  1. Bug or plastic bug is a common nickname for the Hornet.
  2. Works great, thanks a lot for your effort!
  3. I've always been lifting it by the stick since I bought it. I'll be more careful from now on...
  4. Hype intensifies... Thank you Cobra!
  5. Thank you Chuck, another one for the printer! ED should hire you for writing the official quickstart guides.
  6. Just setup the correct axis and go for a ride, it's a blast! After some low altitude high g maneuvers I got a warning siren I didn't know how to reset, blew the canopy trying to enable the mouse cursor, and then my engine flamed out and I crashed trying to land on a field. 10/10 would crash again.
  7. New DCSW update it's out, gogogogo!
  8. Same problem here, my FPS are dropping to low 20s near Sochi, playing the FC3 Su-25 campaign. After leaving the area, FPS go up to 60+ and stay there. Switching to flat only shadows helps some, but still getting 30ish FPS just looking around the cockpit on the ramp at Sochi. Settings attached, specs are i7 4770k, 16 Gb ram & GTX 980, running W10 x64.
  9. Just finished reading. If a quarter of that is true, then I regret having purchased TrackIR 5. It's not about the money spent, I am really happy with the product itself, but I wish I had read about those ghastly monopolistic practices before buying. You can count on my full support, hell if it works as advertised for 35$ I'll buy it.
  10. Yes it does work with the latest 2.0.
  11. It seems to me there is a problem with the new scaling options. The higher your screen resolution, the smaller your targets will appear. I play on a 25 inch 1440p display, model enlargement set to large, and i can't see sh*t. For example, in the quickstart Su-25 mission once I attack the last column and they leave the road and disperse, I can't find them again until they shoot at me. There is a mod for fixing this, haven't tested it yet: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=155459
  12. I seem to recall that's how the real aircraft works.
  13. With practice you can do almost anything. You don't even need a runway, i've landed the 21 in straight roads plenty of times.
  14. I've finally been able to try NTTR. Took a Su-25T from Groom Lake to Las Vegas, then on to Hoover Dam. Then i followed a highway until i crashed with some power cables and died. The new terrain is absolutely gorgeous, even better than I thought it'd be. Thank you so much for delivering this excellent product, in flight simulation ED reigns supreme! Nothing else comes close to DCS World 2.0.
  15. Belsimtek is doing the F-5E.
  16. I have all the modules except for the BF-109, Mi-8 & P-40. Prepurchased Nevada, the Mirage, the Albatross even though I haven't even flown it yet, I have all the trainers and I haven't even touched these. Between the ww2 warbirds, the korean war jets, the KA-50 & Huey, I doubt I have 10 flight hours. ED has all the data on development costs and must set the prices accordingly, to make the profit they deserve and let DCS keep growing. However I can tell you in my case, if it wasn't for those 70% discount sales, i'd own just FC3, Mig-21 & A-10C. All the others I bought just for the hell of it, I'd never have paid full price. Even at discount, I must have spent over 100€ in modules I don't ever use. Maybe I should be thankful for the end of 70% sales.
  17. LNS made a great Mig-21. The module is excelent by any standards. You don't like the campaign? Too bad, but saying LNS shouldn't touch Russian planes because of that? Seriously?
  18. Given the only available theater is the Caucasus, I guess they could've gone for a classic 70's or early 80's Cold War gone hot scenario, like the Guardians of Caucasus user campaign. Who knows why they choose to do a fictional scenario instead. To be honest i haven't played Stillness in Time so i can't judge if it's good or not. I don't think this is ever going to be the case again with LNS however, as they plan to release matching theaters and content with their next aircraft.
  19. Multiplayer capable Dynamic campaign would be awesome.
  20. Yep, CASA didn't produce any E's. Some of the B's are still in service though, they're used for training. They were upgraded some time ago, new VOR/ILS & Tacan, new V/UHF radios, MFDs, onboard computer, new navigation system (INS/GPS), radar altimeter, HUD, training radar, HOTAS controls... They are calling these upgraded trainers the F-5M.
  21. They could very well have chosen to change the designation altogether, it's not even the same airframe:
  22. I think we'd better forget about BVR and advanced Air to Ground munitions with this one. Aim-9, cannons, unguided air to ground and that's it. It's supposed to have a nice little HUD and gunsight, so cannons and rockets may be easier to use than in the Mig-21.
  23. Look for the road leading to the Roki Tunnel, connecting Georgia with Russia. From Gori (Georgia) go north, through Tskhinvali, then right at Didi Gupta. This was the historical invasion route in the 2008 Russo-Georgian war.
