  1. Can't praise you enough mate, people like you are what makes the community tick!
  2. +1 Can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this video 2016 is going to be a great year for DCS
  3. Thoroughly enjoyed this really interesting video, thank you for your effort to make this. EDIT: By the way, do you happen to know if Groom Mine is there? Here is a link to its history, you might find it interesting ;) http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-unlikely-struggle-of-the-family-whose-neighbor-is-a-1741346156
  4. Reserve one for me as well please, this is just amazing value for money compared to the competition
  5. Hahaha you got my hart stopping there for a second! Can't wait!
  6. @Tarres From what I understand the ONLY unrealistic aspect of the Mig-21's navigational systems are that the RSBN coordinates are stored inside a file instead of a live feed from a ground system, or am i missing something? Could you be a bit more specific as to how the radar, gunsight and missiles are acting unrealistic?
  7. Why this choice? Especially since a pair of Jumo 004's have been restored and tested in 2015, wouldn't it be just as easy to use a pair of them? https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152841379843666
  8. This. This so much. By the way, does anyone know if the D-5/G-2 had the Jericho trumpets or were they already removed by this time in the war? And can someone recommend me some good detailed books about the Ju-87? Thanks in advance!
  9. So I bought the BF-109, guess what happened.... 1 )Bound Steam key to account and could download it from the Module Manager. (See Log 1) 2) No training missions available and the In-Game Manual gave an error message that it couldn't find the file. It was searching for a .txt.lua file so I figured some file missing. 3) Tried "dcs_updater.exe repair", couldnt find anything (See Log 2) 4) Deleted the module through the garbage can (See picture 1) 5) Reinstalled the module through "dcs_updater.exe install BF-109K4". Got only 1 error of Windows 10 saying that I already have the PDF manual and if I wanted to replace it. I clicked "Ok" (See picture 2) 6) Module nowhere to be found in DCS Log 1.txt Log 2.txt
  10. Like I wrote, that didnt work.
  11. I just put this here as well since it's relevant to the problems at hand, and I hope I can make someone happy with it. Another workaround for the Module Manager bug if you bought your keys from Steam and/or if DCS Updater is on the fritz.
  12. UPDATE: I made it work! I deinstalled and deactivated my DCS and started from a fresh install (Version 1.5.2.48726) Flaming Cliffs 3 installed right of the bat, with option to install Su-27 Ultimate Argument through the Module Manager. But now I had problems with all my other modules. It told me: i dont own Mig-21 (I do own it) THe FW-190D-9 disappeared from the module manager (which i own as well) I unbound the Dora from my account, logged into DCS World and refreshed the store. There it was: I could buy Dora. Thrn I bound the key to my account (again), and it disappeared on me again. When I tried to force dcs updater.exe to download them through the command line, I again experienced DCS starting immediatly followed by a black screen. All these modules, except FC3, are Steam keys used in the standalone version of DCS by the way. FC3 was purchased through the ED website. UPDATE: I made it work! Through experimenting, I found the answer and it is repeatable with my other modules. Step 1) Unbind the key from the account Step 2) Start DCS World, go into Module Manager and refresh your account. Quit DCS. Step 3) Bind the key again to your account. Step 4) Force DCS updater to download the module and quit it through Task Manager Step 5) Start DCS WOrld, go into Module Manager and refresh your account. It should be enabled to download. The cost was a day of my life, and a sincere hatred towards the lack of dedicated installers. I would fix this problem ASAP guys. After spending 8,5 hours on this problem on the last day of the year. I've become seriously afraid of buying modules ever again. But i'm happy, at least I can play with what I paid for. :pilotfly:
  13. I'm using 1.5.2 (the one launched yesterday)
  14. So, I just purchased the SU-27 Campaign DLC from Steam (Already owned FC 3), bound the key to my account through the ED website but it doesnt show up??? Tried to force the download through the command prompt, but that doesn't work properly (crashes DCS) and I also can't find the DLC in the Module Manager How can I solve this problem?
  15. Yeah, and that was my problem. That didn't work I found the problem though! It appears that my DCS (1.2) won't handle multiple profiles well. Deleted my profile from the main menu and everything works as it should have. Gonna buy some modules now, thanks for the effort! :joystick:
  16. The HTML button does work, the save button doesn't (when I click "Save as" or "Load" they don't respond. In any case the modifier keeps disappearing on me
  17. I don't really know where to start TBH. I have the strangest bugs 1) In the Controls Menu I cannot save nor load a profile, 2) The game won't remember my custom Modifier, so each time I start a flight I need to re-add my modifiers for my hotas. (REALLY anoying!) I already searched the internet for help on this issue for the past couple of hours, but couldn't find ANYTHING. (I'm using a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X) Any advice would be much appreciated :(
  18. Leatherneck, why the choice for a mid-to-late 80s F-14A instead of an early one? Not only would that more accurately portray the Iranian F-14's (the most interesting and compelling story of all the F-14's IMHO), it would also give more separation between the A and B models Loving the Mig-21 by the way, keep it up!
