  1. Since a few updates ago, I'm experiencing the Remote Oculus button no longer switching from DCS in Desktop. This used to ALWAYS work without exception. The issue may also be with the Oculus nee Meta software, as that was also updated a couple times in the last weeks. I'd firstly just like to hear if others are experiencing the same issue.
  2. I FOUND IT!! Cyclic Force Trim Mod for Virpil VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base Many thanks for all your support and suggestions
  3. Hi Shrimp! Many thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, that's not the project But thank you anyway
  4. Sorry if I sounded... grumpy or something. It's just a suggestion, and since you already have 0.7.0 appended to your file name, I thought a gentle reminder about updating the version number was in order. Sorry if my elbow wasn't very gentle
  5. Well, I don't know that it is missing, but I know I saw it in a thread the DIY fella opened here somewhere, and now I cannot find it. I've spend a good hour looking and searching - nada I recall that the builder was American and probably 50+ years old. He has a metal workshop bordering on professional, from what I could guess. I'm guess that he is a professional machinist. IIRC the project was a store-bought stick and gimble-base, and he was building everything else from scratch - meaning, he was taking raw aluminum bars and blocks, cutting them to size, and machining them with very high precision into the parts he needed. The builder was putting up YT videos each step of the way - each video being about 20 - 25 minutes long, showing his plans, machining every part, and building the parts together. The last video I saw was probably about 4 weeks ago. If anyone can point me back in the correct direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Many t(h)anks in advance!
  6. Love that the Apache is getting some love in this Since it is a major change, the version number should reflect that. Now I have two completely different downloads with the exact same name Version numbers exist for a reason.
  7. It looks almost exactly like a photo Very well done!
  8. That is really fantastic! I have only one suggestion. Make the rivet line discoloration more subtile, like here: Just a friendly suggestion
  9. The DH.98 Mk VI Mosquito FB and the FW-190A-8 are most assuredly NOT third party.
  10. What is that tugboat trying to do?! null
  11. It took them a while, but Bitdefender confirmed that the report was a false-positive. They wouldn't say anything about why it was a false-positive, but informed that it was corrected in a recent update.
  12. I vote for the output formatting to be in an individual config file. 1) There are very few aircraft which have any use for other than one format. If your aircraft doesn't support MGRS, why would you want it. 2) The few aircraft that I know can use one or the other format are A-10, AV-8, and F/A-18. So should there be 8 different add-ons, one for each possible combination of output-formats * aircraft? If a fourth aircraft comes along, then 16 different add-ons? You need a list of aircraft designation the app gets back from DCS and a list of the output formats. Everyone plugs those into their config file they way they want them and that's it Put a single post up--maybe the first in this thread--with all names and formats and if anything new comes along, put it there for all to find, easy-peasy.
  13. If you've been literally offline from the internet for 9 weeks, the first thing I'd do is check that you have all the windows updates. You can get security updates monthly and major fixes quarterly, so there might be a number of them to catch up with. Being offline has nothing to do with sleep mode. As previously stated, if you can open the DCS company page by clicking the DCS logo at the top left of this page, then DNS and your internet access is working, but since you replied to this thread--unless from your smart phone--I'm guessing that that that much is working. So check your internet access first before anything else.
  14. Are you sure your internet access is running correctly? Curl is a utility used for accessing network objects, kind of like how you use a browser to navigate to a site and load pages. The error says: 101035.840 ERROR: Got Curl error (6): Couldn't resolve host name 101038.376 ERROR: Conection to server 'www.digitalcombatsimulator.com' failed: Couldn't resolve host name It wanted to connect to 'www.digitalcombatsimulator.com' so it asked DNS (Domain Name Services) to convert 'www.digitalcombatsimulator.com' from the URL (the written out name) to the IP address, but DNS said it couldn't resolve the URL (find the name in its list of URL's). Try accessing the Eagle Dynamics home page by clicking the DCS logo at the top left of the page. If you don't get the DCS commercial site home page, you network is not working correctly. If you do get the normal page, something else is amiss. I'd simply restart windows and try again, just to clear out any "cobwebs" that might be bugging windows.
  15. At first I thought DCS might have evaluated the 2nd kill as a maneuver kill and credited it to pilot error, as opposed to a forced failure. But Tacview listed it clearly listed as a credited kill. I hit it with 6 hits only moments before it crashed. I've attached a trim of the two kills - you might as well have a nice laugh at my dogfighting skills Tacview-20230628-225615-DCS-BNBOB - 02 - 2 kills.zip.acmi
  16. Ops: So you thinks he's dead? Pilot: He might be running operations for some squadron.... Mission 2, and I just barely got two kills. Flew back to "Bodney" and landed, ended the mission, check the results, 100% hurra! but only one kill registered--awww common man It's sad that the kills per mission are not shown, but worse that kills are not reported. I tried to watch the replay, but it break soon after the air battle starts and everyone hits the ground eventually. I watch the Tacview and there both kills are registered and reported. Go fig.
  17. Page 313, third paragraph, last line: Auto Aquisition Switch (sic).
  18. Yup, same thing, also Bitdefender: ".. attempt to install software.. "(!!) That binaries can trigger anti-virus signature recognition I understand completely, but attempting to install software is more than worrying. I'm going to raise this with Bitdefender as well, to be thorough.
  19. pffffheh! I was rebuilding my PC yesterday: new motherboard, new CPU, and... I forgot to download drivers while I was still running my old-n-slow system. So when I got everything installed, I had no network I had to download everything onto my smart phone and attach it to my "new" PC by USB and copy the drivers to then install them. I started at about 8am and by then time I got WLAN running, it was near midnight (yes, I took a lot of time doing everything, because I hate having to go back and redo things because I forgot this or that, because I was in a hurry... like downloading the new drivers... sigh Yeah, so I got the mud hen on the day of release, but my butt hasn't been introduced to it yet... yeah
  20. For me, the reboot fixed the issue. For whatever reason, the folder exception just didn't take until after reboot. How it is with disabling and rebooting, I can only go by what others have reported, that it only real works after rebooting. Strange.
  21. Thanks for the reply! The instructions I use for disabling BD are from BD's site itself. I'm not saying your instructions are wrong, but... Then again, I set an exception for "..\Eagle Dynamics", as has been suggested a couple of times, and it made no difference. I would have restarted my system sooner to try that, but I had started a BD full system scan in the mean time and that... took a while. Long story short, once the system scan was completed, I restarted the system (BD was not deactivated in any way, but "Eagle Dynamics" folder was listed as an exception from before the restart, I deleted "..\_downloads" manually and ran the latest DCS_Update.exe I had downloaded from DCS home as administrator, and before I could blink, the update completed successfully! I'll have to beat up on BD later. Right now, Sinai!!..... is... downloading... 2 hours... so slow (my ISP)... sigh
  22. BitDefender was completely shut down. No protection of any kind was active when I ran the updater the last two times. While BD was active, it quarantined the offending files and logged the activity. With BD deactivated none of that is occurring. Only the access violation is seen in the update log file. Also note, that if an update attempt failed, a folder structure is left in ..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS OpenBets\_downloads. If updater is repeated with ..\_downloads in place, the updater opens this popup If I then--without touching the popup--navigate to this folder structure and search of the "2 files with 0 bytes" there are none to be found; all folders are empty. I don't know what I can do beyond turning all protects off in BD.
  23. I've disabled BitDefender completely and downloaded the latest updater binary from here DCS World Updates, which I run as administrator, and yet I still get an "access is denied" violations: 00032.085 ERROR: UNPACK_FAIL: (20048)->[FileError: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\CoreMods/aircraft/Mirage-F1/bin/MirageF1Core.dll: (5) Access is denied. ] C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\CoreMods/aircraft/Mirage-F1/bin/MirageF1Core.dll.downloading.1a69af192da30d09 00033.161 STATUS: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\CoreMods/aircraft/Mirage-F1/bin/MirageF1Core.dll: (5) Access is denied. 00039.299 === Log closed. Full log attached. autoupdate_log.txt
  24. BTW I was online yesterday on a 4YA training server with the Clear Canopy Glass mod implemented, without issue.
