Seeing thing Saw geese? Don't laugh I'm sure I saw a spider I could have sworn I saw a giant spider drawn on the ground in Nevada, but for the life of me I've flown countless hours trying to see it again with no luck. I guess my VR is making me go loopy.

Many thanks for checking I will pass it on in the Bug section( although I am a bit hesitant to do this as they might want proof) Anyway I am jealous Being a Scot myself I can understand leaving for somewhere like the USA, I am growing web feet here in Edinburgh since it has not stopped raining with any conviction for a month. Regards Flask

I am sorry for not making myself clear its not about conformation of the kill or locking on target (which it does as per normal) no its about the targeting tactical screen that is physically in the KA 50 cockpit not showing smoke coming off the killed target whether a tank or a bmp etc. As I use VR I was hoping someone could go onto the multiplayer in Nevada and go attack a tank and see if their KA 50 tac Screen shows smoke coming off the kill. For me After targeting and killing the target when I look up from the screen and look through the hud there is smoke coming off the target, but when I look at the Tactical monitor in the cockpit the smoke is not there.

Hi I was hoping some Kind VR KA 50 pilot would help me, by going onto a Nevada Multiplayer (latest Version) and with the KA shoot some armour using the Vickers, I have noticed on my VR ( Rift) that after targeting and shooting the vikers the cockpit Tactical screen does not show any Smoke from the kill, I've no wish to report this as a bug until I know its not just me.

Future VR Chuffin Nora Soon you will able to see the whites of their eyes I remember looking in awe at the Tennis game in Atari, wot next a app to give a waft of Jet Fuel "Ah I love the smell of Jet Fuel in the morning makes you think of ......." Seriously I count myself so lucky to live in these days of VR and any better resolution is always welcome at my door.

VR Server Id fly on it, and although not really central to this discussion, Id like to add and say the vast majority of flight simmers who use Trak IR if given a five min try( and had the money) on VR would go VR despite the sight draw backs that this new and ground breaking equipment has ( at the moment), I now because of VR will go on the Aerobatics Server and not just fly but park up and watch other guys doing aerobatics up n down the runways, I actually deliberately park on the apron parallel to the run way in order to get out and watch the aircraft go by/land /take off, I cannot stress enough what VR has done to Flight simming, I am looking forward to the time where its slight drawbacks at the moment are gone. Yes checking six is not as easy as in Trak IR but? I for one will say VR its king!

Thanks for your post, I have glasses for reading and distance, and was in the dark so to speak as far as knowing what glasses to order.

If you have not tried it get off your seat and walk till you are outside the aircraft, they are all from the outside as well as the inside a work of art, if in multiplayer and the airbase is busy I get out and just watch them taxi and take off and do flybys, what's my favourite cockpit ? they all are, and as far as the non click pits? I'm sure( just spitballing) that DCS are well aware how good those aircraft look, in VR and ? ;)

LOL Resistance is futile, I am already a VR crack hoe, :) and that card is soooo shinneeeeeyyyyyy

I get vertigo especially when going vertical and looking out sideways, also after levelling out at med-high altitude, BUT I guess I would get that in RL, that's showing how effectively my brain is being fooled, Unfortunately the simming community is mostly communicating through the PC, and unless you know someone local the only way I to know to see if you have problems is to buy it, also found out that my simming hours that were high before have now gone through the roof and all my other interests have now seemed some what dull :) VR is Simming Crack

Dear oculus rift cv1 users. Is it really worth it!
flask replied to boedha68's topic in Virtual Reality
Yea I agree, also little things I was used to before now seem amazing, Taxing behind a Viggen and M2000 last night Wow!, the height off the runway in the Viggen, flying through the valleys just amazing, the SU 25 ? what a size!, and the cockpit!, the list just keeps getting longer. -

Is it worth it ? I have had mine just a few days now and my knee jerk reaction is "yes its worth it", I'm still phaffing around with the rift set up and have not quite got it 100% to my satisfaction but in general yes. After about 3+ hours Flying this is what I think so far Pros: In and out Cockpit reality realisation is light years better than a flat screen ( being in a cockpit and looking out as well as in) Pros: Height judgement is now a visual reality Pros: General DCS World spatial awareness is far better Pros: To sum up every thing is better for the flyer in 3D (minus some loss of definition & sharpness) ** I am now more aware of the Hard work that both DCS and all 3rd party developers put into this amazing Sim*** ( All Cons ( apart from the first one) could be and are I guess due to my PC's limitations at present) Cons: "Rift neck " (a condition closely associated with ww2 pilots " Weavers neck" ) will I hope go as I put more hours in :) Cons: Cockpit instrumentation glass is to me a bit "Meh" Cons: As many have pointed out its not as sharp as a High price monitor Cons: To Sum up there are limitation's at the moment with the rifts pixels being not as sharp as a really good monitor. plus the price of the rift is quite high, But for me who spends a bazzilion hours doing this its worth it!. -
I have just bought the Oculus Used it last night for the first time Can I just say Thank you to you all at DCS and Third Party Developers for the hard work and passion you put into giving me an experience that I cannot properly put into words other than THANK YOU.

59 and still enjoy multiplayer but tend to feel a bit awkward some times. Id like to join with other same age group, but as far as I know no squad in UK is just age membership qualified. Not easy( sometimes) to join in with some conversations , not their fault I add just different set of values and experience's that's all.

Connection Timeout Yes been using same Antivirus for years, "Bullguard", and never had a problem with getting bumped, now?, its all the time.

Hi Bader I fly the F86 or Mig15 most nights ( a non combat environment) I am interested but point you to my first post, I am really interested in flying as it was in the days of Mig Alley from ramp to shut down, to the extent of doing patrols even that end with no contact, for me its about total emersion. As much as I enjoyed shooting( using that term loosely ;) ) down AI migs to a point, it was not for me. Id love to keep in contact with you guys. PM would be great, perhaps we could sort something out.

Wanted "A very professional run Server" Having Flown ( granted some time ago) on their server, I cannot recommend these guys highly enough, as soon as you logged on, they helped set up coms etc, and whatever your level they went out of there way to make you welcome, If memory serves, at the time I was on, it was the "Fun Dogfighting AI" and although this was not my cup of tea so to speak, jeeze its fast and B**** to walls I can assure anyone wishing to learn the Delights of the F86 this is the place to go. I am not totally new to flying but would not rate my skills in either the 86 or mig as proficient, but Id really be interested if there was in the "Missions and Features for the missions to taught to be flown from Ramp to shutdown as it was in the days of mig alley, as I reside in "Alba-GMT" and these guys fly PST it should be ok but only during weekends as I work when you guys fly weekdays.( if they do fly weekdays that is) I have the Mig15 and can go red( but again I am looking for to fly as it was course minus the Language :) )

[NO BUG] Nose Steering in 2.0 since last update
flask replied to ThePutzer's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have had another go last night on the F86 to do with this steering conversation,( after choosing/ticking the box "simple steering" in both Nevada DCS and standard DCS world Versions) The Nevada Multiplayer, first 1) worked a dream on one multiplayer ( simple steering that is) 2) logged onto another Nevada Multiplayer, no simple steering BAH! 3) logged onto DCS World standard multiplayer worked a dream( simple steering) NB: I do not consider this a true reflection on the situation , its only as I see a quick try out after reading previous posts and in no way infers a problem with code or hardware, or to degrade any persons who are experiencing problems, it should not be taken as any other way than stated. -
[NO BUG] Nose Steering in 2.0 since last update

Yes I am one of the 1/2 doz ending up in the dirt, :( I am using the Warthog stick and the steering ( non latched) on button( little tiny wee speck of a thing it is to my sausage fingers) is behind the brake ( default afaik) I will try as suggested going to simple steering , but jeeze the way it is now its like trying to rub your stomach in a circular manner and patting your head at the same time but I've an ugly suspicion its not the designers problem but my lack of co-ordination:joystick: BTW: Take the opportunity to thank the guys that brought us the F86, glad I bought it, nice one. -
I am interested in flying Mig21/KA50 Squad GMT+-1 I am mainly KA50 but have flown the 25 but want to do the 21 as well. but unfortunately atm currently running 8Meg DDR3 and Intel i7 @ 2.8Mhz with x2 in sli mode(Good) graphics cards and am plagued with the DCS Stutters that virtually make training in a squad impossible. PM me though Id like to find out more info as to the proposed makeup of the squad ect,, BTW: I am in the process of going fibre optic on www, to see if that will help(I won't hold my breath).
