IF you still think this is a bug we need a track file uploaded here, so that we can look at it in depth. IF you cannot provide one, we cannot assist. Pictures help but a trk will show the devs everything.

Hi Daniel. The team has investigated the issue you reported thoroughly. Our conclusion is that there is no bug with the -65F but simply with the logic the game uses for IR guidance. For IRMAVs, the sensor must lock the center of the 3D structure. In this case with the command structure, the center is in fact in the middle space between the two antennae. To further that, our SME has suggested that rather than using an IRMAV, to instead use LMAVs as they are for more accurate on a structure and can provide a better probability of kill. The SME suggests only using the IRMAVs for tanks and ships from his own experience and that they preferred the LMAV dude to its increased range and accuracy. Hope that helps, I will merge all -65F threads and mark AS INTENDED whilst moving it to resolved.

That would be because no RAZBAM updates were initiated into this patch. MArking as known and moving to resolved.

YEp. We will work with what we have and then look at adding new systems.

While correct we cannot change that the locks dont happen because of contrast in DCS. The game doesnt work that way. For CCD or TV it simply asks if there is a unit where the sensor is looking and the game will say yes or no. For IR it has to point at the center of the 3D structure model to lock. So while unrealistically perfect that is as much as we can manage with how the game interprets sensors and locking logic

After consulting with the team this is indeed incorrect behaviour and has been added to the internal tracker. Thanks for the catch Aernov, I didnt even know I could to that with the DMT until you caught this bug.

I can also now confirm the same process works as well for the GBU-32.

So I've tried this with the DMT designating targets for the GBU-38. After pickle, I use the WP Increment button to un designate the target. Then once thats done I'll use the AG Un-designate button to bore sight the DMt and then from there I can turn back in and use the TDC action to designate a new target, WP increment to designate for the GBU38 and from there carry on with the previous steps. I'll give this a go with the GBU-32. I know the rings on the EHSD for the 32 has been mentioned but for the DMT designate I'll double check with the TACMAN to confirm this is correct behaviour as well as double check with the SME.

In order to confirm this I will need a .trk file to press it forward. If you have others that were present and confirm the missing functionality then I encourage you to have them post their files here.

I think that comment was unnecessary, I'm looking into it and have brought it to the devs attention and when our SME gets back to us well let you know.

This bug has been resolved already. No issues on Tarawa. If the issue comes up again a new report will be needed.

Which model is it that you used as reference for the pictures on the left?

Though I'm not sure if its specific to the harrier, the Marines used only specific warheads on LDH craft IFAIK but will consult with the SME on this matter.
