Bet you never thought anyone would address this, did you?
QJW replied to carss's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I actually want this, but never gave it much thought. Now I want it a lot. -
Oh man I completely forgot about this project and I am so glad I found it again.

Anymore lovely liveries you going to make or are you holding off for now?
-
WOW Just found this update now. Some great stuff here that I missed.

OOOOOOOOHHHHH! Is that a C model Mustang I...C?
-
Probably as much of the Pacific region as possible that could be drawn out for DCS, also a large middle eastern map.

Nice, Very good news to have an update :D

Granted I haven't downloaded any of your aircraft modules but they all look seriously impressive for mods and damn you guys have a ton, slowly convincing me to buy the P-51 soon. Out of curiosity, are any of the gun emplacements...how do I put this, moving parts? And if they aren't, do you guys plan to ever make them as such? How much extra work would that require? You guys do some awesome work and the amount of extra content you guys seem to provide is spectacular. Keep up the good work!

Hypothetically, it is going quite well as it is scheduled to be out late this year as based the roadmap( http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116893 ) but it is also slated for release in the year of 2017. Personally, I would say it is not going too bad, but no one can say for sure except ED themselves. My plan is just to see if we get any word by the end of this year, and we are not even a full half way through the year so there is plenty of time for stuff to change and happen. All in good time m8.

Well there is potential for naval counterparts to be operated in DCS, it definitely would not be something that would be simple to implement and would take time and resources, which currently ED is using to update their game engine, aircraft and add maps. So in the long run I could see it being a possibility, but definitely not any time soon. As stated above, Combined Arms is available, but its sim level is of a simple standard and many aspect of ground combat are not implemented such as, for example use of concealment and bushes. CA is being improved upon but not at a rapid pace. If you go checkout their Roadmap( http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116893 ) you will see that they have an M1A2 Abrams in development, but it is currently on hold. TL;DR It could happen, but not for a long time, but work is being made for expansions outside of the fight sim department for this game in one form or another. Cheers mate, have a good one.

No training missions for Mirage 2000 in DCS World
QJW replied to BattleAxes Skinner's topic in M-2000
It takes time, for example, the F-86 was available about sometime late in 2014, but the training missions weren't released till earlier this year. It takes time man, Youtube vidoes are super helpful at this time. -
Oh dude, I like totally didn't notice it, and I've gone threw that thread like 3 times.

So this is a plane that I would think would be very much welcome into the DCS community. It was a very unique aircraft for its day and it still is very unique now. One of its defining and most distinguishable features would be the 2 engines stacked on top of one another as seen below: It was mainly designed as a bomber intercepter but could also combat with other aircraft. The aircraft also has two 30mm cannons and two hard points for either carrying two air to air missiles, both the De Havilland Firestreak and the Hawker Siddeley Red Top, or it could carry two over the top fuel tanks as visible here: There is many surviving examples of this aircraft all over the world giving many oportunities to study the jet and make it possible. I believe this aircraft would bring great competition for both the Mig-21 and F-5 as well as the up and coming Mirage III. Hopefully this aircraft could become avalible some day! :D

SPECTACULAR WORK HERE MATE!
-
Cuz it was costing way too much money and really cutting into the military budget. It's a super expensive plane like the F-22 Edit: Didn't realize you meant the AIM-54. It also costed a butt load of money

OOOOOOHHHHHH Pretty!

Well, trying to stay withing regulation here, but that market is not a bad market to be in right now, and with the tight regulations on many current Russian jets, older ones might come easier to make, it is definitely easier to do more modern American Jets than it is Russian ones. But it is The Battle Simulator cuz that can always have multiple customers and be sold to many people. It's a market and I like the prospect of being able to see what ED could be working on behind doors.

I wanted to say that wasn't there a LA-9 currently in dev/on hold? looks like there's the proof.

I really love the module, I haven't flown it as much as I think I should, but the more I do, the more fun it becomes. There feels to be a skill ceiling and I want to climb up it to become better, at least in air to air. great aircraft LN, love it and can't wait for your upcoming F-14!

So much good stuff here :D

AWESOME, CAN'T WAIT!

DCS: F-86F Official Interactive Training Missions
QJW replied to derelor's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
Wow, I did not notice there was training missions put in place for the F-86 Saber. I have had this plane for over a year, was actually my first DCS purchase. I was really happy when it came out but had to pretty much learn everything by hand. Glad it finally got some proper training missions, going to have to go do them. Thanks m8s. -
That is implemented yet, but Will eventually come in 2.X.X, at least that is how I understand it
