Can anybody comment further on using a Winwing Orion2 stick for rotary aircraft??? I have a TM Warthog for most my fixed wing but see some advantages of being able to easily pull the springs & cams from my Winwing for use with UH-1, CH-47, and UH-60. I have the kits but not sure of a proper setup Anyone have any experience with this plan and recommendations to implement? Appreciate comments

Warthog HOTAS friendly????
AvgWhiteGuy replied to AvgWhiteGuy's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Warthog stick is not a problem (yet), I may swap over to my WinWing after removing/replacing springs. But sorting out the Collective or Thrust Control Levers; not sure which throttle or axis to use. Mind sharing on those settings? -
Has anybody flown this with a TM Warthog HOTAS...successfully. If YES, would you mind sharing just the basic flight control setups and possibly Axis curves. I'm struggling with EVERYTHING but particularly the Collective or Thrust Control Levers ???? What other devices are you rotary pilots using for Collective with Hueys/MH-60/Apache, etc. I'm willing to spend if it's worth the investment. Suggestions appreciated.

Guys & Gals, check your accounts at DCS Profiles online. I never received any notification via email after the initial June 25 acknowledgement of my request for refund/credit. Today (July17) while buying CH-47 I was advised I had been CREDITED for the F-15 refund on July 12. So I bought more..........

I'm being patient as I plan my next purchase....Rotary - Terrain, Terrain - Rotary...leaning Rotary
-
@Minsky Thank you very much, I don't know why they can't post the Lat/Lng coordinates of all these Terrains' corners so we can see the BIG picture on Google Earth or another resource. Seems to be a lot of nothing out there for the most part; a huge sandbox

Would some be kind enough to post a screenshot from the Mission Editor so I can get an idea of exactly how big the area perimeter is and what major countries/cities it includes.

@Nicolaus123 Just curious, did Support notify you via email or another method? And I agree with you about a DCS version but I'm not really interested in a 2 seater, much prefer a F-15C. If they ever offer one I'll lay out the cash in a heartbeat.

@kotor633....thank you very much, hopefully will receive response within a week or so to make a new purchase.

I can't figure out how to navigate thru that link to apply for a refund...keep getting tossed in circle between the main web page and the left column of topics.

Have had this set of Cougar Pack MFDs for years with no problems at all. Now they seem to conflict somehow and both do not show up on Thrustmaster Control Panel at the same time. This is NOT in-game problem with DCS. Plug one in (right or left) and it shows up as expected, plug in the other and it does not show but the LED buttons just flash on/off. Reverse the process and the same result. The Settings (Thrustmaster Control Panel) seem correct as one shows up as Left #1, the other as Right #2. All other USB devices are working fine. I've played around endlessly changing these settings to no avail, and it doesn't matter if I'm using a USB 2.0 or 3.0 powered hub. How could there be a conflict between these devices, and where would I even look to find one? Appreciate any help,

DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis
AvgWhiteGuy replied to Eight Ball's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
It looks like you have no MODs at all right now, and that shouldn't be a problem. I'm no expert but create a \mods folder inside \DCS.OpenBeta, then create a \aircraft folder inside \mods. Then copy/paste your ZIP into \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft and unzip it. -

Some updates might actually stir up more interest in a future PURCHASE for some people on the fence about it's value in the SIM. Eye candy screenshots aren't very convincing me in our digital world anymore, I'd prefer some functionality for known significant issues. Just an opinion... -

Probably easier to just copy the ZIP into C:\Users\[Username]\Desktop\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft >> then unzip there. If that works you can go back and find where you put the Hercules ver 6.8.2 directory originally and delete it. It's a free 3rd party Mod, not an aircraft (per se) so it needs to go to Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\ directory. It does NOT belong in the C;\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\ I made the same mistake (several times ) until our esteemed colleague @Rudel_chw got me sorted out. His instructions and suggestions led me to add a another 500GB SSD dedicated to EagleDynamics and free up the C:\ -

not planned or realistic A-10C II GAU-8 tracer ammo
AvgWhiteGuy replied to Red_Camarada's topic in Wishlist
@ASAP...........I'm sure they tested it somewhere along the way but I don't think it compares to rockets or Mavs because a) the gun smoke would defuse that tracer glare right in front of your face making it a bigger impairment, and b) the Mavs and rockets are firing from behind you, and to the side. In any case I'm sure some creative genius could create a MOD that might simulate this spectacle. Might be fun to eval -
+1 if I got you folks correctly. I want to (hypothetically) build a template of a couple houses, next a restaurant, next a garage, next to a ....whatever, and save that on Syria. And then drop that same template on the Persian Gulf or Caucasus map. YES, that would be a time saving little trick similar to building a SAM site, FARP or ????

What does ModelViewer2.exe do? It won't launch for me...is there parms needed? I'm looking for some way to go thru all these MOD vehicles-arms-personel-statics to find the right objects. Some just appear ingame as a 3D box.
