DCSFlightpanels (DCSFP) thread. Saitek Pro Flight Panels & DCS
EntropySG replied to a topic in DCS Modding
Hi, I just got the radio panel and am trying to use it with the A10C. I get the red digits and the wheel in the flightpanels control software page is rotating, which according to the manual means it reads data from DCS. However it does not seem to be communicating. The radio frequencies in game dont change when I use the saitek panel, and vice versa, when I change freq in game the panel won't update. Any idea what Im missing? -
Hi, uMFCD displays DCS connected as soon as I start the sim. However, it crashes DCS.exe immediately when I try to load a flight. No crash when uMFCD is not running.

ok after we used the stable version 1.2 of DCS we just now upgraded to DCS 1.5 since it it officially out of beta now. I just did a flight and check if everything is working. I can 100% confirm what others have reported you cant see SHIT in the TGP using FLIR mode. I literally cant find a target unless I know 100% where it is. This has been working very nicely in 1.2. I never complained about anything but now 1.5 is out of beta. This is a real pain in the ass and I dont understand how this beta version can be pushed to a stable release when one of the most critical systems in an aircraft like the A10 is almost useless due to errors in the graphics engine. Im not happy about this at all

Link to SLI requests on Nvidia Forums and Crossfire on AMD Forums
EntropySG replied to Lt_Maverick's topic in 2D Video Bugs
just posted, let's hope they will hear us. Like said before by many many other people, we would LOVE to get some statement, any statement from ED what the plans are for SLI. It was specifically announced that EDGE would be having SLI support, so please comment on it ED. (we love you any way, but we love you even more if you could give us a short update on what the plans are for SLI) -
Great!!!

Hi Baltic, here is my export.lua export.lua
-
sry guys, I wanted to share my export lua and totally forgot. Yeah, I can confirm it works 100% with all versions of DCS, stable, beta and alpha. All you need to do is use the export.lua provided by the developer of the app and insert your ipad's IP adress really at the end of the export.lua, you add the dofile commands to enable tacview and your radio plugin (aries, UniversRadio etc). Will hopefully remeber tonight when I get home to upload my export lua

Tip: Using Nvidia Inspector for different DCS versions
EntropySG replied to dburne's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Hi and thanks for this Three questions, since the control panel vs inspector thing always had me confused: 1. Could you make separate profiles for the various DCS installs? 2. Nvidia Inspector just needs to be ran once, and the settings are stored/applied whenever you start the game. Or do you have to start Inspector/have it running whenever you start your PC and fire up the sim? 3.Inspector Settings override Nvidia Control Panel settings, correct? -
works for me, I can post my export.lua tonight when I get home from work.

Comm / Radio System for Multiplayer?
EntropySG replied to pwrmx24's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
We use Universe Radio, works like a charm and is 100% reliable for us. http://tacnoworld.fr/universradio/ We used to use Aries, which for most of us worked great, but some people often hat disconnects/crashes, so we changed to UR -
known problem. Its totally unusable, in its current state.

I could not even imagine flying the A10C anymore without this app. works like a charm! In case you have the problem that it is output only, make sure you allow DCS.exe through your firewall.

great! See you on the other side soon :)

Hi Themis, the 132nd might exactly be what you are looking for. We currently have 4 active squadrons. One for KA-50, one for A-10C, one for ATC and one for JTACs. On Wednesdays 1900z we run trainings and on Sundays 1900z we run combat missions. Recently, our A10-C squadron opened the door for new recruits. We more or less expect from you that you have a basic understanding on how to operate your aircraft and systems, which you do, the rest we will teach you. Our IQT training involves ATC coms and procedures at the airfield, 2-ship formations and basic maneuvers. Once that is completed, in MQT you will practice proper deployment of guns and rockets, such as high and low angle strafes, attack heading restrictions, offsets, popup attacks etc. MQT finishes with a full combat-like checkout ride to earn your wings. After that, you are fully qualified and welcome to participate in our combat missions. After MQT however, training never stops. Next will be CAS with real JTACs (some of our guys do this in the real world), and eventually up to instructor pilot and/or FAC(A) qualification. We just started a new campaign, for which the first event will be this Sunday, and many other virtual squadrons will join. This however is not a competition, as you state in your post, we all work together to support troops on the ground, provide SCAR, CAS, strike missions, also troop transport with Huey to reinforce FOBs etc. We also have CAP flights in the air, and all is directed by AWACS controllers. It is very in depth and a lot to learn, but that is the fun part of this game/sim. If you are interested, click on the banner which will bring you to our homepage.

great stuff! will add to my kneeboard, thanks!

Unfortunately we are not in the same time zone, we run our ops on Wednesdays and Sundays at 1900z. We always have live ATC controllers, ground, tower, approach and AWACS manned. In case you are interested flying KA-50 or A10C drop an application on our website, we recently reopened a few slots for trainees :)
