  1. I'm neither a software developer nor a businessman and i have to admit i didn't even think about the fact that he lost his accounts. I wasn't really surprised but i somehow thought he would loose all that in case they don't find a positive solution for all this. I also think we will not get any information about what exactly happend and who right and who was wrong (after the end of all this). But that's ok - it's not our business. The only thing we need to know is when the dispute is over and if it's a positive or a negativ result. And if negative in terms of the cooperation between the two parties i would like to know what the future of the RB modules is. But i'm sure as soon as there are some information about this, they will let aus know - in the first post of this thread or by other means. It may sound pretty naive but reading that razbam_prowler suddenly got all his accounts back sounds to me a bit like ED and RB are setting up and preparing the continuation of their partnership in order to come back to normal - as it was before all this happend. I mean why should ED give him all his accounts back and why should it make him optimistic of a positive outcome if there wouldn't be something positive on the horizon? As i said: maybe i'm just naive and it's just wishfull thinking by me but at least it looks like a good step in the right direction. And @Rudel_chw: Thanks a lot for posting that. I don't use discord and this gives me some hope
  2. Same for the JF-17. The problem with the CBUs was already there before this dispute. Last summer (already during the problems between RB and ED) there was an update (11.07.2024) where this problem was fixed - also for the Harrier. After this update it worked for me. But a later update broke it again. I think if they were able to fix that without the help of RB in july last year, they should be able to fix that again. I‘m really not sure and i might be wrong but i think there was a post in which one of EDs CM wrote that ED doesn‘t want to put their hands on the RB modules while these legal things are going on (which would be understandable) but it could also be that i just missinterpreted that post. Unfortunately i don‘t find it anymore. EDIT: i think this was the post i‘ve read. And maybe i really missinterpreted it but i still think it‘s like i said:
  3. Puh guys ….. you have to change the title. When i‘ve read „Su-25A Announced“ i was really celebrating just to find out that it‘s „just“ an update to the FC Frogfoot and it will be for free in the future….. i was always dreaming of a FF Su-25A and for a very short time i thought it will come true. That was a pretty disappointing experience….
  4. And what does it mean?
  5. Yes, i think it was something like this, what i‘ve read and what i‘ve meant. It‘s pretty understandable. Thanks for clarification. This is something, your COO should have mentioned in order to not confuse the community because it sounded a bit like ED is going to finish the F-15E in case RB doesn‘t. Anyway it means a lot to me to hear that the F-15E is for you guys from ED as important as for all the other fans of this aircraft. I think the easiest way would be if everything goes back to normal - as it was before all this happend. I‘ve no idea how that should work out but it would be the easiest way for all of us.
  6. I'm afraid the only official answer you could get is: "If there is something new, we will share it with you (in the first post)." It was already mentioned that they will do their best to keep the modules in the current state. I think i saw a post (most probably in this thread) where i've read something which i understood like they don't do anything on the modules in order not to mess up the situation even more than it is right now and in case of a negative ending of this story they will keep everything in it's current state. But i'm really not sure if i missinterpreted or missunderstood this post. I just tried to find it but i didn't and i just don't want to waste my time anymore on this because i'm pretty tired of this whole sh*t. It feels like the CMs (don't get me wrong - i appreciate your work here) are strictly instructed not to share any single information but in the meanwhile the COO herself started with weird comments about the MiG-23 and the F-15. But still no confirmation or anything on this. I think if you want just a rough information on this - you would need to be happy with "They'll do their best to maintain it in the current state." If you want a more detailed information i guess you should expect the one i wrote above - unfortunately.
  7. You are so right!! And i really should. But as i said: i can't motivate myself. I just can't. EDIT: and just to make it clear: I hate myself for that
  8. That's right and i would love to take that for granted. But on the other hand if you read this thread it sounds like these kinds of comments are more or less common practice to calm down the customers a bit. Since i'm not working in the software industries or sales business, i have no clue about these common practices. But if that's true, we don't have only the "How and when". We also have a big "If" and also a "Who". And these are essential questions without an answer which leaves me in the dark And that's sad because even though i know the SE is really enjoyable in the current state, i am totally lacking of motivation to go deeper into it. Because everytime i use it, i enjoy it a bit more. The more i enjoy it, the more i'm afraid of loosing it again because of it's uncertain future. I know: sounds stupid but unfortunately it is as it is. If i could take this "Don't worry abaout the F-15" comment as granted i would immediately start again with the F-15E. I like the first post in this thread, because it's clear and contains just the cold facts with almost no room for speculations or interpretation. I can ignore all these "leaked informations" from a couple of programmers, but it's pretty hard for me to ignore a comment like this from the COO of ED itself. Even though these informations are from EDs COO it seems not to be official because it's not in the first post - so where are we now? (edit: that's the "darkness" i'm talking about )
  9. As long as i don‘t know what „Don‘t worry, the F-15 will see development this way or the other“ and „MiG-23 will be a thing“ means, i‘m absolutely in the dark. And that‘s the problem. That‘s why it is (in my opinion) unprofessional. She did exactly that. I know, you know, almost everyone of the community knows that she has access to more information and knows apparently more than most of the other staff of the company and belongs to the circle of persons who are giving the official informations to the CMs in order to publish them - through this channel. Now she bypassed the CMs and this channel and commented on this topic by herself knowing exactly that every single official information has to be communicated via this channel. And what kind of information did she give? It‘s all half backed…. it could mean everything and nothing at the same time - just depending of what every individual person here wants to read into it. And the silence after this 2 comments reminds me on the times when i was a kid and my parents told me that they saw Santa Claus and all the presents he was carrying with him but when i asked, if they also saw mine they started to ignore me. Meanwhile i‘m a bit to old for this kind of games. This is not a „20XX and beyond“ video where you can tease a new module or something else. This is a serious situation where a lot of customers are loosing trust in the platform and in ED and it‘s for sure not the right time to play with public perceptions…. She‘s not one of the programmers, leaking some information. She‘s the COO of ED. If the COO wants to talk to the customers directly because she has to say something, go ahead, i appreciate that. But make it clear - not like this because this is a very sensitive topic. What i wrote has absolutely nothing to do with the Hawk disaster. It was mentioned more than enough times that the thing with the source code depends on when the contract for a module was signed and it‘s more or less not affecting the SE, which could be pretty bad for us. And i think it‘s not that, what people thought when they‘ve read the comment about the F-15. I think what people thought is more like ED and RB just made some kind of agreement that RB will sell the code to ED in case everything goes really bad - or something similar. A bit like „Guys, we just achived another goal in our negotiations, don‘t worry anymore about the F-15 - it‘s already safe. Now the negotiations will continue.“
  10. But to be honest: making public comments about the future of two very anticipated RB modules by the COO herself during times like these and then going completely silent again is not very professional. Implying that there might be some very good news but not confirming it and leaving the customers again in the dark is making even more damage than it's helping in this situation.
  11. I have to say, i'm a bit disappointed. I tested the remastered version and i think this should have been a free update to an old module and not something we have to pay for. I was expecting a bit more for 10 USD....
  12. Ah no, it‘s ok. Your tone was fine. I just wanted to make clear that i have no idea of all these legal things and don‘t care if something is called this or that
  13. That‘s what i was asking for. I quoted your „request“ for a clarification and i just said that it would be awesome to have one because - as you said - as the COO she can speak in behalf of ED (ok, i called it an official statement which seems to make you a bit nervous). And if you don‘t want to call it a statement… fine. Replace the word „statement“ with the word „comment“ or whatever - for me it‘s the same because english is not my first language and i‘m not a lawyer - so i‘m not good in twisting words and analyzing who said what with which words in which way to figure out if it‘s legally useful or not. Long story short: i just wanted the same as you.
  14. What i meant was it would be awesome if they could clarify the statements. It would be nice if RB comes back and continue their job finally. But i have to admit…… …meanwhile this is all i‘m interested in. I always tried to defend them when they had again one if their „difficult phases“ - even during this Final Release of the Harrier disaster and i didn‘t regret it because they really pushed the Harrier after this <profanity>storm. But after this show in April i think i don‘t know what to defend anymore and how. I‘d rather like to see their modules in the hands of a more reliable team. Regarding the „eventually“ in your comment: At the moment there are serious and justified doubts if RB will come back to DCS. This is also affecting the development of the Strike Eagle cause in the worst case we will lose it completely and compared to that….. yes… „eventually“ is absolutely ok for me. I‘ve got a lot of patience. But that‘s all just my personal opinion.
  15. That would be awesome since this is already some kind of official statement, isn't it?
  16. I really like the F-15E and i was really happy to read such news. I was expecting the F-15E to disappear in the or in the best case to be stuck in the current state "for ever". Hearing that the SE will get further development (no matter when) makes me very happy because that is what i was not expecting anymore... Now it seems like the current state of the Strike Eagle is good enough to play with it until the development continues (when ever that might be).
  17. Might be. I prefer my way of interpreting this. And i also think the statement was not refered to the F-15 in general but to the Razbam F-15E.
  18. Yes i already thought that this might be something i got a bit wrong. But the most important parts of the statement for me are "...but don't worry..." and "...this or the other way..."because the most important thing to know for me is if the SE has a future in DCS at all or not and this statement sounds to me like the answer is a clear YES. I don't care about the "when" i needed a positive answer on the "if" question - if you know what i mean. That's also why i asked a couple of comments before if she said maintenance ir development. For me this statement was a big surprise tbh.
  19. Sorry but i have again a - maybe stupid - question becuase maybe i missed something or i totally missunderstood a for me pretty important information. Since this problem got public the biggest worries for most of us was that RB stops working on their modules and they go "the way of the Hawk". BN and NL (and i appreciate their work - espacially here in this thread) stated already, that this will not happen - at least for Harrier, Mirage and MiG-19 as these modules are considered feature complete. So ... even if the outcome of the dispute is negative these 3 modules will stay in the game and will be functional as they are now - and if there are new bugs in the future they will be fixed. It would be nice if they were not just maintained but also improved, but maintained is fair enough. Now the biggest problem is the F-15E. That's the module which could in case of a negative outcome go the way of the Hawk, or the best way would be that the SE will stay in game in it's current state - which would be still enjoyable but also pretty frustrating. In this thread are 12 pages full of discussions about the RB-ED story and there is the "Archive thread" with 184 pages. People are talking and discussing every single, annoying, legal aspect of the current situation. They compare it with own experiences from their jobs or previous occupations, with experiences they had with their local car dealer and other stuff. 196 pages in total and all of a sudden the COO of ED comes out with the information that we don't need to worry about the F-15 and .... nothing. Not a single reaction in this thread. I mean "The F-15 will still be in its current state, but don't worry. It will see development one way ore the other, in time." as a statement from the COO of ED sounds to me like no matter what the outcome of the dispute is - either RB, another 3rd Party or ED itself will continue development of the F-15 (or maybe there is already a complete different solution). It sounds like all the RB modules are save. Like there is already a positive decision about the future of the RB modules (especially the SE) if the worst case comes true. It sounds like extraordinary good news but no one here seems to care..... Now i'm asking myself: "What did i miss??" Or did just seriously missinterpret this statement? I was so happy to read this and i thought now this thread will explode within the next 24 hours but .... nothing. And these are my 2 stupid questions: 1. Did i miss something? and 2. Did i get this statement completely wrong?? Please - could someone help me out here?
  20. Thank you. Now i'm a bit confused...
  21. Thanks for the translation but i have to ask (maybe a stupid question) did she say development or maintenance?
  22. FIRST go to EHSD - DATA - AC. Enter the coordinates and the Variation. THEN switch the selector to GND. Make sure the UFD rotary is on "bright".
  23. I have to admit that i have no clue about developing a module but there are 2 things coming in my mind when it comes to comparing these two cases: 1.: When the Hawk came out there was no Early access. It was still called „Beta Version“, which basically is the same - just another name for this concept. Iirc the Hawk was released as some sort of „PreBeta“ version - just to try it already. When VEAO disappeared the Hawk was still not even close to be feature complete. It was even worse than any other module at the beginning of EA nowadays. While the Hawk is a really great aircraft, the VEAO module was very buggy, crappy and lacking of lots of features - not really worth the effort keeping it in the current state as it was in the game. In the RB case - appart from the F-15E - the other 3 modules are supposed to be feature complete and „just“ need bug fixing (i think it sounds much easier as it actually is). 2.: Even though i really like the Hawk and would instantly buy it again, i think the 3 RB modules are much more popular aircrafts than the Hawk. This two considerations (in my opinion) makes this whole story completely different from what happend to the Hawk.
  24. MSFS is MicroSOFT not MicroPROSE. Do you have a source for that? And please not this YT Video where someone thinks to see the MicroProse Logo at the stand of Razbam in Japan..... Microprose made the Strike Eagle Series in the 90s. But i think this is not really related to DCS at all....
  25. Well, while i totally agree with you, it could be pretty plausible why Metal2Mesh has this picture which he posted on reddit: Maybe he asked Ron Zambrano for his personal payment and he replied that he already asked Nick Grey for the payments to the company. By sending him a screenshot of this conversation he wanted to proof that he's not lying... and then, when all this started, M2M posted this screenshot on reddit - still very unproffessional and if i were Ron Zambrano i would be pretty pi**ed about that. But all these pictures and screenshots of these conversations can also be just fakes. I could easily start a whatsapp chat, calling myself "Ron" and asking a friend to call himself "Nick". Putting a DCS SE Cockpit Screenshot as a background and here we go.... I'm 100% sure there are lots of trolls out there in the WORLD wide web enjoying sh*t like this and spreading rumors, panic and false information. Imo all this is not official and that means i don't care about these kind of information...
