of helped but there I was without autopilot. Aaaaand then the bird wanted to nose down again, like too much. Got tedious, I rage quit! ;) All this on regular Caucasus map.

Just found this out myself. I'm waiting and praying ;)

Just before reaching 150, I pull back ALL the way. No trim or nothing like that. It works alright.

Here's how I drop the centreline tank.

Same thing here, before each flight I always have to trim all the way to the right. THEN it gets centered. And this ain't just for the F-5E, it happens for the Sabre as well.

Yup, you got that right. And I've been sniffin' around for more since I found this. I mean just check the Mission Editor...there's a LOT of new countries now. I mean Honduras, man! How about that? Of course it might mean nothing as well but if the map editor was released, we'd have a DCS World pretty soon.

Perhaps you've already seen this but it was totally new for me today. I mean just look at the new model, it's supercool! And now they can run as well! (It will mess up my "Bay Of Hogs"-campaign but it ain't no big deal)

Me, I'm a natural paranoid. I bought an SSD and did a full reinstall. And yes, performance skyrocketed! Now if you get things working with just a transfer - good for you. But being paranoid might just save you some time in the long run. Reinstalling, saving all your key-bindings from your config folder etc...all that might seem like a lot of trouble but when you get used to it, you'll get things running the right way. And you can sleep better ;)

@NahkaSukka That's a new one, WILL try the mission tonite. Or wait - my next thought would be that something has not been fully achieved. You've obviously sunk everything that needed get sunk 'cause otherwise there wouldn't be any Phantoms... DID YOU LAND AT THE RIGHT AIRFIELD? :smartass:

This seems to be working alright now, at least on 1.5 I can reload a mission and the explosions keep rumbling! :)
