  1. I know Big :)... I'm not trying to be disparaging at all I'm just trying to point out that it seems to be getting a reputation as being useless and inferior to SRS "so why even try". I know it will get better and almost certainly be the best solution (from a sim standpoint at the least)... but it's just that the longer it goes unfinished the more likely it won't be widely adopted... and that makes me sad because while SRS is great and I use it... I would LOVE to have the other effects that the ED solution should bring :)... but they'll only really be useful if it's widely adopted :).
  2. I didn't mean like air friction or something :)... What I meant was piston to cylinder wall friction... so RPM :). And that creates bucket loads of heat.
  3. I agree it would make our lives easier :)... but we would still need to verify ;). Every patch :).
  4. That's what I said. I'm just saying that one can derive the EM chart without having the EM chart. The DATA is important. Not the chart. Get off your high horse. You keep being super condescending assuming I don't know what I'm taking about because of your own assumption. I'm just saying that having a chart provided by the dev of the aircraft isn't super important. Having the data is important... however you choose to get it. Look at a chart... good for you. Go build a chart... good for you. fight against a known opponent and explore what the new toy does (and take notes...)... good for you. They all work just fine to get to the DATA that you need. The CHART... It only keeps you from going and learning the data for yourself... AND... you still have to go verify the chart. So... Not super important. Or just go memorize a chart that you only know is "probably close enough" and then that's how you'll fight too... Works for me
  5. I mean I get it :)... I'm just saying you can go figure it out (either the dogfight stuff or the flight stuff) and you're good. It's not like when you're merging you're referencing a diagram looking for that one plotted line labeled "Good Corner Speed"... You're flying the thing The other stuff that Swift mentioned is performance envelope info as well
  6. The longer it takes to fully implement this built in radio solution the more people will try it and reject it. I understand that things take time and all that for sure, but... I'm starting to hear people talk about it as if it's done and that it's not good compared to SRS. So people are not realizing that it's a work in progress. They think it's just what you've got and that's it so they migrate to SRS. Also don't get me wrong :)... I'm not against SRS it's a great solution as far as something 3rd party with all the limitations that comes with. I'm only saying that the longer the built in solution takes the less likely it is to be adopted widely once it's done.
  7. The ducking issue was fixed last patch as I recall. It's a WIP as well... nowhere near fully implemented. It should replace SRS eventually but with a few better features. primarily distance and terrain based attenuation etc... The radio's will work just like they do IRL. It will likely be somewhat better than SRS but it has a ways to go. Honestly I've NO idea why they don't just dedicate the time to finishing it ASAP. As it is they're really just making it seem like it's a bad solution and people will maybe not take a second look once it's complete. Kinda shot themselves in the foot if you will IMO.
  8. Go to that post and read from there :). I'm not sure what the problem is but I'd run through the install destructions "exactly". Including removing all mods (for now... add them back after to see if any break it), do the clean/repair step, all of it. For the D3D47 file... delete it instead of rename...
  9. The charts are not very useful. Maybe they save you a few minutes of flying looking for the performance envelope yourself, but... why would you do that? We're here to fly :).
  10. Yeah open the rads manually and reduce RPM when slow. As soon as you get some speed back set them back to manual. It's not only the MP that causes the heat. RPM causes friction. The Mustang just likes to stay fast.
  11. Yeah... basically NO changes at all... LOL Yeah... basically NO difference at all... The ED devs just simply wasted their last decade for sure...
  12. You've got no idea wtf you're talking about. I'm sure you're glad I have no time to. Just go look at some screen shots from a effing decade ago... Then give some credit where credit is due you jerk. How rude... Not updated or optimized in ten years... You know that's bull<profanity>.
  13. It's GREAT to have someone like you testing this Ciri :). Thank you.
  14. " I'm limited by the junky DCS engine" It's not junk friend. Leave the hate at the door. It's trying to do WAY more than the other flight sim engines out there. Please be sure to be informed if you care to argue with me. I have no time to inform you.
  15. Thank you Nikoel for your continued efforts :).
  16. I strongly recommend against the use of Alt Hold channel. It will try to kill you if you're going fast enough.
  17. Sorry I didn't do gunner seat... AMD 3800X running 4.2Ghz and a 2080 Non-Ti. Resolution is at 100%. Most of the settings are low in DCS except for a few... I think high ground texture and medium cockpit texture... view distance to "far"? One setting beyond Medium for view distance I think. Water at Medium. Trees at 100% but the tree detail and the environment detail sliders set to 75%. I'd have to take a screen shot and I'm at work now so... can't right now. Nvidia settings are just "Prefer max performance" and leave the rest alone... HAGS off... Pretty basic stuff.
  18. I have repro disabled... but it acts the same either way. Is there another place to disable it aside from the OXR tools (purple WMR looking icon...)? Also it's at 90Hz... I don't care for the flicker at 60... but honestly when I actually just put it on and play with it at 60 I get used to it super quick... I just don't like it in the menu really.
  19. Me? It's off It's just I'm only running a 3800X@4.3 and a very mildly overclocked 2080 non-Ti.
  20. I swear my reverb will hang at 60 when it can't get to 90 FPS... I mean with my rig I have to be looking at the sky for 60 so maybe I'm just getting lucky and that's 60 for me when I'm looking :)..
  21. Of course it's not a "good" thing. Clearly :). However... 30 isn't bad with OXR. It's pretty well un-usable in SVR... But not even uncomfortable in OXR. You can tell it's not running 45 or 60 or whatever but it's WAY less problematic than the same frame rate/time in SVR. It's 43-45 in that instant action. "Reprojection" forced off or on... same result.
  22. It has a lot to do with ED and the Toolkit dev... Namely to share ideas and stumbling blocks to save ED some time if they choose to give us a checkbox. Why are you seemingly so against OXR dburne? Seems an odd thing to constantly decide to be negative about. It's helped a lot of people get DCS working in a much better and more usable way.
  23. Well it has worked for a LOT of other people.
  24. Yeah other than that visibility range it looks good so there has to be something else going on... I mean MP is certainly a bit slower... but not a ton. Maybe make sure your network card drivers are up to date (some software NIC's use a ton of CPU), set core affinity or take a look at the CPU and what's actually happening when you're in MP. Turn off AV software just in case it's being a dork... All the settings mentioned by MunkWolf...' I'd bet it's throttling somewhere...
