Can we get an official livery for the 66th WPS? THe A model has one but not the most recent version of the A-10

I'd like to see the 16th Weapons Squadron skin since we have Python and Rattler for callsigns (not that other units don't use those). It would be nice to get Weapons School liveries for all the Air Force aircraft for personal reasons lol. It would make the Nellis flight line look awesome. Note: I know the A-10A has a 66th WPS livery but the A-10C II doesn't. The Strike Eagle has the 17th WPS, F-15C has the 433rd available.

I may be wrong but I believe what the poster meant was how to make DCS Updater use the exe from the bin-mt folder.

I really did not want to bother you with this question because I thought I would figure it out on my own but alas, here I am. I am trying to make smoke markers appear in landing zones and then stop when I am done with the training event. I have it where the smoke will start but I can't make it stop. I'm using radio menu to send the flag but I might not be using the correct commands.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but this works great. Especially with JSGME. I made my own ejection handle and added this to the joystick default.lua and presto, I have an ejection handle that works without pulling it three times. There should just be a tic box in the misc menu or whatever that lets you choose single press ejection.

I follow this and still cannot talk to the tanker. I was wanting to go practice plugs and I can’t make the radio work. I am bound to the PTT (Game Comms) selection. I can get the menu to come up but no workie. I have tried every position on the radio selection dial just in case and nothing.

Disabled then completed the finish procedure, pasting the commands into the keyword list.

Solved. VSPX was the culprit.

And yes, that list is from the VA AI Comm.

Never had this issue before the new ATC license. No additional issues in dbug mode. I do have additional aliases but I did a complete reinstall but I still have the issue.

This is the keyword list from the profile:

Editor tab and then I click Finish and paste in the list to the AI Communication list.

When I try to call ATC (Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington, Batumi or even ATC, etc.) it gives me "Unrecognized" but spells the word out correctly. I have repeatedly done the training and the finish task. This started after I updated to the Realistic ATC. The words are in the keyword list.

chief, Go here and download this mod that renames the A-10C screen exports: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1411604/ You really only care about the MFCDs I suppose but this will allow you to export more later if you so choose. That should allow you to differentiate between your exports. I hope this helps. Also, I take no credit for the creation of these mods but they have served me well. I advise you to use JSGME or the like to keep these mods straight as they can begin to pile up on you.

I think I understand what your problem may be. In your monitor lua, do you define the A-10 MFCD as LEFT_MFCD and RIGHT_MFCD? They are now defined as ED_A10C_LEFT_MFCD and RIGHT. Do you also fly the Hornet? I ask because I notice that the Hornet and the Harrier define thier MFCDs with the same words (LEFT_MFCD etc). It used to be that all the MFCDs were defined as the same name but now I notice that they are changing them to be particular to the aircraft. I presume to allow for what we are doing here. Can I assume that the problem you have is that the MFCDs are not sized correctly to the TM bezel? I may be way off on my troubleshooting so could you post your monitor lua file?

So the MFCD displays are not exported through Helios. You can display those without running Helios by altering your monitor setup lua or like i did, creating a new one. I have attached my file but you will have to alter it to fit your screen resolutions and setup. This file is found in the root file location: Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\MonitorSetup. You don't need Helios to do that. You can just modify the monitor lua. Which aircraft are you looking at?

I think the helicopter AI is especially bad. The formation work is horrendous. They appear to fly a ToT to each waypoint and then they pause/slow down. They also try to terrain follow way too much. You don't get super low when crossing canyons. The AI attempts to cross into a canyon then descend to the canyon floor which means they have to make a huge climb to get across the next peak. The right way to do this would be to stay high across short canyon crossings or better yet, plan a route that takes you through canyons not across them. The AI has taken me into box canyons which is the last thing you want to do in a helicopter if you can help it. Formation landings are a disaster as well. Chock 2 tends to turn around while on approach which hangs me out to dry. The mission composition could be a little more clear as well. When landing to a FARP the mission could specify that you land in a certain spot. "103, take pad 4" or "103, you land on the far west pad." That is type of thing that we would have planned out prior to landing either over the radio or in the brief. Maybe I'll mess around witht he mission planning and see if AI helo formation altitudes can be improved.

I had to kill the convoy myself. The Hip just RTBs after one pass that misses.

I also use both and it works fine. I will get some lagging response in Helios if I neglect to restart my machine prior to flights.
