Yep I did a fresh install and got missing MSVCP140.dll and VCRuntime140.dll error codes. :(

For those of you lucky ones who got the Normandy map early I just have one question. Have any of you created a multiplayer map yet? and will you be hosting it or uploading it to user files? Please please please let there be at least one. Thanks. -Stormy

I have been playing this map the past few days and I must admit it's a hell of a lot of fun. I've been mostly flying the Ka-50 to get the practice in and it's a challenge at times and me likes it, me likes it a lot! I love the fact that there are more and more people coming on the server and having a go at it. it's nice to see all you eager pilots work as a team or just go solo. The action is great and the threat of getting your arse handed to you on a silver platter if you get to impatient and get to close to ground threats is awesome. Except for a few crashes here and there(not a deal breaker) the map runs pretty smooth. So thank you map creator and thanks to the host this dynamic mission is starting to get more and more people, which makes for a fun time and more realistic gameplay. Cheers again to the map maker and host, I'll be back for sure and sooner then later. Over and out. :pilotfly:

Bill Gates said once that 640k is all the memory that anyone would ever need. But we needed more didn't we. Look it adds to the immersion, especially to the WWII era. People always get excited when they know that enemy aircraft are in the immediate area and need to scramble before they get peppered on the ground. IL-2 was and still is great for that. You hear the sirens and you start looking up for the enemy. It's a lot of fun and excitement knowing that you are in danger and need to get up in the air, or for those who have Combined Arms and maps implemented with C A to get into a AAA or SAM to defend your airbases. That's my opinion.
-
No you can still hear them even with engine running, they are pretty damn loud. But ya of course it would be dampened a bit though but still audible.

Hey all, I've been making missions for my brother and I for DCS for a few years now and I'm just wondering if the WWII map and or assets pack or any map for that matter will have working air raid sirens? I always thought it was great in the IL-2 series and it's an awesome heads up warning when enemy fly to close to our bases. Please if not then maybe ED can put them in or someone could mod one? Thanks all and happy flying/hunting/ :pilotfly: -Stormy

Forget it,I just figured it out. Thanks razo+r once I got into mission editor I set up a trigger and trigger zone and put up an enemy unit once the unit was destroyed my ground unit continued it's waypoints. I love this community for quick help. Cheers mate.

Thanks mate, but can you give me an example? Once I learn I don't forget, just need an example to show me the way. Cheers.

Hey all, hope your having a good start to the new year. Now to business... I want to create a mission doing a joint patrol with me in my Huey and following a ground unit Stryker or whatever. Except I want the ground unit to stop and hold at certain areas where there is an enemy unit or units up ahead. Once set unit or certain units are destroyed by me I want the ground unit to continue it's route. Can someone tell me the best way to do this that doesn't involve a script? Thanks Community! Cheers for now. -Stormy :pilotfly:

It would add so much to this sim, and yes maybe they don't do this kind of thing in normal military ops, but black ops, special ops, secret ops whatever you want to call it, it does still go on. I would suspect it's more for lets say governments doing ops that would never be sanctioned or legal and\or for situations where they know they can do it and get away with it without to much difficulties where they would be exposed or shot down. cloak and dagger type missions where you get in and get out fast. But I know it`s not a priority and I still would love to see other things worked on like ATC and such. but man imagine seeing paratroopers in a mission in DCS, that would be the cats meow!

I'm going to need a video tutorial for dummies, but once I see it I get it and practice practice practice until I'm quite comfortable with it. Thanks so much for putting your heart and soul into this project, it"s already paying off whilist bringing new and interested people to the DCS world. Pat yourselves on the shoulder Razbam Team and pour a round, you deserve it. Cheers.

+1 They are artists that make me want to throw more of my money at them, and in the future I have no doubts I will.

Sorry if this has been asked already. I see there are a few keys for the IFF, which one/s do I want to map to get a F or F ping? Again sorry if this has already been asked. Thank you Razbam, you guys are my #1 for best modders thus far for this year. The updates are fantastic, and the community rocks! EDIT: okay I see the answer down below. wow should have had my cup of coffee this morning!
-
However it would work I have no Idea, but it would be freaken awesome to see 40 paratroopers drop out of a C-130!
-
Is there a mod or will ED ever make paratroopers in this sim. It would be awesome to play some combined arms and see paratroopers dropping from the sky into an AO. Anyway I know it's not a priority or somewhere on the back burner even, But I always loved watching videos of Armed Assault and seeing like 15-20 paratroopers dropping from sky to change the very outcome of a fire fight in their favor. Anyway Love this Sim and love the community. Cheers.

Much appreciated! I'm already used to the french cockpit although I most likely will switch to english when it's all said and done. Thank you. -Stormy

I would like to apologize to Zeus67 and anyone else if I seemed over aggressive with my message. If you have read my first posts on this I love and support all you folks working on the Mirage-2000C hands down. My only thing was making sure you don't A: get impatient with customers and their same questions ( yes it can be frustrating, but don't expect that we are all going to go or even know where to go for that info.) and B: Yes it's beta, but some people are very ignorant of beta-alpha and all that jazz and when they purchase your product they expect all that and a bag of chips to load, work or look like it's Michelangelo or something. So sorry if I helped derail this thread, Love your work thus far Razbam (no not sucking up ) and am patient till the work is completed. Again sorry if I contributed to any negative posts, just do not want to see confused but good people get discouraged for asking the same questions or being somewhat computer illiterate but love aviation and want to get into combat or even normal flight sims. Again sorry. My name never came up nor was I pressured into this message, but I was a little aggressive trying to look out for the little guy. Other then that Love Peace and much Respect for all your hard work! Cheers.

Okay I'll try it, and report back. Thank you.

So you say but that doesn't make it the truth now does it.(not a question) for instance JTAC and Buddy Lasing is suppose to work for the M-2000C but it broke something else in the process and most people can't get it to work or get a CTD(for JTAC at least). So even if it's reported, the devs investigate and provide a fix, resolution, testing, whatever you said, saying it's fixed obviously isn't always the case is it brother. So just in case your struggling with it buddy, don't get all high and mighty because people don't want to go through text after text after text to find out if someone else reported it okay, do you have time for that? if so don't expect we all do or know the best way to get that info if it exists at all. Now I know this is beta and the bugs are being squashed and systems implemented(Much appreciated BTW!)but if you can't be diplomatic or personable about it then don't say a bloody word, because it gets lost on us real fast your words and your way of handling it. Look I may be being a little hard on you but just don't get impatient with people because they ask questions or the same questions, or just have concerns. Or get someone else to deal with the public that can be a people person to their customers. Cheers.

+1 for me. I would love to see a video tutorial of an A-10C lasing a Target for the Mirage-2000C with both perspectives and step by step details. Anyone? Please and Thank You.

I made a mission with JTAC and am getting 100% game crash when I go to choose my GBU-12's from my weapons panel whether I turn on master arm first or not JTAC has callsign and frequency set, is invisible, bomb choice is guided bombs and designator is set for laser. I know a few of you are having this problem have you had any success with getting around it?
