It's a 259,200 pixel-per-eye, or 25%, increase: 960 x 1080 = 1036800 pixels 1080 x 1200 = 1296000 pixels

Dunno why he's always got a roll though, I don't typically start that way... Unless it's a weather effect?

Epic! Is it possible to extract a total ordnance tally from somewhere? :-P
-
Cool! Thanks shagrat :-)
-
Will he? I don't. Start another thread methinks :-)

Hmm... Shall PM you :-)

Cool! Maybe when I'm less unskilled and wouldn't be wasting your time I'll take you up on it (as part of an international beer-for-knowledge program :-P)

Rudder pedal axis inversion and strange habits
Shmick replied to DracoLlasa's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Yup! I instinctively rudder exactly the wrong way taxiing, like you're describing and had wondered the same thing. My theory is that I'm pivoting my body to face the direction I want to go...? Using head tracking too, perhaps that makes a difference. -
...But be aware that if it isn't exclusively your spot, another aircraft may spawn on top of you!

You and Milan of MFG Crosswind fame should team up. The Crafty Croats could take over the flight sim hardware world! :-)

Yeah, that's actually quite eye opening - especially when I'm turning back in trying to find you, looks like I'm leaking fuel! EDIT: Also, you must have better luck than me with the ol' replays - this was the only fight out of 2-odd hours worth that actually turned out (dodgily) for me.

One day I'll learn to look out of the cockpit :-P Also, running low prolly would've been more sensible. ...Pretty stoked with my death-rattle pyrotechnic display though! Managed to get a mostly-kosher looking TacView out of the replay if you'd like it? Sadly it seems I can't easily trim it to just that engagement...?

What kind of Headtracking system are you using?
Shmick replied to Griffon26's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
FaceTrackNoIR doesn't save settings when you exit, or warn you that they'll go unsaved. You have to explicitly hit "Save". Could it be that? -
No, it adjusts the trim, then that sticks.
-
Aye. Can't seem to find the forum post that discussed it right now, but it's in there somewhere...
-
Oh - and engaging auto-attitude and disengaging :-P
-
'Fraid not - apart from the scary take-off trim?
-
I dunno - that's kinda the point though, isn't it? If 90% of DCS players wanted labels to be forced-on, I wouldn't agree :-P EDIT: I should point out that I'm utterly crap at spotting aircraft both in real life and DCS. Just want it to be as "realistic" as possible, whatever that may mean!

Hrmm... I don't have this problem (FaceTrackNoIR with PS3 Eye, PointTracker). Are you setting them in the "CL-Eye Test" app that came with the driver for the Eye (whose name I've completely forgotten)? -
Could you tell us which? Also, you're definitely setting control options for the F-15C and not in "General", yeah?

Msi Gtx 970 4g and i7 4790k low fps

If this is true, they gotta put a large sticker on the Haswell! -
Skate's point about the 12 V rail is important, too: My old PSU actually had two separate 12 V rails, neither of which could supply the 25+ A burst current the GTX 580 wants (if I remember correctly). If it'd had one rail with the combined power output I may have been in the clear. Another thing to be aware of is that a "750 W" PSU may not be... They could quote a power figure including the reactive component, which doesn't help you. An 80% power factor PSU of "1000 W" will deliver only 800 W of power you can use. With others that it's interesting that only the DCS F-15C that seems to cause it, though! Have you tried that CPU / GPU stress test? EDIT: Updated reading suggests multi-12V-rail units that don't support combining 'em to increase the available power are a rarity nowadays... My old PSU was quite crappy!

What blackbelter said (though there may not be an event viewer entry for it). I had exactly those symptoms when I upgraded my GPU and the power supply couldn't handle it - as soon as the card tried to draw the oomph needed for proper 3D rendering, the PSU'd auto-reset.

Also, note that the time is indicative of the predicted pitbull / impact time at launch and that the effective times may change (e.g., because of the target maneuvering). Give it a couple of seconds extra if in doubt
