  1. I'mma throw my two cents in here. Sounds are fine, don't resist change.
  2. I don't really care about the nex textures per se, but the fact that it's PBE allows me to make the cockpit mod I've always wanted: Note: The dashboard is totally separate from the gauges, so no more horrible pixel-by-pixel masking.
  3. Yeah, it's funny, I tried mklink too. Coug4r, the trouble is the MV1 was removed with the 2.5.4 update.
  4. Bump, Modelviewer 1 was removed, I really need MV2 to load textures from saved games/
  5. Didn't Ollie say, in his interview back in 2016, even with the relatively up-to-date tanks he saw in Iraq it only took a few (IIRC he said 2) hits? There is also more than M, F and C kill. There is also a crew kill (K kill IIRC) which I imagine would be pretty possible with the amount of spalling a 30mm is likley to create.
  6. I mean, here's a sight that has a few and they look pretty prestine. https://www.worldwarphotos.info/gallery/germany/aircrafts-2/messerschmitt-bf-109/messerschmitt-bf109-cockpit-photo/ This one appears to have been shot down or crahsed, and still looks pretty fresh.
  7. I mean, they don't have to be color. I just want to see how beat to hell they are.
  8. I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. We have the latest and greatest 109 design we could reasonably hope to have.
  9. Does anyone have period reference photos of the 109's cockpit? I ask because I'm curious how beat up and 'old' they looked while operational. I feel like sometimes the cockpit wear gets overdone as the artists use 70 year old museum relics as reference.
  10. I'm interested to see how it looks at night. The original version is impossible to see, even with the UV lights on and the gamma way higher than it should be. Without baked on shaddows, I'm hoping it'll be more visible.
  11. Mad props, team. LANTIRN looks spectacular. Also: The need-for speed!
  12. It looks great, but it now changes to the "default" preset based on if you launch VR or non-VR, and ignores the preset dropdown. I mostly use the utility for that purpose, so I'm hoping you can fix that :)
  13. The A-10 uses its own HMD, but it would be nice to have it. The trouble is it's one of the things the USAF said they had to remove when they made the sim. I'm hoping now that JHMCS is out on the f18 an entrepreneurial modder will make something for us...
  14. Thanks Gliptal, but I actually meant the raindrops. Funny enough, I've tried the buttons/switches mod before, but it was actually more confusing as I've spent years in the aircraft and have the janky switch directions committed to memory.
  15. 1.6 ATA?? How long does it take the send a piston rod through the fairing?
  16. Sorry you're having trouble. What other scripts are you trying to run? If you can send me a copy of the mission I'll have a look.
  17. No, I'm pretty sure this has been dead for a while.
  18. This is a subject that's been fought over for a long time. Have a look at what the burning skies guys had set up before the update that broke their mod. They might have made a new one since then, I'm not sure.
  19. IRocco is correct, the special tab isn't a hack. The ground crew would set the trim tabs as per pilot's preference, and the first thing he would do with a new plane (given the time) is take it up and then have the ground crew make trim adjustments.
  20. Aww man, I never even thought about that. Yeah, that would be nice.
  21. Thanks, guys. Sounds like it's mostly there. Anyway, at $35 I thought I can't go wrong so I got it. Even if I don't end up flying it much it's no big deal. Kinda neat to hover a plane. I've spent about 20 minutes with her so far, and it was surprisingly easy to hover. I was afraid I'd be slipping all over and crashing a lot, but I guess all that practice in the Huey (since release) paid off. The small group I fly with actually has a brevity code for "Everything is done except INS align" BTW.
  22. I was working on one until alexos released his, so I didn't see any point in finishing it.
  23. I just use DCS's native IO curves. About 25 with a 20 deadzone seems to work.
  24. So I see you're using an analog stick, is that correct? I've looked a bit at using an actual I2C device, specifically this one from Greyhill: http://www.grayhill.com/assets/1/7/Hall_Effect_67B.pdf Can anybody tell me if I'll need to do any hacking, or is I2C I2C?
