  2. I thought about making some different aircraft models to replace them but it's not high on my priority list right now. What aircraft would you guys want instead of AN-2 and MI-8?

  8. Looks cleaner than some of the samples from the Artec Eva web site, did you have to do much clean up to get to that point?
  9. I've been meaning to post this for a while and keep forgetting. Since I can't give everyone rep at the same time, I just wanted to thank everyone who's been willing to share info and help in any way. I'll get rep to you all as it becomes available to give.   10. It's not about code, The external model has to have an arg=114 which removes the parts of the model that get in the way. Open up the external model, and set arg=114 to 1 and see if parts of the model dissapear. If the external model does not have arg=114 there is nothing you can do.

  13. Nice start you got there. Unwrapping complex meshes is always a battle between alignment for easier painting vs. minimizing stretch. As for where to start, finding good tutorials, for anything, is lots of prospecting through hundreds of absolutely horrible, in both quality and info, videos to find the nuggets of good. :) Below I've linked to a couple of good videos. The 3rd video is a model and uv tutorial. The unwrap starts at 49 minute mark. As for tools, you may want to check out textools. It looks like it's got some pretty nifty features.   15. Got it sorted, thanks to luckybob9. I was doing it the correct way, so it had to be my .lods file. Went through it character by character and found an extra quotation mark. Felt like an idiot when I found that, lol So Fracture's tip of the day is don't work too far past your bedtime, and triple check your text files for typos.
  16. +1 on the Huey for you heli fix. And from what you've said, I'd suggest: F-86\Mig-15 for basic fighting\bombing A-10C if you want to upgrade to more advanced systems.

  20. Всем привет, каким образом LOD настроим для самолетов? Основное руководство для статических объектов только экспортирует 1 .EDM с Лод информации запеченной в свойствах объекта. Но самолеты имеют раздельные LOD файлы и описание .lod файл. Поиск на английском и RU форумах не дал ничего. Руководство для начинающих пока не имеет информации о настройке LOD-х. Заранее спасибо, излом
  21. Hey Skate, it wasn't a coding issue as I was just doing a EDM replacement of the A-10A cockpit for testing, it was an EDM issue, which is what I eluded to in my original question. For further testing: I exported with my screen mesh hidden and the E\O screen appeared where it would have been in the A-10A. So ok now we're getting somewhere. I then unlinked the helpers from the screen mesh (on a whim) and what do you know, the E\O screen snapped right where I wanted it. I thought helpers had to be linked to something, aparently not. Thanks for trying to help, because any and all help is greatly appreciated. :)
  22. Cobra if you could look at it from a fresh perspective you'd see that the perception of some with regard to you and updates is like Charlie Brown, Lucy, and the football. You keep saying you won't yank the football away yet the perception of some is that is what is happening. Then when they get venomous you often snap back which doesn't paint you in a good light. I get that you guys are busting your tails, and that it is difficult, stressful, and agravating, but you're not doing yourself any favors lowering yourself to the level of the venomous,(even when they deserve it). You don't want to risk leaving a bad first impression of you and by default Leatherneck for new perspective customers to see. IMHO I don't like the delays any more than the next guy, but I can completely understand the situation, so I just don't let it bother me. Personally I'm more interested in a buy now button than an update, but I'll take what I can get. :) Best of luck to you and the team; Fracture
  23. I was trying to use the A-10A as a learning example. It's also used in the A-7E mod. The A-10A maverick screen only uses PNT-TVM-DOWN PNT-TVM-CENTER PNT-TVM-RIGHT So I created those in my test model and linked them to the model.
  24. Does the particular screen mesh need a specific name, or texture, or object property, or all of the above lol?
