  1. I'm thinking about getting the harrier during the sale, and was hoping you guys could clue me in on where it stands. I know a lot of systems weren't modeled in EA, so I'm curious as to what's still left undone, and how the progress has been going.
  2. Only if it's alone in an alley. But yeah, hold the trim hat to the "nose up" position.
  3. Do you have the RECCE switch bound? It makes the JHMCS appear/disappear. Worth a shot.
  4. Also, I've heard from an f-18 pilot that he's heard from other pilots that if you hold the trim up from your break turn until you hot 250 knots you'll end up on speed. I've only tried it once since but it seems to work.
  5. If you use my carrier script (link in signature) there's an f10 option to get BRC. I've gotten reports of a DCS issue regarding F10 menu issues atm, but haven't seen it myself.
  6. @Wags Personally I think it's perfect as is. However, It might be worth looking into allowing user to select which eye as well, since the only reason I can imagine guys getting nausia might be if they're left eye dominant. Cross dominant riflemen often have similar issues if using holographic sights with their non-dominant eye. As the auto mechanic says, "Normally it wouldn't be worth the effort, but while you're in there..."
  7. Hey Kegetys, I was wondering if you could help me with something. The JHMVsS on the f-18 render in one eye in VR (which is correct to IRL) and I was curious if it might be possible to get the NVDs tondo the same. They did once upon a time, but it was reported as a "bug" ad nauseum until the devs "fixed" it. Anyway, thought I'd ask since you seem to be the guy who knows about shaders. Thanks.
  8. Pretty Pretty Pretty please don't change this.
  9. Yeah. I had to create a target profile for the thruatmaster to have it press the default buttons, and can't use rudder pedals, but other than that it works great.
  10. I've tried that and noticed it does a great job making the iflols blurryer, without making it more useful. An export is definitely the way to go. Actually a pop-up window in-sim would be best, but apparently not possible (or at least exceedingly difficult) as not even the NS430 does that.
  11. I'll have a look but the script doesn't touch the icls at all other than to check what it's set to, so it's probably a DCS issue.
  12. I use it for Discord/twitch chat as well. Oh, wait, OT. But seriously, I need this so hard.
  13. Remember if you're on rift riftcore 2.0 has desktop capabilities, and you can "pin" a window to your VR view in-game. Also,
  14. Due to the nature of this script and it's ever-updating status, and how often I get questions on it, I've decided to pull the trigger on something I've had in mind for a while. I've created a Discord channel called "Wrench' Nuts & Bolts" to help guys out who post those "any experienced pilots" type of posts, as I'm always happy to help. To the point of this script, I've added a channel there for carrier script related conversation/questions. See you there! https://discord.gg/czgYQa2
  15. I'd be happy to give you some pointers if you have discord. I have a channel set aside for that purpose,of so shoot PM if you want an invite.
  16. That's what the latest hotfix is for. Look for 1.1.1. It also adds support for the Tarawa (automatic)
  17. Yes, the latest version will always be at the bottom of the list. Also, uploaded version 1.1.1. 1.1.1 Corrected Typos Corrected Carrier return behavior Carrier should now always make left-hand turns Added official Tarawa/Destroyer support (thanks for pointing this one out shadow)
  18. Yes, what the script does when it's time to rtb is create a waypoint at the carrier and set it to the landing type. The AI will then find the nearest airbase it can land at that meets 2 criteria. 1) support the aircraft 2)friendly/nuetral coalition. So you're c130 won't attempt to land on a carrier, but you can't control where it will land.
  19. Like I said, I'll look into the other carriers. I think I might have the script determine the offset itself. That way, as you say, rotor heads can use it on their destroyers as well. The tanker script uses the ship's current position and BRC every time it runs (when the tanker finishes an orbit) so the tanker can start anywhere, but it will always fly to and orbit the carrier to which it is assigned. It will also attempt to land on the same when it runs out of fuel, so it might not be a great idea to use on a c-130
  20. Yup, you're correct. I'll have to make a hotfix this week, so I'll add that in as a global variable similar to the tanker orbit parameters as shown in the 1.1 video.
  21. I'mma have to hire a proof-reader.
  22. There may be a bug in the latest version affecting the carrier's speed while returning to it's IP. I'll investigate this and if necessary push an update this week.
  23. I don't think I'll be able to get this to work. Helos don't like being scripted in DCS, sorry.
  24. Version 1.1 uploaded.
