  1. I started with the video and can say this is very exciting!!!!
  2. very nice!!
  3. iirc there should be a fog slider below the cloud settings
  4. oh you can definitely do that. Check out this video, its uncut footage from a 132nd flight where we practiced Precision Approach Radar (no ILS set intentionally, you get vectored in by ATC and get a talk-on onto the proper glidepath). Its lengthy so you might have to fast-forward but it should show the point
  5. This is awesome! Thanks to the dev team, make me feel like a kid again when I’ve seen TopGun back then for the first time!
  6. hey, Im also a VR user and could not even think about flying without the kneeboard builder. What I do during our briefings, I simply use the Win10 'Snipping Tool' to make screenshots on the fly of maps, frequency tables, airport diagrams etc or text files that I want to have ready in flight. I just save those screenshots on the desktop and before starting DSC, I quickly import them via the kneeboard builder. Takes just a few seconds and for me then it completely eliminates the need of taking off the headset during flight. Just make sure you keep the aspect ratio of your screenshots similar to your kneeboard dimensions, or it will not look good on the kneeboard later. Also, Im using the flaps lever of the Warthog throttle and map this to VR zoom in and out, that helps a lot with reading smaller test on teh kneeboard
  7. start uncontrolled?
  8. great news!
  9. yeah I feel dumb, indeed I had not waited long enough! It works, thanks for your help!
  10. AWesome! Grats on the release, very excited about this!
  11. Hi thanks for the replies. I played the startup tutorial and only after complete startup I set it to standby. Maybe I need to wait longer
  12. Sweet congrats on the release!
  13. great news Tacno, and grats on the 1st anniversary :) we are very happy users of UR
  14. just... WOW!!
  15. Hello, I cant get the radar to turn on. No matter how long I let it warm up, it wont come online, the screen staying black. When I go to standby, I can do the radar-selftest, then I see the cursor etc, but as soon as I flip it on, the screen goes black. I followed the correct startup procedure, still no joy. It works on a warmstarted plane
  16. yeah like Soganlug we always get AWACS stuck there after landing when its wings clip the storage depot
  17. Hello all, I have a question. We recently started getting into A-A in the 132nd, and of course now also have aggressor pilots for practice. For this, we also want to make use of IFF. So we use RED aircraft in the mission editor for aggressors, so the IFF routine can be done. Disadvantage however is that then we need red tankers, red airfield etc. Since we always fly with ATC, we would prefer to use BLUE aircraft so we can all fly out of the same airbase and have max traffic. Os there any way to set the IFF code to 'simulate' a hostile? Is that doable?
  18. what we can confirm however, since it has been mentioned here in this context, is that some Artillery, in our tests mainly smerch units, cause huge tearing and warping in multiplayer. Once we set the smerches to hold fire, it looks ok. Maybe not relevant in this context, but maybe helpful
  19. check out the MOOSE framework. With MOOSE and just 1 line of code you can define any shape of a zone simply using an AI aircraft set to late activation, its waypoints will define the shape of the zone, its super cool
  20. Hi thats awesome! Is there a functionality where you can, in addition to spawning planes at a designated airbase (like above), make them land at a designated airbase OnAfterRTB for example?
  21. could not agree more! That's also the power of flying with a good wingman, you can go heads down and use your sensors, but at all times there should be one guy in the flight just looking out of the window and build SA and yell if there are tracers/missiles. Saved my virtual life many times
  22. hi, whats your timezone? We are Euro based and do regular trainings on Wednesdays at 1800z and Training or Combat missions on Sundays at 1800z. Outside those two days there is virtually no activity. If those times and dates suit you and you are interested in any of the Airframes we fly: A10-C, Ka-50, M2k, Mi-8 as well as dedicated ATC and JTAC sqadrons, you are more than welcome to check us out, just click on my banner. To see some examples of us in action, check out our youtube channel for some CAS action
