  1. Found this when testing a gazelle mission on the South Atlantic Map. Thought it was very interesting.
  2. I'll let my actions speak for themselves!
  3. It would be great to see a CA server, especially after they redo/update all the infantry units. If ED made controllable infantry of all types, anti-tank, anti-air, heavy/lite arms etc, in first/third person that would make CA a game all in its self. Of course, all VR supported too. I don't think it'll happen anytime soon, if at all. I'm sure if they did, it would bring in so many other players as well. ED could even charge $50+ for the newer, updated version of it.
  4. Thank you so much, that solved the problem! You don't even know how much I needed this today. You just made a new friend. Happy hunting, and landings, mate.
  5. Really just needed a distraction today and went to load DCS MT and well you read the topic. So now all my airframes, maps, and campaigns are on lockdown like I failed a Chinese social credit score. WTF is this and how do I fix it! I did a full repair, I don't do mods ever since I started using VR a few years back. This is both DCS MT or the old/non MT version. Help me ED-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope! Specs in my Sig.
  6. I don't know if you're using the stand alone or Steam version. But if you go to your stand alone, DCS World OpenBeta Folder there is a new folder named bin-mt. In that folder is the DCS.exe. That's the one you will load if you want MT. As for Steam, I believe it will ask you if you want to opt into it. Hope that helps. Cheers.
  7. Same here for me. I was on the South Atlantic map. But yes, you can now see ground objects through clouds.
  8. Well, we're getting the La-7 and Corsair, and I like most of what you all want. So I would like to see a P-40E Warhawk or the best variant of the P-40 for DCS World
  9. Okay, I found out what the issue was, since the update today, open composite for DCS world is broken. Once I disabled it, my mouse cursor and headset were back to normal. Which sucks because Necksafer won't run without Open Composite, which makes dogfighting useless. Hope that gets resolved soon.
  10. No, you don't understand, I want to use my mouse as my cursor to click on switches in my cockpit. I want the VR Headset NOT to move the cursor at all. Anyone else understand what I'm trying to say?
  11. Didn't know where else to post this message, I don't think this is a bug, but it is a real problem in VR. So I just updated DCS World and hopped into my F-16 (cold start) Well right away I noticed my VR headset and mouse both conflicting with each other as both wanted to be the cursor. I couldn't even start her up because the cursor would disappear when I moved my head to look at the switches I wanted to turn on. Please, please tell me there is a way to disable your VR headset from wanting to be the mouse cursor.
  12. Great Idea! I'll watch your video now, and here's mine!
  13. I would love to see an old 41-42 109 variant along with a matched Hurricane, and I would love to fly a zero in an optimized Marianas WWII map, against a Corsair, or Hellcat and vise versa. I think we would all love an earlier model aircraft, and it's counterpart to fly against, and hopefully we get them along with the proper maps/assets in the future. That's why I'm glad third parties are taking up the mantel, like Octopus G for example with the I-16 (too bad nothing similar to fly against) and the upcoming La-7 (insta buy for me). One thing about this sim is its development can crawl at a snail's pace, but the quality that comes from the hard work is now paying off, and ED along with those third party companies will bring a lot to the table sooner now than later. I hope we all get what we want in the near weeks, months, and yes years to come, and I hope we're not all in nursing homes by then . Kidding, kinda. Either way, DCS is my go-to combat flight sim. Cheers all.
  14. Ya mate, I know it's coming this week. Thanks, and cheers.
  15. I'm a little frustrated. I, and my brother, have been waiting for our Hp Reverb G2 version 2 for a little over a month. We finally got it last week, only to find out that it's not compatible with a 3090TI GPU. So I haven't even been able to test it out at all yet. Don't worry, there is a workaround, and it'll be fixed with the new hardware we had to order coming by the end of the week (basically a repeater and 8K cable). I just recently built a brand-new PC a little over a month ago for VR and specifically DCS World, and it's no slouch (read my Signature). Should I have waited for a 4000 series card?
  16. Actually, you're on to something. I would love to fly WWII Russian aircraft against 109s and 190s in a WWII set Caucus map as well. ED, what saith you?
  17. Agreed, we need Japanese aircraft, because I'm also getting the Corsair day one!
  18. I hope eventually that they do make the La-5FN, but I'll take the La-7 for sure! Those two birds were my fave in that, you know other thing, but the other thing could never compare with the realism and immersion that DCS World gives me. Come on 2.8 and come on La-7!
  19. First, I'm not crying, you're crying! Second, do I have to pinch myself to realize this isn't a dream. I'm so happy for you good folks at OctopusG for doing this. I love the La-5FN and the La-7, so this just made one of my biggest wishes for DCS World come true. I'll buy it day one! Thank you. Love and Respect from Canada! Oh BTW not a big issue but can we get wind effects for sticking our heads outside the I-16 cockpit please. Cheers.
  20. Yes this is a must for the Channel Map! I still get on it after big updates hoping they added it to surprise everyone, but so far nothing. Please ED fix this, it's time.
  21. Don't know if this has ever been discussed or not, but would it be possible to have a multiplayer Instructor mode where the Host(the instructor) can have 1 or more people(students) join and sit where they(the instructor) is sitting, where they(the students)can see with a pointer(or animated hands) exactly what the instructor is doing, or showing the students. Using the VOIP to communicate his/her instructions? I find this would be so much better and very practical for those very experienced virtual pilots to train others online, and in real time. What do you guys think, would it be hard to implement, is it even a good idea? Cheers.
  22. Oh my, new infantry would sure make this sim a game changer and make CA so much more worth it. I would love to see a Javelin fired from a forest line, or good defilade, as his fellow troops wait in ambush for the missile to strike the intended armor before engaging enemy soldiers. I hope for that and I also hope CA gets some VR loving too because it's pretty much useless as it stands now. Cheers.
  23. I am aware that AI can see you through clouds ATM and I know it's a WIP to remedy that, which is great! My question is will that also apply to smoke in the future? I would love to use strategic smoke screens to advance ground units. I'm working on a mission right now and it would be great to be able to use smoke to advance troops, and vehicles for the mission scenario. I can't really fly because of a shoulder problem(not for long periods anyway), so I'm making missions right now to satisfy my itch. Cheers mates.
  24. I think like Jabbers I'm starting to get DCS World Burnout too. That's why I stopped buying anything from ED months ago, and that's why I have no interest in getting anything else until the Core mechanics and AI ground/Air units get a huge overhaul. I would love to get the upcoming Corsair, but I'm not interested in most of the gameplay mechanics anymore. Most of the time when I can play(disabled ATM with a bad shoulder that effects my game-time)I find I just do instant action missions, even though there are plenty of good mission makers out there, hell I even dabble in mission making, and have gotten pretty good at it. But it's just the same thing over and over again rinse and repeat, except for the improved eye-candy, explosions and high fidelity mods. it seems like a naked, lonely world, devoid of realistic dynamic assets, ATC, AI behavior, and so on and so forth. Gets boring, real fast, even online with friends, or in my case my brother. Like I said Jabbers has a great take on it here. Anyway I hope ED realise that just putting out Hi-Res Maps and high fidelity Mods won't be enough to sustain them unless they show significant improvements to the Game core(Bugs, Bugs, Bugs, dynamic environment, ground/sea asset DM, realistic active airspace civilians and military, VR/multiplayer support, especially for a more polished and better Combined Arms etc, etc). I'm not giving up on them(flew my Ka-50 today on the Apache Hunting ground mission, it was okay for an hour, but I had to get off because my shoulder was getting to sore. Anyway I think ED might be getting the point with this thread. I'll be patient while I finish my physio therapy the next few months, but I'm still not buying anything else till then either, or afterwards until the Improvements that BN, NL have stated will happen.
