For those who wish to have the complexity of a serious study simulation, we need to create training lessons with voice-overs that guide the user through the complexities of the various systems, avionics, engines, weapons etc. This can be a very time-intensive process. We also need the time to write the manuals, create exciting missions and campaigns, fully de-bug the code, and get the product into the market place with proper marketing.

    yesterday I refreshed my X1950GT with a wrong BIOS, it's over then. today I bought an HD3650 and tested it with LO1.1 demo. it works fine. then I have some confidences on it with DCS

  15. 2048x2048@16bit or 1024x1024@32bit? I think some kind of compression may help. For example, pak the tga/bmp file to zip format and let the engine directly access it (like what Quake/DOOM3 engine do)so that automatic skin download may not be too much payload. How?
  16. I'd like to have a basic flyable demo. But I won't pay for it. Demos are free. Back to the 1990s, id Software releaseed its DOOM/Quake as freeware then they spreaded to the whole world then everybody who loved that games payed for the complete version.
  17. I have noticed the DCS shadows problem for a long time. Back to April,2007, I just finished the campaign in ArmA. And I love that shadows casted by helicopters' swirling blades. It's amazing, it looks like what you could see in real life. And I saw some DCS videos, noticing that the blades do not cast shadows when blades are waving. But there are shadows near the center hub! I'm just thinking this: you have made the shadows near the center hub, why not expand it to the whole blades? I feel it like somebody paints half of his house then leave the other half unpainted.
